If before you have done the backup restore it. If no flash a stock rom with odin, there are topics about.

u can try to connect ur phone with com by using usb cable. Check whether adb shell is able to run. If it can run, ur phone should be able to recover by replacing boot animation.

Do u have any nandroid backup? restoring is the easiest way. May I know which thread u followed?
What I did to change boot animation is to change 2 files, i.e. bootanimation and samsungani under /system/bin/
then put in the bootanimation.zip into /system/media and rename it to sanim.zip.

ok~ if u have CWM recovery, simply flash a new ROM. Else, u can use odin to flash.
You only have white boot sceen right? after apply boot animation mod? And your phone still operate well?
No need to re-flash it, *boring
If you use custom boot animation mod before. You can delete bootanimation and samsungani in system/bin
And delete sanim.zip in system/media folder
this problem cause by wrong in setting permission in bin file or the boot animation doesn't have correct size.

So I found this fantastic boot animation, and decided I wanted to change. I searched around, and found a method where you replaced 'bootanimation' in system/bin and changed permissions to 777. It did not work. Then I tried the old, Samsung firmware method and it worked!
Here are the steps (using Root Explorer):
1. Find a suitable bootanimation.zip
2. Place it in data/local
3. Reboot!
You can of course place it there using any other method. No need to modify any permissions. It should work.
Thanks dude

Ah.. So it is basically like a 'clean slate'. You mod it the way you want. Plus if you're okay with having the stock thingy, as rebooting phones is a very rare activity in daily, normal usage, it saves at least an MB of space.

If you can't even enter download mode, then I think it's a hard-brick...

Do one thing. Charge your phone and see whether the battery icon appears. If it does, then you can still recover your phone. Maybe your battery's low and that's why you can't enter download mode...

The "SYMPTOM" of a hard brick is not being able to boot into Download mode. Pull your battery, put it back on again and hold Vol Down+Home+Power until you see the Samsung logo. If it boots into Download mode, flash stock ROM from Doky's thread. If its stuck in the Samsung logo, you're f***ed Lol. xP Well that is, unless you're on warranty.

stuck on samsung logo and boot loop (continuous booting) are just soft bricks so no need to worry. Can be fixed through odin
Hard brick is the one you should be wary of which is manifested by being unable to go into download mode
flash via ODIN or if you have backup flash through CWM

I had the same problem, or more or less. Use the 'One X all in one recovery kit'. Just select boot to recovery with the software while it is showing screen(You're phone has of course be plugged in to the computer).
Alternately you can hold power for 10 sec, more or less, until the soft buttons flicker, when thats done the screen will turn of and hold down 'lower volume' button plus power, until you're in the bootloader menu. Remove usb, if you don't get past sd-card updating. Boot into recovery and wipe everything(data, cache and dalvik) and reflash rom or you can just try and restore from backup.
My problem came from flashing mods on an aokp rom, which also changed wrong stuff. Did that more than once, so worked for me.
Hope this helps.
Just boot into the bootloader and use adb the following command fastboot erase cache and try to boot then use the wipe method to clean the device
yes i am in recovery mood

Have you managed now? Just boot to bootloader and then recovery or just use toolkit you've downloaded and boot straight to recovery.
You should also note, that you must have at least some sort of rom on you're sd card. If you do just do the above to get in recovery and choose 'install zip from sd' (or something similar) and install that rom zip.
Hope it helps

Good stuff. Placing it there just prevents you from having to type or paste the full path to the image.
Edit: I'd make doubly sure this method works with the GN, it can be sensitive to image size IIRC.
