Someone please guide me........please
Instead of bumping your thread have you tried looking at the thread of the chef released rom for your phone as you might realise that others have same issue with the rom or not. I did a quick search of forums and i managed to find the answers within seconds.
We cant support your rom as we dont know what you are using / version and questions regarding that rom need to be posted in the correct forum thread

Sorry M8...But i am really confused with several ROM's and Methods listed here...
I will follow your instructions in future....Sorry Again....
Different roms work differently and you really need to try one, then ask about it in the chefs rom thread and if you dont like try another. Swapping roms and trying to use the same instructions on each may not work so you are only confusing yourself.

Thanks Again.....
A2SD is indeed moving apps to the external memory. A lot of custom roms have it. It requires an EXT partition on your memorycard, an easy way to do that is to get rom manager from market
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Thread moved to Q&A.
judging by your post, you have already rooted your phone
here's an example how to do it with Official Froyo HTC Sense ROM v1.0c, which has built in old A2SD. I think it should work
- backup apps and system data with Titanium Backup Donate
- copy sd card content to pc in disk drive mode (by doing this, you will also copy your backups)
- download rom, radio and put them in root folder of your sd card
- you need to have some sort of recovery (whether it's update.zip in root, or permanent recovery - it's your choice)
- say a little prayer
- enter hboot -> recovery
- wipe all alvailable options (it depends on your current settings): data, cache, davlik cache, ext
- flash radio, it will ask for you to reboot from recovery, do it, it will restart few times, don't interrupt process of instalation.
- flash rom
-after you finish it, don't reboot, instead partition sd card using standard options: swap 0, ext2 512, fat32 rest, sd: ext2 to ext3 (this will format and partition your sd card, you will loose it's content
- reboot your phone, it will last longer than usual
- copy your sd card content from pc back to sd
- install titanium backup donate and restore system data and apps, it should force apps you previously had installed to sd
- reboot phone to finish restore
- install quick system info and check if your A2SD storage is partialy filled with data
-you should have your current apps and settings with A2SD enabled
Finally did it today with ROM manager huh......
Thanking all for support...

[Q] Losing sms pics

well i have observed that after u do fix permissions on cwm recovery i always loose contacts pics in messages...same happened in latest RCMix HD v5.9.7..... any one can plz help how to get rid of this problem
I have the same problem, also using RcMixHD 5.9.7.
In the contacts the pictures are shown, but not in sms section.
Same problem here. No photo in sms section. ROM is RCMixHD 5.9.7.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Did you have RcMixHD 5.9.6 on the phone?
I can imagine that there was a time I had thos pictures.
I had the same .. but there is a "pretty" easy fix ..
Has to do with file permissions .. Follow the instructions in the link below .. worked for me
http://androidforums.com/incredible...ndcent-wont-display-pictures.html#post2136845
*edit .. btw step 7 (mount /datadata) didn't work for me. but If you just substitute /datadata in step 9 with /data/data it will work.. (guess it's some kind of symlink)
Ofcourse in this case you can drop step 14 (you can't umount something that isn't mounted )
Is there a simple solution for this...? ;-)
That is the simple sollution ...
don't worry just follow the instructions on screen (perhaps my /datadata workaround if it doesn't work for you)
No real brick can come from this .. ur just messing with contact pic permissions.

Sorry for else
Normally i'm syncing with "myphonebook" from T-mobile, but they had/have a problem with their service.

I don't know hte issue of your provider but android is Google built in and it is too easy sinc your contacts with it that it's impossible to don't do!!! didn't it?
Yes, it is pretty easy, I just had he issue that all my contact-pictures got a really low resolution.
I did the guide from androidforums now with root explorer. Can someone please tell me the rights (read/write/execute) from the folder: data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/files
What permission does the file folder has?
I accidently changed the permissions from the folder, not from the .jpg files IN the folder.
That would be great.
Edit:
Ok, in root explorer I can't set permissions for more than one file, so I had to try the guide from androidforums:
"This is what I did to fix it:
Boot into clockworkmod recovery
Go into the mount/umount section
mount /system
mount /data
Connect usb data cable to computer from phone (I use linux so I don't need anything special in the way of drivers)
adb shell
mount /datadata
The above step may take a few seconds to mount
cd /datadata/com.android.providers.contacts
chmod og+rx *
cd files
chmod 664 *.jpg
cd /
umount /datadata
umount /data
exit
Reboot your phone
"
I have no problem till the point: "mount /datadata"
There I get the message there is no datadata in etc/...
Could someone help me? I took the adb shell from the previous downgrade from 1.72. Or does it have to be a specific adb shell?
Sorry for those questions, I hope someone can help me.
read my post before ... you can skip that step and just go to the dir it refers to wich is ... /data/data, don't mount /datadata just skip the step and go to /data/data when the post says /datadata ...
Also in this case you can skip the the step umount /datadata (we didn't mounted the link so no use in umounting it)
Sorry for the late reply.
It worked! I just left the mounting out and used /data/data instead of /datadata.
Was this a typo? Because there is no folder called datadata.
Thanks for your help!
Good to hear you worked it out ... well ... not likely it is a typo .. since you don't have to mount /data/data ... Perhaps this guy is running some weird rom ..
Who knows

How can't you install apps, can you describe your problem?
I've uploaded the second newest recovery, 5.0.2.0 (the newest is 5.0.2.7 I think). Put the file into the root of the SD card (ie in no folders or directories, just one of the first things you see on the SD if you scroll down without entering a folder).
Like the OP of Rempuzlle says:
'can t you install apps?reboots?
go to recovery, make a backup of your sdcard on your pc,go to advanced and press Partition sdcard.Choose a size and swap 0.Wipe the phone and install the rom.End'
It downloads, then by the instal the phone freezes and reboots, same problem with root explorer.
Sorry for my bad English...
EDIT
thanks for posting the new cwm.
Problem solved with the new cwm.
Thank you.

and when i try es explorer its the same empty folder

i wiped and format it and flash rom many times its not working
Everybody here want to be helped quickly, but it's not a paid helpdesk so answers might come sooner.....or later.
Now to the point :
Is this happening when you use a different rom ? Try one and find out.
Did you perform a full wipe flash ? Did you check the MD5 hash on the downloaded file so you know it's not corrupted ?
