Verizon Preorders...?

So I called the 1800# and the lady confirmed December 9th, before all the news broke this afternoon. She then said I am eligible for a early upgrade but I can ONLY order it online, NOT in stores. I thought this was weird so I called 2 different stores and they wouldn't confirm the date, but said WHEN it's released I can buy it in stores, and the woman on the 1800# was talking about pre-orders.
So, hopefully she was implying they will be taking pre-orders...

It's the launch day, so I'd expect them to.
The Seattle store confirmed they had a large shipment today. Said if I was there at 8am I was pretty much guaranteed one.
YMMV, but unless it's a non-corporate store, I'd be shocked if they didn't get a shipment between now and Thursday...

I have no clue. I'm a guy on the internet who's under and AT&T contract.
Why are you asking me all these questions as if I'm a VZW employee?

GN VZW is on for tomorrow(the 9th) @ Best Buy Mobile

EDIT I went in today to pick it up. The salesman went and grabbed it for me. He was in the process of ringing me up for it when the manager noticed what he was doing and stopped him. The manager apologized to me and said they received numerous calls yesterday about it and decided to check in to it and found that they have to hold off on selling it for now.
So basically if I hadn't said anything here yesterday & didn't post my store's info I could have had a GN today.

I got a call from my local Best Buy Mobile just now telling me that they have the phone in stock now and are selling it tomorrow. They said they have one set a side for me.

Well I hope you get it! I have to wait til the end of Jan for my upgrade

I just called like 5 best buys in my state, one said to call back in the morning on the other 4 said they have it but no release date

haha i just called your store and they said that they have it but won't be selling it tomorrow!

Just got off the phone 30 min ago with Verizon. Rep told me that she just heard tonight that it was going to be out tomorrow!

Im in Colorado Springs they have 5 at both stores and will be selling them tomorrow.

They said they are trying to figure out whats going on and to call back later. I am on the phone with verizon and the lady said it will be out tomorrow! I am so exited for it to finally be released!

I really think they need to tell all the Reps the same thing, because it does not help the rumors if they are telling us all different days. I guess all we can do is wait ill tomorrow and see if they end up releasing it. Keep your fingers crossed!

I just facebook messaged a friend of mine who works for Best Buy mobile and this is what he told me:
"We don't have it but Verizon has it I heard"
I am pretty sure no one in that store knows anything about cell phones since I quit last month. If this indeed does end up coming out at Best Buy tomorrow I know what I will be doing on my lunch break!

I went to Costco in Fountain Valley, CA today and they said they have them in but cannot sell them yet. They won't know until tomorrow and he'll give me a call.

Note II in short supply here

Went real early to my AT&T store here in St.Louis...and was told their shipment was still inbound...and most of all the other AT&T stores around here have none or only 1 or 2 to sell today...
Man...what a lousy way to do things for a launch day on a product...Someone screwed up big time...

seems like every store here has 20 (im in miami). I kinda regretted preordering

I wish I had pre-ordered, but I didn't think I was going to want it initially until I played with it at a local store. I have called over 30 stores in the NYC area (time to kill today). None of the manhattan stores have any. I have found a few in Brooklyn with white. Not titanium to be found.
I'll either wait till Best Buy has it or I'll wait till the next shipment.

I stopped by a Rogers store in Calgary yesterday and they told me that Rogers has only received 20 for the whole city so far! That is for a city with a population of 1.1M??? Very sad Samsung. You will never beat Apple this way!!

I don't know if this is Samsung's fault completely. It seems like Sprint here in America has them in stock all over the place, but I can't find them at AT&T. Perhaps Rogers and AT&T didn't order enough?

This is likely the case. Samsung hasn't listed any shortages of the note 2 and many Asian carriers got this phone by the droves. Sprint stores have a crap ton around Atlanta GA, but ATT stores have around 20ish (checked 2 stores) so it seems to be carrier orders that were low and not Samsung shipments.
Curiously ATT has had more growth in Online purchases than Sprint, so they may be trying to find a good balance between not over/under ordering at physical stores and relying on online purchases for the bulk of their shipments. I ordered mine from ATT online. Just thinking out loud.

I went to the Fenton store on Friday. They had 4.
With 6 people in queue in front of me, I asked the girl who checked me in if anyone else was there for the Note 2. She said no and agreed to grab one for me and check me out since I was buying it off contract.
I told her that there was another guy waiting on one (who I had met while wandering the store waiting). Hopefully he got his too!

Nassau New York, none of the AT&T stores have any yet...everyone I called kept telling me to call back in a few hours to see if the they got the shipment in. I got mine at a small non-corporate store on Friday, so if anyone around here is looking check out those little guys.

My salesman checked all of the St.Louis stores including Fenton since it's only a couple miles from Sunset Hills...they were out too...Have to wait and see if they are coming in on the truck today..My salesman will hold 1 for me along with what ever cases they have if they come in too..:fingers-crossed:

At&t in Secaucus Nj had both colors today. I'm in the best buy in woodbridge now waiting to trade in my old note for the note 2 here. Its the only one in the area that has titanium in stock today. Many stores are expecting shipment today or tomorrow though.

What about cases? They basically had only the flip cover last week.

Cleveland AT&T store had a bunch of them - I got the first one, straight out of the shipping box. I was the only one getting one that morning. It's strange how good AT&T is around here in terms of speed and everything, given what a medium market we are - must be the holdover corporate presence they've had here for years.

Where did you go in St. Louis? I went to the store attached to the "device support center" on Olive and got my grey model on launch day. As far as I know they had plenty in stock; the reps were still pushing Galaxy S IIs.

I purchased mine from AT&T Roosevelt Field Mall. When I got there and asked, they said they only had 2 left and this was at 1pm. Before I finished my purchase, I heard another customer come in and ask for the other one.

The corporate store on Lindbergh in Crestwood...and they still didn't have any today as well...no shipment scheduled for today
They have checked the other stores stock via computer for me...and this is getting a little frustrating. How can you have a launch without enough stock to sell to the customers..I know I'll wind up getting one sooner or later...and as my good wife always tells me..." everything for a reason " but damn....this really aggravates me

[Q] AT&T Availability in DFW?

I've called all the AT&T stores within 30 miles, both corp and resellers. Nobody admits to having any. Has anyone else found one locally here?

The Watauga store says they have them but can't sell until Friday. The other stores won't answer the phone.

Headed there now. First call got a no, second got a yes.

please report back if you were successful in acquiring one. I preordered back on 9/25 but my order still says preparing to ship. Not feeling good about my prospects of having it this week if I wait on the preorder to arrive. Considering cancelling the order and trying to pick one up at a store. I'm in the Rockwall area, don't want to drive all the way out there if they aren't actually selling them.

I would like to know as well.. I work in farmers branch and called a few stores around here and I live in Bedford, called a few stores around there as well. All of them stated that they currently have them in stock, however they cannot sell until Friday.

same here. i've check the Mesquite, Rockwall, and North Garland stores.

Just got back from Addison. They have at least one White left. I did not ask for a total quantity, just if they had one and he brought out a gray and white, I took the gray.

Ok, but will they sell them? I called every AT&T store in and around Fort Worth. I SWEAR those two stores said they did not have them or they said they did but wouldn't sell. That's why I went to Addison yesterday.

Yes, my wife was at the Fort Worth store on Hulen, not sure the specific address or store but they would sell her the white one yesterday and said they would get black in today. I ended up going to the one by North East mall and was able to get a black(grey?) one last night.

Bah. Oh well. I got mine anyway after a little more of a drive than you.
Also, the salesman Ethan at Addison rocks. He took ownership of the old billing problem I had because departments won't talk to each other so he's heading it up as an AT&T employee.

I hear Verizon will start selling it again on the 21st but I read elsewhere that people who haven't owned a note 7 yet will have to wait until October 21st..

you're simply wrong, many corporate stores got them via fedex today including one near me. i'm going to buy one after work. another xda user in another thread said he picked one up during his lunch break and he's in twin peaks minnesota. I'm in northern va.:good:

Yeah. Verizon said I could order it right now. I'm worried to bcuz of everything I read about scratches and a gap between the screen and the metal... Also heard a lot about lag. Idk what to do.

I'm in South GA. I just walked in to my local Verizon store and bought a note 7. No questions asked. Just showed me all 3 colors and sold me one. They said they only had about 10 units. Not sure if I believe that. This was a corporate Verizon store...not a digital express....

Anyone know where I could but a screen protector that works and a case? No best buy in this town. I want a case and a protector immediately so it doesn't get any scratches.

I had VZW upgrade one of my other lines. New Note 7 shipped already, will be here in the morning.

Called in earlier today and had 2 new Note7's shipped to my house FedEx 2 day and I can just drop off my 2 OG Note7's once I'm done transferring everything over. They'll be here Thursday! I should have fought for overnight lol! Dammit!

My note gets here tmrw. I'm excited but also nervous that I won't like it.

In Wichita, the corporate stores got shipments 9/20 and 9/21, at least. Total of 25 units at the west location, as of when I swapped mine around noon 9/21. They were not making them available for new customers, only replacements. There were 3 of us getting replacements while I was there.
I've not noticed any differences between the new unit and my old one IRT battery life or build quality. It seems they've done more in the Tuesday push update than checking for the new units and displaying the green battery. I can't get into. SystemUI anymore...long press on the gear icon from quick settings just doesn't work. So for now, no dark UI. The white menus are jarring at night!
