brick galaxy w - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

hello,
I tried to swapper2 to increase ram of the galaxy w but after a reboot, the smartphone will not turn over.
connecting it via usb driver tells me qhsusb_dload not found.
how can I fix this?
Thank you.
sorry for my english.

I'm afraid that sounds like a hard brick. The qhsusb_dload thing is exactly what I had on my hard bricks. It means that the primary bootloader has been wiped. Nothing you can do about it except sending it in for service.

Guys, I saw Riff jtag mentioned by contributor alidsd here
This was the link given:
http://www.jtagbox.com/jtag-news/sa...samsung-ancora-unbrick-boot-repair-supported/

I think it corrupted the bootloader. In assistance could realize that the root has been done and that the kernel has changed?

i´ve also by mistake mess with the bootloader partition, it went to service and they replace motherboard. if you can´t turn the device on, they won´t notice because they will flash everything new. but i tink they will replace motherboard because the service provided by samsung in several countries is donne by companies that cooperate with samsung, it´s not samsung itself and they are the ones that have that kind of equipment. in my opinion take to warranty

[Q] A few questions related to Hard Brick and QHSUSB_DLOAD

I am now owner of what may very well be a Hard Bricked Samsung Galaxy S3 with the inability to reach Download Mode and computer not recognizing my handheld. It ll happen't as I unlocked my bootloader to go in fastboot mode, it was then, all over. But of course as desperate as it may look like I've done some researches on Google and some people with different models managed to have some magic done in a situation like mine, but since I didn't own the same device the solutions were of no avail for me. So my question is, is there any sort of trickery to help me come out of this misery? Such as force installing new QHSUSB_DLOAD specifically for a Samsung Galaxy S3 or some battery related magic that could help me reach Download Mode where I could flash a stock rom back in and get back to normal? Any help would be much appreciated.
this just happened to me as well today, not to happy, my heart sank in, did u find any solutions as far as fixing this qhusb thing?
AFAIK there is no fix, same deal on all phones with the same SoC, like the one x. I could be way wrong though and I hope I am. Hope you guys get up and running soon.

Most likely they will say that you voided your warranty so you may have to take it in to a JTAG service.

Any update on this? My phone did this to me last night when updating CWM. I'm about to go to Radio Shack to buy some resisters to see if I can force download mode, like on Captivates.
EDIT: Even though this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrZUrE5Nqj0) shows that the Jig works with the GS3, I was not successful in putting it into download mode. I was able to with my captivate, just to make sure I was on the correct pins.
Hopefully the AT&T store will just swap it out and leave it at that, since I pay for insurance...I don't want to have to send it away to mobiletechvideos.com for JTAG repair, but will if necessary.

You can look all you want for a solution, there is NOT one for this problem, other than find a jtag service. Period!

Regardless of where the phone came from the end result is still the same... you guys are hard bricked. The only available solutions to you atm (and trust me on this I hard bricked mine aswell) is
A - Send your phone in for warrenty/insurance, dont worry about everyone saying you cant because of voided warrenty... your bootloader is screwed and they wouldnt be able to tell anything about rooting/cwm etc.
B - if warrenty/insurance is unavailable to you then your only other options are to send it to samsung to get it repaired on your own dime. Or save yourself a bit of money and send it for jtag repair which is what I did. If you live in the states the guy can have your phone back in your hands usually within 4-5 business days.
hi there
i have an SDcard of 4GB i tried on 4 S3 i747M hard bricked phones its worked ....this card let them alive to download mode by pressing volume down key +home key + power. i want to share this image but when ever i connect this card to my PC (windows) its shows (need to format your card)
is there any software so i can make image and share...to help those who hard-bricked their phones.

I reject your reality, and substitute my own! Ah, anyway.. any updates on this? Its been a year or so.. I have the sprint s3, but i believe it had an insecure boot image flashed to it. The emmc boot method has failed me thus far. Not sure if it's because mine is a 32gb and the debrick files for for 16gb '(which shouldn't matter), if the board for my 32gb is affected by a brick bug, or what.. The qpst tool just seems like it's the perfect tool to fix a bad bootloader on any qualcomm phone, but all the guides I've found are for other phones still. I accidentally dd'd an image of my EFS partition to the sbl2 partition. I looked up the international s3 table by mistake

Yes. Download a live linux distro, like knopix or such. Any linux distribution will work, really. Then in a terminal you would do something like
Code:
sudo dd if=/dev/sdX of=debrick-image.img
Where the "X" in "sdX" corresponds to the sdcard you want to copy. After you insert the card, in a terminal do:
Code:
dmesg | tail
and you should be able to see that it is sdb, sdc, sdd, etc. Google the usage of "dd" if you need more info.
Thanks for info i'll try this today

Hardbricked Galaxy W

I know that my current question will be so funny. But is there any chances to revive a hardbricked Galaxy W? I saw some post said that they can revive their bricked phone, but without any detailed information
Unless you can the device is under any of the status below:
1. Still can be on, and bootable to either CWM or Download mode. (flash in stock rom using odin)
2. Power port failure, unable to charge battery at all phone cannot be on due to battery being empty completely. (send to ssc if warranty still present or use external charger like multi pin supporters).
3. Battery issue, battery is dead. (get a new battery).
Or else, if warranty is present, send to ssc, in all odds they should not detect a rooted phone because all available interfaces are hidden.
Or else, send to local phone repair shop or ssc if they provide phone repairs and see if the price to repair it is worth it and try fixing it.
(in my country, likely the price is insane )
Lastly, to the trash it goes.
Click thanks if suggestion or solution is found useful
Ssc if you still have warranty

Help to repair the phone stucked on Qload state

I wrote this request in another thread and I think hasn't been read by many people, so I opened a specific thread.
Our phone may remain stucked for several reasons in a QLOAD 9008 device state, or similar device (easily verifiable even with Windows). It's better to test a solution very simple and useful for all.
To do this is required to extract some files residing in an area of the phone's memory and only a working phone can be used to extract a dump of this files following how explained in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2136738
Don't think an hardbrick can't happens to you, it may happens and without a tested solution your phone may become a paperweight. Alas my phone is bricked (!), I cannot extract any file from it, I can only try to repair the phone but I need this files to test this method. I invite anyone who has care of his phone to read the topic linked above and try to extract the files needed to repair the phone locked in QDLOAD mode (05c6:9008), we have only this way to unbrick the hardbricked phone for free (if the phone warranty is expired or invalid).
I thank anyone (uhm... mr. Arco68?...) who gives a hand to solve the "Qload 9008 mode" brick problem with this method!
I hope that someone will help you.
I've read the thread, and I'm willing to help... but what exactly I have to do?
Honestly, I can't make any sense of the thread...

Today, or as soon as possible, I'll try to make backups of the bootloader, partition table and a .pit from an i9100. If I cannot do that, as soon as possible I will try with a i9001 that has hardware very similar to the i8150. I hope I can do it, so I will explain here how to do it step by step to allow other users do the same more easily. Stay tuned!

Plz help me unbrick my hard bricked phone
I wouldn't recommend it. Please go to a gsm service.they will fix it.If you are not a tech wizzard, then don't try to recover a hard brick phone home.there are alot of command lines to be written and the most slightest mistake will result in a permanent brick, beyond repair. You have 2 choices : send the phone to warranty, tell them it died.Go to a service and pay about 20 bucks to repair it.

No other way really ?:crying:
I am also facing cookie not received error on QPST. But my phone is Cherry Flare, qualcomm msm8225 based.
I had updated my phone to Jelly Bean (used it for 3 days) which died while it was charging. I tried to flash bootloader through QPST, but got the cookie error. I assume the QPST can solve the flash problem if something went wrong while updating firmware. In my case I was not updating the firmware, it suddenly died. After reading so many forums, I could not find any solution and am thinking that the phone is beyond repair by myself.
Now my question:
1. Can service center repair the phone through JTAG? I believe JTAG can directly access eMMC flash which QPST could not.
2. If not, can eMMC be replaced? Or the entire main board needs to be changed?
If the emmc is intact, jtag can fix it.
If the emmc buffer is corrupted or full with bad attempts to recover, the only way is to change the mainboard.
Happend to a friend with a galaxy note.he tried so many times to fix it with odin home until it was too late for jtag.it could't acces the emmc.
Anyway,if the phone is hard bricked,it can't be traced.so send it to warranty.

Recover on from bootloop on H815 EU

Hi guys,
Yesterday I got sweaty hand palms.
My EU 815 G4 is unlocked, the official way, and I had rooted it.
Then I tried to install xposed from twrp and I did something wrong, and ended up in bootloop...
I have just updated to v20b before, and forgot to connect the phone to the PC, and allow the PC debug access before installing xposed, so i could see the phone in ADB mode, but couldn't access it.
Of course I hadn't made a backup before this - I like to cry
Just as a desperate try, when everything else had failed, i thought about using the new tool provided by shakeyabooti LG UP to flash the factory KDZ all over
I put the phone in SW. update mode by:
1. Turning off the phone
2. connecting USB cable to the PC
3. Press and hold vol. up while connecting the USB cable to the phone
Then i downloaded the v20b KDZ file, provided by Autoprime (since this was what i where allready running)
Opened LG UP, loaded the H81520B_00.kdz, marked REFURBISH
Lastly i pressed "Start" and waited for about 15-20 minutes and "TADAAAA"
The phone where up and running again... only things lost where root and TWRP
- Sharing since I'm properly not the only one ending up in this kind of mess
Just tried it no luck :/
So just to confirm...unlocking bootloader official way does void warranty and we can not send it in for repairs?

Indeed. Maybe you'll find a cool employee at your vendor who will still do it, but your warranty is definately void and they don't need to do anything. Depends on how acommodating the employee is. If you're stuck in a bootloop @rakinisbat just follow the steps in this thread.
And please keep in mind that there's a way to get out of bootloops 99% of the time (in fact 100% if it's a software related problem), you just have to do a good search on xda. Furthermore there's an uninstaller app for xposed in the official rovo89 thread, which you can flash via recovery and it which undos the xposed installation and your phone will boot fine (if you can access TWRP - just flash it). If you have further questions you can PM me, always happy to help

Thanks Mate, I guess ill have to try my luck with LG,
I have that batch of H815 with the faulty motherboard, unfortunately I'm in that 1% *Sigh* :crying:
Tried literally everything i could with the software, pretty much confirmed it is the motherboard.
It looks like the KDZ is flashing properly, as LGUP shows whichever kdz i put on, but the actual hardware is not capable of booting into the OS.

Nope, my bootloader is unlocked, im a flash-a-holic, longest i have lasted without rooting or unlocking a bootloader is about 2 weeks. I would have never imagined such a massive hardware issue with a flagship phone. I'll probably get a nexus 6P atleast it has better support than a LG. I'm in Australia, I imported this phone when it was released, so i have to send this phone overseas if i want it repaired, which they will most likely deny.
Sooooo over LG now! There are like hundreds if not thousands that are effected they are not even acknowledging it or providing a viable solution.
