Agenda/calendar widget dont work... - HTC One X

Hi!
Im having a problem with the agenda/calendar widget. When I place it on my homescreen, it loads and then freezes. Then the homescreen reloads. When I swipe to the screen with the widget, it starts to load again, then it freezes, and homescreen loads inn again.
Anyone having similar problems?
Ps: Same thing happends with the google calendar widget.
Cheers!

I have got the same problem... very annoying
A lot of bugs in Sense 4.0. I think it is now not fully compatible with ICS.

Did you do a search before starting another new thread on something I'm pretty sure has been mentioned before?
Did you deselect Facebook calendar from widget?

Thanks! Deselecting FB fixed the problem. Wierd part is that it has worked fine until now.
I did search, but apperently not enough. Sorry!

Is there an app that makes my led turn into a flash light for non sense roms? We used to have this in 2.1 with beam widget but the only thing I can find now are apps that you have to open first then click on. I want something u can turn on with one click from the homescreen thanks!

You can try LED Desire Light. It includes a widget that can turn the LED on and off with one click.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Yeah but that would be two clicks..one for opening the app and one for turning it on.
Why isn't there something like the torch widget for the N1 before?
Search for LED Light in the market. It has a widget

Thanks!
Best One I found is Tesla LED with a nice widget as well.
Search for TeslaLED in the market. It's pretty shiny and it has cool looking widget.

HTC Clock

I have had this issue before but cannot remember how I fixed it. I also have searched the forums and cannot find the post that said how to fix it. My HTC Clock does not show the weather like it should. When I tap it, it load the desk clock. Any help would be appreciated.
In Accounts and Sync, do you have Weather set to sync?

Yes

The top as you noticed takes you to the desk clock.
Tap on the lower part of the clock where the weather is. That takes you to the weather.
Mine does not. It takes me to the desk clock.

Anyone else have any idea why my weather widget is not working on my HTC clock? The clock works fine just no weather animations on it.
In case anyone wants to know. I fixed this issue by deleting and re-adding my city.

Hi!
landscape mode works only in some apps. You will not get landscape mode in homescreens, unless you have a custom ROM installed and have LeeDroid Tweaks.
Greetings
Putti
But it actually happened yesterday! I had landscape homescreen with all icons positioned on right of the screen and widgets resized accordingly...
[EDIT] I am running custom ROM Android Revolution HD

Hello, i have a non-rooted phone and also got it a copple of times.
On the home screen i suddenly had a landscape screen.
Once turned back to portrait, it did not go back to landscape again.
After searching i found a forum message about an app called 'Rotate'.
this app can force autorotate, so the landscape also works on the homepage.
1 problem, you can try it some time and then you have to pay for it (only $1.99)

If your using apex launcher you can go into advanced settings and pick auto rotate or landscape only, if your using stock sense then I havn't got a clue

HTC Sense doesn't allow the homescreens to rotate at will, generally the home screens are locked into portrait viewing.
I have seen screen shots of the phone homescreen in landscape, I think it's just a glitch... as you said, it's reverted back now and won't do it again.
Unless forced with an app etc...

HTC Sense doesn't allow the homescreens to rotate at will, you have to edit the rosie.apk to get it to work as you've already said.
So it doesn't work as standard.
I have a car dock for my One X, and when it sits in the car dock it is also possible to see the homescreen(s) in landscape mode.
Here is an example:

So it is possible and I find it strange that HTC doesn't allow it when using the device normally.
Rotate HTC 1 X homepage
I found this app on the Play Store " Rotation Locker" on another forum. It has worked for me but try it your selves.
.
Thanks works just perfect and now its free

This app works but...
Hey...even i was searching for some app or mod through which i can get my homescreen in landscape mode while the phone rests in my "new KiDiGi desktop charger" :silly:
So i came across the apps mentioned above.... "Rotation Locker" and "Ultimate Rotation Control"
Rotation locker was a free app but it did not work fully...like the lock screen used to be in portrait only...and the app sometimes flickered between portrait and landscape mode...so i uninstalled it....
Ultimate Rotation Control is amazing...it works perfectly for me...the only issue that it is a 7-day trial after which i would be asked to pay $2 (almost Rs.110 here in India)...
i would not mind paying money to the developer...but since i have a rooted phone with Android Revolution HD 9.4.1 ROM, i was just thinking is there any custom tweek developed for this ROM which can help me get rid of these Third party apps for rotation control....
Does anyone know about any such tweak for rooted HTC One X??
I have another query...i want to know if there is any tweak/app through which i can get my screen to wake up when a new SMS/Whatsapp/mail comes?? basiacally to wake up the screen in case of any notification...
Thanks a lot in advance

Wallpaper has stopped error, very annoying!

Hey, I just rooted my HTC one v and now when I'm running games, mostly Camelot, the game will go really slow for a second and then an error will keep coming up saying "unfortunately, wallpaper has stopped working" I select okay, but then it keeps coming up and is making most games unplayable, please help! Would love to be able to play a game for more than five minutes!

I have determined that it's whatever program(ie wallpaper, weather, etc) that is running on my lockscreen that crashes while Im playing games. If I disable weather or wallpapers it fixes the problem but then I have no lockscreen, so I press my power button to turn the screen on and all I have is a status bar and a blank screen. I have to use the status bar pull down and settings to get out of that screen.

[Q] Blinkfeed removal

I have removed the Blinkfeed screen from the left screens as it is an annoyance to me.
It is obviously still there as when I check power usage it is the 2nd highest pull with 17% usage. Within the power screens it gives me the option to uninstall.
Is it safe to remove Blinkfeed as it appears to be installed as a system app?
HTC sites says: Important: Most of the preloaded apps cannot be uninstalled.
Blinkfeed is the name of the Sense launcher, which is why it's still using cpu/battery. I imagine if you remove that apk without installing another launcher first, you're gonna be pretty screwed.

I just tried that too and then immediately hit the "home" button, and my home screen had to repopulate the widgets and icons, so I think that pretty much confirms it's a bad idea. You could always install another launcher (I like Nova) and then freeze the Blinkfeed launcher with Titanium Backup. Then if you don't like the results, just unfreeze it.

yea i found this out the hard way.. wasnt thinking when i was using TB to remove system apps, wiped Blinkfeed and phone just displayed a black screen with the Nav bar at the bottom
you can however delete the page to the left of the home screen to remove blinkfeed

Thanks.
I decided to go to GPE Conversion. Blinkfeed was too much of a drain plus I love the Google number look up so Blinkfeed is no longer a problem
