How to mess/lag up my Arc S - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Well i dont want to give my phoe to my elder brother he wants my Arc S and wants to dump the Neo V back on to me :/
I want to make the Arc S really lag so that he thinks he is better of with the Neo V
I dont want to part with it
Im running CM7 on the phone now
So any ways and means to
1)Make apps FC
2)Mess up the camera colour
3)Make the phone randomly reboot/shutdown
4)Mess witht he screen
Thanks for all your help
Will changing app permission cause them to FC ?
EDIT: And no this is no fraud
Im from India and all phones here are box unlocked

Deleting /system/app folder will cause multiple FC's rebooting after that will cause a boot loop

Xperia arc keeps having the Sleep Of Death

My dad bought a xperia arc from newegg and every time he tries to use google maps it force closes and gets the sleep of death and also when he put it on the charger for a long period of time. We sent it back to newegg for another and the new one has the same problem as the last. The phones came with 2.3.3 so I updated to the latest 2.3.4 stock rom and still have the same problem as before. I have no clue what the problem is but was worndering if anyone else hase had this problem and knows a fix for it. I would like to stick with stock for awhile before going custom

Weird one.. I'm not having any such problems.. Does he have any auto task killers on there, wreaking havoc?!

I think your dad' Arc need to flash firmware with flashtool and wipe all old data.
You should look at this address:

Maybe it can help you.
No auto task killers on it the rom was fresh from the manufacturer and had the problem right off the bat with both phones and with the 2.3.4 freshly flashed

Well it seems that the memory card that came with his phone was locking his phone up. I put the memory card in mine and it did the exact same thing. Took it out and got a new one and everything works fine

No power off options

I don't know what the hell I've done but when I hold my power button now to get up my reboot options they do not appear anymore. The phone just screens off then loads back up from the Sony Ericsson boot screen but only takes a few seconds to load

I am using a theme. I've been swapping between themes for a while and all was fine until now. I did delete some stuff using titanuim backup but the problem happened before that anyway.
Really dont want to reflash. I have my play as i like it lol
I think I would prefer it like that Lol.

Factory reset after a couple of mods?

Okay so since I got my Nexus 7, my arc s seems insanely slow (this is conspirancy, I'm telling you), its freezing a lot to the point where it's as slow as my previous Galaxy Spica.
Now, I'm running rooted stock, with Xperia S keyboard and lockscreen and modified systemui, im curious what will happen if I press factory reset inside settings? Or am I better off flashing ftf with Flashtool?
Any other reason why it would all of a sudden start acting like a snail?
Thanks!

[Q] xperia arc s wake up issue

Frndz my xperia arc s wont wake up from the sleep once it is left suspended for 1 min. I have cleaned the main board, heated up, checked all belts ... every thing works perfectly when screen is on .. video is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7Lcy1_m5Lc thanks awaiting your opinions.
I think is a hardware issue... Check your service center for assistance, i mean like it's first time i see such issue, and doesn't seem like a software related issue

xperia s laggy

hi, my phone is lockedbootloader and no matter what rom im using, i experienced laggy, for example while listen to music and browsing internet (have tried stock browser n chrome) the music start to have laggy (not playing properly, very slow) and screen isnt responsive...
anyone experienced the same?

It's a ICS issue.
If you wait for the official JB release from Sony, you'll see all the lags will be gone

so its ics? i hope so because last sony device i have is hardware problem... i ll wait for jb then...

It shouldn't be a hardware problem. I had too many issues with ics too, so i think it's ics.

If i may suggest, if you dont want to wait for official JB flash the XZXperience rom ist pretty stable and really fast. Then just flash official jb when its out
