[Q] Problem with flashing ROM - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

Hi. I used DInc2 with s-off and root.
HBOOT 6.13.1002
Radio 1.09.01.0622
rmk-ROM-vivow_gingerbread_4.08.605.3-r1.zip was flashed on the phone. Everything was good for 3 month, but now the phone can not boot.
When boot in ClockworkMod get error:
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
Then when I trying to flash ROM via recovery I got that log:
Formatting system...
Clearing dalvik and boot cache...
Installing system files...
Creating links and setting perms...
Running ROM configuration scripts...
Flashing Kernel...
assert failed: write_raw_image("/tmp/boot.img". "boot")
E: Error in /sdcard/rmk-ROM-vivow_gingerbread_4.08.605.3-r1.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
What could be done in this situation?

Try reinstalling cwm or use 4ext recovery.

With 4ext I got same errors in log.

Is it normal that partitions doesn't have any size?

...
I consider that partitions are corrupted. Solving that problem discribed in this thread . But I have some problems again.
/sbin # parted /dev/block/mmcblk0 mkfs ext2
Error: /dev/block/mmcblk0: unrecognised disk label
Have any ideas about that error?

I get that too. I have no trackpad at all so I use Rom manager and get that error. Also I've emailed you koush just wondering if its possible to add alternate confirm button for recovery. Power or many or something. I need to buy replacement trackpad otherwise lol.
I get the same issue. I tried ext2 3 and 4.
Can't wipe ext so it makes the recovery not very useful as I use a2sd.

I had this problem when using an EXT4 partition, fine with EXT3. I would try formatting your EXT to 3 and try again.

I am using the latest and no previous desire compatible recovery has worked for me. I will try formatting via Linux and try again
Currently got ext4 but had ext3 previously to no avail either

[Q] Problem with Clockwork

I just used Amon Ra recovery to create an ext4 partition on my sd. Went fine, but now I've switched back to Clockworkmod recovery and every time it starts/I go back to main menu I get this error:
"E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 (File exists)
E:Can't mount CACHE:recovery/command
E: Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 (File exists)
E:Can't mount CACHE:recovery/log
E: Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 (File exists)
That first line shows up as well whenever I've tried to wipe dalvik cache for the last few months.
This whole error shows up when I try to create a backup as well right when it starts to backup cache, then just stops. doesn't backup cache or ext partition and doesn't generate md5 sum.

I tried that fix twice, but I keep getting this:
/dev/block/mmcblk0p2 has unsupported feature<s>: extents gdt_checksum
e2sfck:Get a newer version of e2sfck!
and clockwork continues with the same errors at the main menu.
EDIT: Upon typing "e2fsck /dev/block/mmcblk0p2" in adb shell, I get the error "/sbin/sh: e2fsck: not found".

sounds like you trashed your internal EXT2 partitions.....I did the same with amon recovery..........here is the post I used to fix the situation:
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/6433-solved-messed-up-partitions-on-internal-storage/
after I did this procedure, I had to unroot back to stock, then unrevoked again.

That's odd. I used it just the other day to partition my SD card with 512mb sd-ext, 32mb swap, and the rest as FAT32 and it worked flawlessly. Something that clockwork couldn't do, mind you.

I worked, perfectly, to do that for me............it went awry when I tried to change the partition from ext2 to ext4. The new clockwork has the ability to partition your sd card in it..........but now I am gun shy to try.
I knew clockwork has problems partitioning sd, so I stayed away from it. That's why I used Amon Ra to get it done. did partition sd, then did ext2 to ext3 then to ext4. Then flashed back to Clockwork and next thing I know this problem comes up.
I had this same problem last night. I fixed it by going into ROM manager and reflashing clockwork
I tried reflashing recoveries, but that didn't work. I went through the process that was posted above and it fixed it, although I didn't have to RUU back or anything. I just formatted everything on my phone, pushed the 6 files and ran the parted program, then all was fine. Did the partition on my sd again to ext4 and now it works

Interesting. When I created an sd-ext partition ext4 clockwork wouldn't recognize it, giving me the same errors above. Switching it to ext2 worked fine.

[Q] E:Cant Mount No Such Device

Trying to install RCHDMIX but when trying to mount SD-EXT get an error.
When I tried to mount it in RA Mon Recovery I got an error message saying "E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0) (No such device) I have tried several cards but all the same.
I have tried the adb method - fastboot oem enableqxdm 0
Still nothing.
Please help!
Thanks!
Do you have an ext partition on your sd card? If not use amon ra to create one
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
yep has a partition. First one is fat32 the other is ext3 created with amonra
I think your ext partition has some problems.
You may try to backup and reformat it using lunux.

[Q] Can't mount mmcblk0p2 error

Hi,
I was flashing the latest Miui gingerbread rom and accidently flashed the X-Parted data2ext version, instead of my usual d2w, Since flashing and running the d2ext rom I have been getting this error whilst trying to flash a stable rom(Miui gingerbeard not stable),
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(file exists)
Error mounting /sd-ext/!
Skipping format...
I have formatted ext partition manually through g-parted, deleted partition and re-partitioned formatted the entire sd card changed ext types but as yet cannot remove the problem, I have had the same issue before with Miui, but formatting solved it.
I have also tried googling this but none of the solutions match my problem nor are they particularly easy to follow.
Can any1 help??

As I posted many times, this error:
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(file exists)
Error mounting /sd-ext/!

happens, when card is not partitioned/wrongly partitioned.
If you use Gparted first create the FAT32 partition and then the EXT partition(s). And make all of the PRIMARY, not logical.

tried everything i can find related to error on sdcard, nothing seems to make any difference, and it all seems to be errors for different devices. i know im missing something probably very simple, ive tried cleaning everything and installing zip from sd, nothing seems to workand i know its not a problem with the zip, come up no matter what zip i try. is there a problem with what cwm im running ? or do i need format sd in some way thats not fat32 or some sort of sd-ext thats not ext 3?
Does the sd work when your system is booted? Have you tried to reformat it as fat 32? How's your partition table? Have you tried to mount the sd yourself? Is the fat the first partition of your sd? Is at /dev/block the mmcblk1 partition present? Have you tried creating a new goldcard?
Swyped from my Desire S

yeah sd works when system booted, and have tried two different sd`s one 8gb and other 2gb have tried formatting both fat 32 with nothing else present but the rom file and gapps. Ive tried different partitions 1st primary fat32 1024mb and 2nd primary ext 3 1024,
done the same for 8gb 1st fat32 7gb /2nd ext3 1gb, and also tried just one partition all fat 32 on both cards. Ive tried mounting it my self to no avail and tried a new gold card this morning.
how do i check Is at /dev/block the mmcblk1 partition present?

Ok, your sd is there (it's mmcblk0 not 1 Sry, confirmed it by looking at the mount output of my girlfriends phone, thought the partitions are named the same way as mine, but they are different).
Did you try to download the package or where did you get it from? I'm just wondering cause the name of your zip is different than the one you can download from the cyanogen thread. And it finds the package, it also tries to apply it, but aborts it cause the package is corrupted or made for a different device.

yeah i got cyanogen on it now, seems to be problem with the package i had to use the original package from the first post by alquez

sounds kinda like the problem I am having. Look at this shot.
Yeah yours is status 7 error mine was 0, make sure u wipe all cache and davlik and mount storage. Worked for me eventually.
I've done all of that. Just didn't wipe the boot in mounts and storage. I've installed other roms before but this one is giving me the cold shoulder!!!
Your flashing a saga rom which means its for desire s. You cant do that unless you want a bricked phone.
yeah think u need the new cwm recovery now that ive had a look at ur pic on pc, is the old recovery you have.
I have this problem with a Galaxy S2 T-Mobile. Newest Recovery. Except, mine says (Status 1).

I have the same error while trying to install a UOT Kitchen zip. I installed it once but can not install a new one.I've wiped cache and dalvik cache. No matter how many times I try to flash it, it keeps aborting. I'm new to this, so if someone can help me please, I would be forever greatful. I have a HTC Wildfire S.
If it worked once r u sure the zip is ok? try download it again.
