I'm on RSK 7.2 by Mr Mefisto and thought I'd try out some cheap movies on HTC Watch. So I registered, paid a few euros and downloaded a few movies. Go to watch them and message comes up "unable to download the license: DRM engine is not initialized".
Can anyone help me out on this problem please?

DRM is Digital rights management, basically like security to prevent you from copying it. It's possible that the custom ROM doesn't have the DRM engine, for one reason or another.
If you have an account it should be linked to that, so if you tried a different ROM it SHOULD be still available, and may work then.
Is there any way I can get the DRM engine? I haven't changed roms since I bought the films.

Don't know, but I'm only theorising this either way.
Just did full wipe and brand new flash of this Rom but Watch still not working. Anyone else got this problem or got a solution?

Does the ROM include the drmprovider.apk? Don't know of this will fix it or not.

It might because HTC Watch is only meant for newer sense versions I think. Have you seen any evidence of anyone else being able to install Watch on the desire and watch videos?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA
I would have thought this sense version would be ok (3.5) Haven't seen any mention of this problem in the ROM thread and I can't post my problem there cos of site regulations.

The thing is that ROM is a port rather than an official build ,you only need two more posts to be able to post in the dev section so Id just see if you can get 2 more posts in somewhere by helping someone out or giving your suggestions.

So, I was reading that jellybean will be the first phase of phasing out Flash.
It looks like HTML5 is going to kick in for mobile, plus adobe Air. But, Flash will be for desktops etc...
Or am I miss reading the info.

I've noticed certain flash sites don't even work now. Prompting a flash download that won't download.
These sites are fine on the gs2 but one x won't.
Flash will not be supported anymore for mobiles, starting from jelly bean.

Shame really a lot of sites still use flash: shopping, games and the like.
The web needs a big redo into HTML5, which btw isn't even the standard yet and is still under development.

I do a lot of virtual tours using flash, but I have HTML5 capable publishing.
Does anyone have an idea of what language will be used to animate? Is it java?

It can and it will. But if you are not willing to root your device, hence loosing your warranty, then I suggest you should first send your phone to the repair center
I wanted to send to repair and then root an install customs... If it would fix than i root.

As the title states my mic suddenly stopped working. Have not dropped my phone or anything. I am pretty sure is hardware but before buying a new mic and spending on a phone that's almost 2 years old, any suggestions? I know I can repair it if its hardware and also know that I can get a new phone, but I just really love my I4G. So any comments or possible solutions are welcomed.

I also had same kind of incident but it was my front speaker stopped working... Before that it didnt show any signs of ageing... ... You have to replace the mic. No other go..

Just to be sure that it isn't software, run an RUU back to stock (you can root after if you so wish). I think a few guys reported broken mics and that flashing an RUU fixed it, but hey, its worth a shot

Tnx guys ! Will try that!

Hi!
I am trying to get EAP-SIM for my phone (an lg optimus 2x), but it seems that it is not been activated on the drivers...
And I just found out that the HTC Desire Z has the same Wifi driver than my phone!
Also, that the HTC Desire Z with CSI 4.0.4 from htc_wwe release (HTC normal ROM) has the ability of getting the Eap-Sim connection!
So I was wondering if some one would be kind enough as to send me their file of wpa_supplicant which can usually be found at: /system/bin/wpa_supplicant
So that I can test with my phone...
Thanks!
Are you sure that you mean the desire z ? Not maybe the T-Mobile g2x ? The DZ doesn't have official ICS from HTC.

Well following the information here,
It states: HTC HTC Desire Z 4.0.4 htc_wwe 2/2
Meaning that HTC Desire Z with a 4.0.4 htc_wwe works with EAP-Sim
But since I don't own one... I can't be sure of this
Must be a typo cuz there are newer HTC phones that still only run gb
Sent from my GT-P3110 using xda app-developers app
That's probably a typo. I've never seen any official ICS ruu floating around for the DZ
But you could try it with a bin file of a custom ROM. If you want one I can send it to you.

I don't mind trying
you probably could just download any ROM and take it out, really any ROM one of us here picked to send you would be a shot in the dark as there is no ICS WWE for this phone.
anyway if your not into downloading ROMs heres one pulled from a 4.x ROM for ya

Hey thanks!
How can I recover it from any ROM?
Don't I need a cellphone to do this?
All I did was unzip the ROM, take out the file, zip the file (only needed to zip it because of xda hosting rules)
