I'm hoping to have twice as much luck since theirs a European version and a US version coming out. Has anyone heard of a possible battery for the phone?

Erm you do realise that the battery is NON REMOVABLE
ie YOU CANT TAKE IT OUT AND CHANGE IT!!
well not without alot of hard work and ruining your device and warranty

Hi all,
I have been using a HTC Desire Z. I was wondering if it is a worthy upgrade to the One X? My main dislikes are the non removable battery and no micro SD card. Is there other features would convince me to get this device?

U can upgrade to One X as it has all the good features like TEGRA 3, Quad Core, Good Battery Life, Good Performance as compared to many other phone as I've seen the Benchmark Results
Its a good phone for Entertainment, Gaming, Socialising, Busines & Everything that wherever U go u wont feel like ( O i'm missing this feature or.... hmmm).
Nothing special about this phone.

I agree that theres nothing particularly SPECIAL about this phone but it IS a REALLY nice phone none the less, so i'd definately upgrade (oh wait, i already did! ).

It looks good and feels good in the had but im afraid it breaks easily+if it wasnt for our devs this phone would lag like as if it was htc inspire. Is just annoying ow htc doesnt care at all and the funny thing is the way how they address the issues, instead of admitting their fault and trying to fix things they act like as if they are a alreadg highly established brand that is a leading supplier in the industry and no matter what they do still customers will buy their phone but truth is that customers might buy their phone once but when they see they got screwed because their quad core phone performs like a normal phone and pieces start to fall slowly then they go to samsung which btw is way much more dev friendly

Do we need another of these threads? If everyone was too lazy to search and read, we would have thousands of threads like this.

Define "special" in the context of a phone. It has the best screen out there, the CPU for which all the best games are optimized, the best UI OEMs ever made, build quality is superb, battery lasts for 5 hours when watching movies... I guess you thought it will also do your laundry and now you are disappointed of it not being that "special".
To OP: I came from Desire HD which was referred as the "big brother" of the Z. I am really happy with my purchase. Though having ICS with sense 4 on the DHD, the difference in the screen and the overall experience is amazing. That's all I can tell you.

In 1 word: ABSOLUTELY
In more words: Your issues with non removable battery and no micro SD card are irrelevant, cuase it has excellent battery (will get even better with SW updates) & 32 GB onboard + 25GB Dropbox + SKYDRIVE + GoogleDrive. And the phone has some CLASS. Definitely UPGRADE.
Well thing is 3G in Australia isn't very good and I do believe that storage will be in the cloud in the future. I personally have stopped using the Sense UI since its so bloated.

I would like to know if this phone is hard to permanent root?
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda premium
Easy peasy. You unlock it via HTCDev. But just for the Tegra model. The US version from AT&T is a world of hurt.

Hey guys,
I tried searching but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. For those that couldnt wait and ordered s3 international cases, when you received your sprint version of the phone, did anything change? How do they fit? How about the battery cover? Feedback please...My phone hasn't shown up yet and I'm stressing that I wasted money on these battery covers etc. Sorry if question seems dumb but have nothing else to do since my phone isnt here ha. Thanks

It was a valid question dude. For example the galaxy nexus on Verizon was thicker than its sim card brother. Happens quite often from international sim phones to cdma network phones.

Hey all. Need some input on the issue I'm having with these batteries. Here's the deal. I still have my original battery that came with the phone. Never had a bit of trouble with it. The extended ones, however, never seem to last more than a few weeks. I've already gone through 7-8 of them. All of a sudden they just quit charging. I'll change out with my original and it will still charge. Just the extended ones. Could someone please give me some ideas on how I can troubleshoot or remedy this please!? It is really getting to be annoying and frustrating.
Sorry, forgot the basics. I'm unlocked, rooted, running Sourcery 3.4.2. I've never had the need to overclock/undervolt yet.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

That's really strange. Have you really gone through 7-8? Like through returning them or buying them?
On a more relevant note: I think you should do what we all do when we can't find a solution. Start from square one. Go literally back to stock, and redo the process.
Where did you get the batteries from?
I got the first one when I got the phone. Since then I've been going back to the Verizon stores and they've been exchanging them for me. So they've been legit batteries, not anything aftermarket or off brand.

Sorry, not following about going back and starting over. How will that help? What do I need to do and look for? Thanks.
It's just confusing that it's only on the extended and not the original.

Crap dude, that's crazy. Maybe a bad charger?
Tell me about it. And no not the charger. Wish it was that simple. I have four different chargers and when they quit, nothing charges them. So I switch to the original until I can go exchange them. Mostly an irritation, but I'd really like to just solve the issue and be done with it. That and I won't feel right exchanging batteries every few weeks for a couple of years either, you know?

Wow that sucks. Fortunately I have had no problems with my extended battery.
Definitely sounds like a phone issue. Did you try a new phone?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
No, I'm really trying to avoid trading out the phone. I've read about too many issues that people have had that I don't with mine. That and I don't understand how it could be the phone anyway? Why does the original battery always charge fine and I only have this problem with the extended?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
Its obviously a phone issue or this would be widespread...maybe try an after market battery to see if it persists? Your phone is doing something it shouldn't when the extended battery is in there...most likely, it keeps charging it after its already charged up...that will kill a battery quickly from what I've read and understand...definitely a strange issue though because you say the stock battery is fine...
I would get the phone replaced though...this isn't something software will fix...at least I don't think it can....Samsung replaced my Galaxy Nexus due to burn in on the screen...I'm sure they will for this too.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Thanks, yeah, the reps at my store already offered to replace it. Just bothers me to get a refurb one so soon. Especially when this is really the only issue with this one.
However, that does give me a great idea! When this one shoots craps on me, you think they could put it in another Gnex at the store to see if it will charge it? That way I could know if it's the phone or the battery! You're a genius! Thank you!

Hello all!
I got my GNote2 two days ago everything was fine until i've noticed that my battery level doesn't change for hours and hours. The battery level was 66 when i first look, and after hours in the and it was still 66 and the phone suddenly closed then i realised that battery drained. Does anybody have something like that before? And what is the problem's source? What is solution? What should i do to fix it? I'll add two pic to illuminate you about the exact situation.
Any idea comments?
Something must be defect. Regular unmodified Note 2? Then just send it for service/repair. Or even get it replaced.

Even I changed the stock rom to a custom one there is no difference and I've noticed that too when I pullout my battery and replace it shows the real battery rate but that is all.. Do you think is it battery or phone?

maybe because of your phone system board, better get a replacement phone.
I agree. More probable that it is a bad phone rather than a bad battery.

Guys before jumpong to the conclusion that the phone is bad why not see of some app is causing it
Simply install BetterBatteryStats and check the problem.
Also see if you have your phone rooted?
Have you applied any mod?
If problem still persists and is not solved then simple. Simply flash a newer firmware (ALJ3) from Odin and youre good to go
As i said before i have tried both stock and custom roms and there was no difference. Secondly i have just stock apps and casual normal apps i mean it couldn't be about an app. Actually there's no defect about phone's abilities just battery rate sticks what is was firstly when i replace battery. i wanna try with another battery to figure out is it about the battery or not but i don't have any chance for it.

Try to fully uncharge your phone, after when is dead put on charge. And wait until its full charged. Than reboot to recovery and make a full wipe (if u don't want to just do battery wipe) restart phone. Now check how it works aftery battery calibration.
If it will be same ****, change you phone true warranty. If you can't do that. You need to buy new original battery from samsung.com
Regards.
What would happen if i try my old SGS 1500mah battery on GNote2? I wanna see is it about just battery. Well it is kinda gift from abroad and it seems i have no warranty in my country or i'll have to pay it.

Bad news
I was wondering if some one good in dis assembly her could help with this. The one x + has a 2100mah battery with footprints of the onex but it has a faster processor. But what if there was a way to transplant its battery to the one x.Battery life will be awesome. This is for those who are good in dis assembly and I cant do it myself but this is an idea.Just like changing the razr into a razr maxx by changing the battery and back case. :fingers-crossed:

You want to void your warranty and possibly break/scratch your phone for 16% extra lifetime ? Just turn off 3g/wifi overnight and you will save atleast twice that.
