I think you can send it to fix it under warranty if you didn't do anything that voids warranty..

phone doesn't boot???

I have an htc droid incredible in which I tried to flash another radio. I'm usually very careful to do a nandroid back up but failed to do it this one time. I can go into clockwork recovery but I need to be able to restore. I can transfer files onto the sd card but don't know what I need to put on it in order to restore my phone to be able to use it again. I had Miui 12.11.1 by nix instastalled on it. What can I do? It's not bricked afaik cause I can still go into recovery. Can someone please help?
I transfered another rom to flash from recovery and hoping this will go w/o a hitch(fingers crossed) will post back with results.
Stuck on htc incredible screen

no go. I even tried to do a factory reset. I must have somehow erased my internal phone storage. I'm at a loss right now. My phone is/was rooted with s-off so that voids the warranty. I can't send it back or ask for another. Don't know what to do. May have a $200 paper weight.
Well, they are free on contract now...

what do i tell them?
Uhhh, it broke? I have no idea. Sorry

as if things couldn't get worse, ironically I have no insurance on the phone. Looks like I'm going to be with out a phone for a while.
Ugh. Can you get into recovery?

yeah I can get into recovery.
Ok well try to find the stock 2.1 ROM that originally shipped with the phone and flash that

[Q] Bricked my phone. I need help!

I got a new white T-Mobile GS3 last night, to replace a blue one i had that was having bluetooth problems. Once I rooted the new one I restored a nandroid I had made before returning the first one. For several hours the phone worked just fine, until it froze up, leaving my only choice to pull the battery. When I started it up again, it just looped from the Samsung logo to the Galaxy S III logo. I tried to restore the nandroid again, but it said something about incorrect MD5 sums. When that didn't work I tried flashing back to stock through ODIN. It says everything passes, but when it reboots it just continues to loop through the two screens.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
I would recommend you flash the stock boot and recovery > re-root. Though as a general I wouldn't flash a backup, even if from a similar device, ans things of your nature can happen.
I tried to flash the stock boot and recovery through ODIN, but it still wouldn't boot up. Is there a better way I can flash stock?
Did you try clearing all data and formatting system from recovery?

You shouldnt of recovered your old nandroid on a different device, maybe the data partition but not the full nandroid.
Was this theStock Odin tar you flashed?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737855
Yes, that was the file I flashed
Any other suggestions? I'm really screwed. I can't even use my old phone because of this micro sim card.
Have you tried reflashing the stock Odin tar again?

Yeah. I've reflashed (as well as downloaded fresh copies), several times. Same results.

Caught in boot loop after restoring nandroid backup

I recently switched from a Samsung phone to the HTC One V, rooted it, and installed a CM 10.1 rom. I created a nandroid backup in TWRP of my stock rom but after I tried restoring that backup the phone boots up past the Virgin Mobile logo but stays on the white HTC screen and never goes past that. It just freezes there. My only solution is flashing back to stock which I've tried but when I try flashing a Rom again I still can't restore my backup when something goes wrong. I've tried numerous times but I get the same result every time. This is my first HTC phone so I must know, did I do something wrong? Is there a different process on HTC phones when restoring nandroid backups? Someone please help me out.

Process is right.... But u have to flash the kernel in fastboot again....
Thank you but I've already tried flashing the stock boot.img file via fastboot after restoring my backup but I still get the same result when trying to boot up the phone. Is there anything else I can possibly do to fix this issue?

[Q] Factory Reset when rooted?

I apologize if this is covered elsewhere, I did not come across the question or answer in my search.
I have a Rogers Note II (GT-N7105/SGH-I317M).
It is running stock touch whiz 4.1.2. I had been running custom roms, but after their various issues, I am going with stock samsung at the moment.
I have TWRP installed as the custom recovery, and I used it to restore my backup I took right after rooting.
Not having any issues, but I am simply wanting to know if I can go into Settings >> Backup and Reset and the perform a factory reset of the phone to erase all apps and data.
I am not trying to unroot the phone or anything like that. This phone is a work phone and I am going to be turning it in for the Note 3 next week. I would like to erase my content before doing so, again, not trying to unroot it (I have the tools such as Triangle away, stock firmware and Odin) just want to do a wipe and reset it for the next person who may use it.
So again, the question. If I factory reset via settings will there be any issues or will it simply go back to a rooted blank rom with no apps data?
Or will I end up with a mess?
Thanks for the help!
Factory reset will only wipe your personal data that you entered nothing will affect system or any modifications on it you will see no mess just a clean phone

So I essentially will have a rooted phone with a romantic that is set back to stock? Which is exactly what I am trying to achieve.
The fact that I have twrp installed makes no difference?
Exactly it will not affect system you will have clean stock rooted with twrp installed

I did this many times before with rooted and romed htc devices running things like cm and insert coin + sense but I wasnt sure how pick an already picky Samsung rom would be when rooted.
Cheers

[Q] Selling Note 2, keep root and rom, delete data

Hello,
I am selling my Note2 for financial reasons (getting another tho!). The seller wants to keep the root and rom I have on it now (Synergyrom). I have never done this before, just returned to stock...what do I do? How do I properly do this to delete my data and make it fresh WITH the existing root and ROM??
I should also mention, she doesnt care about the KNOX warranty thing...its out of warranty anyway.
THX!
Boot into recovery perform factory reset and format /data/media (internal sdcard). Reboot and it will be completely clean and ready to sell. If you are selling sdcard with it also format it.
