This error happens due to editting "framework-res.apk" & "tw-framework.apk". If you really want to edit, all you should edit is the "systemui.apk" only. Though you won't have the transparency. If you want transparency, then do as follows -
1) First download the editted "systemui.apk" only.
2) Then what you have to do is make a backup of this systemui.apk.
3) Now change the extension of this one to .rar.
4) Extract this and make a folder named systemui.
5) And then open - systemui/res/drawable-idpi (or mdpi or hdpi) and find "status_bar_background.png" or anything like background which has "320x240" or "320x(something)" or "240x(something)".
----------The background may be gray.------------
6) Now separately, start a new project in kitchen and do only the transparency part and upload the framework-res.apk.
7) After that download it and do the same as systemui.apk.
8) Find the background. And copy the transparent background to system ui and replace the previous one.
9) Just to make sure, also open the stock framework-res.apk and do the same as you did before (do this also if you do not get the background file in systemui.apk).
10) Now do this for systemui -
After all replacing is done, open the systemui folder and select all the things and archive them using winrar or 7zip. When it asks whether zip or rar, just ignore and in name replace the ".rar" or ".zip" with ".apk". And make sure the name matches the systemui like it was before.
11) For framwork-res.apk -
Do the same.
Finally, "PRESS THANKS FOR MAKING ME WRITE SUCH A BIG NOTE ON MOBILE PHONE!"
P.S. - It will work (Conditions Apply)

By transparency, i mean the background color. For example the previously set one is usually grey. So what i mean is the transparent colored background.
In uot, it says for transparency we need to upload framework-res.apk. So while editting the status bar, do not do the transparency part and instead do as i have instructed.
Sent from my AURORA ULTRA GT-S5360 through XDA Premium Customized by Androhacker Xavier

By background i mean the status bar background.
Sent from my AURORA ULTRA GT-S5360 through XDA Premium Customized by Androhacker Xavier

Means I have to just tick the "Enable transparency in statusbar" (checkbox) in kitchen (nothing else) & replace only the status_bar_background.png in both (edited) systemui & framework

Yes

Everything can be made transparent. Even the toggles. The whole of the status bar, including the top bar and the drop down can be made transparent.

Dude, firstly that guy knows about making themes. He is not having problems in making them. He is talking about some defects in it. Tell us if you can fix those things shown on the first page. Transparency ain't a difficult task and nothing to boast about (no offense).

[Q] Standard Androind UI?

I really like the standard UI (because I'm boring and like plain n simple things)
Any help would be most epic!
I have too only simple wish. I want only green icons, fonts etc and nothing else.
Have you not tried running Darkyy's ROM? This is what I use and I have all green ICONS but it's all black everything else, I like the simpleness of the standard UI. I guess I've got to start wishing XD
Check the theme list in my sig, as far as i know there's nothing thats exactly as you've posted the screenshot - but you might find something you like even more.
Other than that, try cooking a rom in the romkitchen with just the aosp theme.
Just download Gingerbread Launcher from the market (free one) simples.
I'm already using this, what I want is a white theme like the stock UI
Sign me up aswell.. all the themes are packed with custom batteries, wierd icons and changes every day.. standard google would be nice for a change..

this is a random vid I just found on youtube.
shows the animations and effects. But i used none of the theme work shown in the vid.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqW36XEhLtI
Also I cant publish my work as it has stuff from other people in so wouldn't be right.
To start with I am no developer I just learnt bits from owning a HTC DREAM and have used a bit of that knowledge getting my galaxy s more AOSP ( hate the dark gingerbread look)
This is a framework push method as i used ADB but no understanding of how to make an update.zip file.
Okay i have modified this the framework-res file from my deodexed JPY rom.
Known problem with my "theme"
Notification bar text is still white ( date and clock)
I have asked on the vibrant ( as they rock on themes) forum and on the i9000 for someone to change my service.jar file so the text is black but no luck yet.
to push the framework you need to do this.
put the framework-res.apk into your tools folder in the sdk
then in cmd
adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework/
also I have changed the message application to have the AOSP notifcation bubble as it is clearer to see on white background.
to push this you need.
adb push Mms.apk /system/app/
if you find anymore AOSP things or think of things that need to be changed let me know.
But this will only get support that I put onto my phone ( not a proper dev)
if you get annoyed at having a white clock in notification bar like I did you can use this to remove the clock.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=910191
hope you enjoy using it.

Hi iammodo,
I would like to test your white theme, but when I try to make it with adb, there comes an error -> picture.
Can you help me?
Dark colour is AOSP gingerbread Also, pure white uses the most battery to display on Amoled.

[Theme] OceanBlue |Juggernat5.0|DarksideDWF|UPDATED 4/14/12

This theme is a port and a combination of a lot of my own work. The original was posted here http://www.matcl.com/index.php?mid=pxeboard19. It also incorporates a lot of the ICS feel in some aspects.
What’s themed:
~ Framework.res
~ TWFramework.res
~ SystemUI.apk
~ Contacts.apk
~ Phone.apk
~ Settings.apl
~ MMS.apk
~ TouchWiz30Launcher.apk
~ More to come (I love this theme)
NOTE... if you have am pm showing with the clock it won't fit in the blue area, small am pm fits ok. If enough people want ill post a fix.
Also not all fonts will work well.

Since for whatever reason just simply removing the clock makes SystemUI crash, what I did was center the clock and then make the clock black in color so you can't see it. This wouldn't even be necessary if CM wasn't retarded and didn't hide the clock in the pull down when selecting no clock.
I've attached my status_bar.xml so just compare to yours to see what I did and then go to values/styles.xml and change the color of the clock to #ff000000
Got confirmation that it works on Toro
Were do I find that .XML to change the clock color?

You have to decompile the systemui.apk its in res/values/styles.xml. then find the clock color. Or if you want your entire system color that color. Decompile the framework-res.apk and then in values/colors.XML change the holo_blue_light.

Give me a few minutes and I will toss up a SystemUI that doesn't mess with the clock.
I know what I did. I'm doing this on my phone so I just changed the .apk to a .zip and extracted it but the value folder under res isn't showing, I guess I'll have to do it properly on my CPU. Haven't done any theming since the Vibrant really rusty
Thanks again fellas

i don't think you can't remove that stupid new google lockscreen affect, i tried and failed lol
i actually have lockscreen kinda like honeycomb but didn't post it since you need to modify SystemUI layout and you can't do that with theme chooser

[GB]Blur Lockscreen (No moar bugs in statusbar)

Hi again XDA-Developers and modders. As the title say, yes it is blur. Since GB doesnt support ScriptIntrinsicBlur, its getting hard to make it and throungh custom views, it became laggy. There is only one shot for here, FLAGS. I analyze, last time I made a fullscreen lockscreen guide and it made up of flag. Now I brought to you the blur here
Updated: New Steps
I think there is no post like this yet so Ill be making it.
Requirement:
Brain
Apktool
Notepad
Steps:
1. Pull your android.policy.jar (located at system/framework)
2. Decompile your android.policy.jar in apktool
3, After decompiling find this smali inside your android.policy.jar
KeyguardViewManager.smali
4. Find this method under KeyguardViewManager.smali
.method public declared-synchronized show()V
5. Inside the show()V find this, (dont worry it is only one in there)
0x10000800 (if you are not using fullscreen)
0x10000900 (if you followed my earlier guide in fullscreen lockscreen)
0x4 (if you followed my earlier guide)
6. Change it to 0x10000504
7. Save and compile.
8. Flash. Hehe
Troubleshooting:
For those have no effect of blur in lockscreen, check this
1. Decompile your framework-res.apk
2. Go to res/values/bools
3. find these and make it like this
<bool name="config_sf_slowBlur">false</bool>
4. Save
5. Compile

Disclaimer: I am not reliable for the bootloop device. Read and read. It saves you. And also , device having API 14 (JellyBean) cant do this because FLAG_BLUR_BEHIND is depreciated in API 14 and above. If symptom persist consult yar doctor(me). No approve therapeutic claims
