Ok, someone tell me if this is feasible/possible.
I'm thinking taking SRZ and replacing the lock screen from a sense 2.1 ROM, and swapping them. I like sense 2.1's lock screen better, so that's why I'm thinking about it, but I really like the tweaks available in SRZ.
Thanks to any help.

From what I remember from the Inc1 days, the Sense 3 lockscreen is tied to a bunch of other system apps so you can't just swap them, but you could always try. I would just push the apk from nitsuj's ROM.

Yeah, I was thinking it'd be tied in pretty deep. My second question is what all would I have to change in order for me to have a fully sense 2.1 ROM with SRZ settings?
You would have to change (at least):
Settings.apk
HTCPersonalize.apk
HtcLockscreen.apk
PSCII.apk
Weather.apk
WeatherProvider.apk
Mms.apk
Maybe that's all?

I guess more of what I was asking is just SRZ with 2.1 lockscreen.
Then just Personalize, the Lockscreen, and maybe something else. IDK.
Doors anyone happen to have a lockscreen.apk and personalize.apk handy from either nit's ROM, or andyBONESTOCK?

If you rename the lockscreen.apk to lockscreen.apk.bak and reboot you should have AOSP lockscreen. That's how I did it on my Incredible one.
I'm sure if you email a dev they can make you a flashable.zip to enable screen on/off.
Oh cool, I'll try emailing a dev, also can I rename for the AOSP lockscreen using my phone?

crt off is a heavy mod in services (unlike 1 change in aosp/blur/tw/etc)
i think some of the sense 3 roms have it built in, but if you are running stock those service.jars may not work for you as the sense 3 roms are system ports of other phones

Renaming the HTC lockscreen should default to AOSP.
I wonder why HTC decided to remove the CRT animation. IMO its the coolest thing in GB. Especially with Sense, where the notification bar is the same as Froyo.

So is there no way to add the CRT animation to a rooted sense rom? I have to run gingersense, as the current CM7 builds have too many audio issues. I'm on call a lot and not being able to hear people or use a headset is a crippling problem. I'd love to have that screen animation back, though.
Hey,
Does re-naming that file work? I would love to get the CRT animation for the stock rom.

As you all know, we recently got the RCMix3D ROM from capychimp. The revolution theme is my favorite theme for that ROM, but with the newest tweaks added, the theme replaces the settings.apk thus taking away some of the newer tweaks. Also since the theme is for the DHD originally, it is not compatible with the dinc2's soft keys. If someone could tell me what file I need to modify for the softkeys to work, and if I can do it without downloading software since the only computer I have access to, I don't have administrative rights cuz the security prefs are set so high. Someone please show/tell me how to do this. and sorry, I know I ask a ton of questions here lol. I'm still a newb at Modding my ROMs and stuff.

Yeah. I mean, I've uploaded the theme to my dropbox for a themer I've been testing for, I was gonna see if he wanted to use it and swap some images to make it work real good. But, if at all possible I'd like to keep this theme and have all the tweaks too.

I think it'd be interesting for someone to come up with a ROM possibly cyanogen or liquid based, and replace everything possible with go apps. ie: go launcher, go locker, go weather, go sms, etc.. it would add an interesting theming aspect that I think many would enjoy. Would this be possible??

That makes me think, I wonder if (since I've heard TW is a pita) you could do the same thing with MIUI and sense. So you could still have a lot of the sense aspects but also have the functionality of MIUI similar to your senseless ROM.

This seems like it would be too much of a hassle when you could just as easily install all of the apps the GO Team has to offer and make it look like you have a full GO ROM.
You could always flash MIUI. IMO it's pretty close to the GO with the right theme settings.

It still wouldn't be the same. I'm talking have something fully themeable like MIUI or cyanogenmod but everything is go instead of whatever is stock in the ROM. I guess, yeah you could do it by downloading it all, but it'd be kooler to see more integration.
Oh, btw nitsuj, I messaged andmer about the MIUI/Sense hybrid. I told him I'd be willing to test if he felt like even fooling with it.

Is it possible to completely remove sense UI for a sense Rom to become aosp? I recently used a desensify script on a Rom but sense is still there. I'm guessing rosie is no longer there, I'm using another launcher now. The widgets and lockscreen are gone too. The contacts, messages, camera, and other behind things are still there.

You can remove sense. If you do this, you'll have a 'senseless' ROM. You have to put a launcher on it and you'll need to find alternative widgets, etc.
I used to do this. I liked that I could have whatever launcher I wanted but still have the sense camera and dialer.
Also, the ROM flies even faster once you get little miss Rosie out of the picture...
BTW, the only aosp that I've tried with functioning Skype is miui.
But nowadays I stick to Sense ROMs mostly

are there any good senseless roms out there?
I have been trying to figure out how to move the HTC Rosie from Express X to Nitrous Rom for looks. Unfortunately I seem to be missing something. I am renaming them zip and extracting them. I then take the res folder from Express X and place it in Nitrous. I rezip and then sign using zipsigner. I have tried signing as auto-test,auto,platform and shared. I did get it once to force close. Would someone be nice enough to tell me where my errors are?
Don't know for sure about the rosie, but I think it is in the system/app folder. This is how I used to move apps into my Roms.

Well,I have been doing it a little differently but basically we are getting the same results. Express,at least the version I pulled the Rosie from,is built off Android 4.54. Nitrous is built off Android 4.67. Also there are Roms out there based off 4.67 running Sense 3.0. Not sure how much it matters as long as the things needed to make it run are present. Somewhere I am missing 1 or more of those things. Unfortunately I am not very sure where to look for them.
