I have removed the Blinkfeed screen from the left screens as it is an annoyance to me.
It is obviously still there as when I check power usage it is the 2nd highest pull with 17% usage. Within the power screens it gives me the option to uninstall.
Is it safe to remove Blinkfeed as it appears to be installed as a system app?
HTC sites says: Important: Most of the preloaded apps cannot be uninstalled.
Blinkfeed is the name of the Sense launcher, which is why it's still using cpu/battery. I imagine if you remove that apk without installing another launcher first, you're gonna be pretty screwed.

I just tried that too and then immediately hit the "home" button, and my home screen had to repopulate the widgets and icons, so I think that pretty much confirms it's a bad idea. You could always install another launcher (I like Nova) and then freeze the Blinkfeed launcher with Titanium Backup. Then if you don't like the results, just unfreeze it.

yea i found this out the hard way.. wasnt thinking when i was using TB to remove system apps, wiped Blinkfeed and phone just displayed a black screen with the Nav bar at the bottom
you can however delete the page to the left of the home screen to remove blinkfeed

Thanks.
I decided to go to GPE Conversion. Blinkfeed was too much of a drain plus I love the Google number look up so Blinkfeed is no longer a problem

Out of no where, I suddenly can't add HTC widgets. Any other widget I add to the home screen pops up fine, but, when I press on an HTC one, the phone just freezes up (not completely frozen, bc I can press back to get out of it).
Any help would be appreciated.
Sidenote: The widgets I'd put on the home screen before this problem still function fine.
Are you using HTC Sense or ADW launcher?

haha. A friend of mine and I figured out that it was the fact that I'd restored 2.1 systemed data using titanium backup when I upgraded to 2.2.
Ok I need to know how can I access my apps using MiUi Tom,I mean using Sense roms u just hit the arrow or apps n I can scroll thru my apps, with this rom I just don't know how to get access to em.help
Miui doesn't use an apparently drawer, you just swipe your screen to either side and all your apparently are on the home screens, so if you have Widgets, you'll see the apparently and Widgets on your screens

I just got this phone today and so far I love it. One thing that is bothering me is the google search widget that is on the home screen. Is there a way to remove this? I've tried everything I can think of. Thanks!

You can disable it but you can't use the space it used to take up at the top of the home screen. I just got holo launcher (a home screen app) and now I have all that space usable too.

After disable Google Search, try to apply the theme again and the search bar should be disappeared.
Every time i open an app for a long period and exit it the homescreen will go black & blank for over a minute, it really bothers me, It's such a shame for something that costs you 3 bucks
I'm pretty sure it's not my phone, never had this issue other launchers

Perhaps there is a launcher setting to allow the app to persist in memory? Phone might be killing the task after a long period of inactivity, causing problems when relaunching in the form of redraws.

Get pimp my ROM and tell it to keep the launcher in memory. It's buried in the long list of tweaks, you might find some you like

When I open the APPS the APPS tab is there but no longer does it show the Widget tab. I'm wondering how to get it back.
Are you using the stock Touchwiz? I never had a widgets tab in the apps drawer on stock. Just touch and hold a home screen.
Are you using a different launcher?

I'm using Nova and it always had widget tab however I tried holding on start screen and HOLY COW up comes what is missing. I never knew about that. THANKS for the help.
I haven't used nova in a while but I'm sure in the nova settings is a way to bring back that tab in the apps drawer.
