Hello,
I am using Tapatalk mostly for Galaxy Nexus and Android forums but unfortunately I am having problems where not all images in posts show up (only about 20% do). If I click on a frame with a black background a series of options just shows up as if you long pressed on it. Is anyone having the same issue?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Turn off forced gpu rendering in developer options. Should solve your problem.

Didn't work for me. Maybe it's because these pictures are still loading? try to reload the page and then they appear.

Its definetly because of the Force GPU Rendering. I had the same problem. After a restart everything was good to go.
Also your not really gaining anything by having it on.

Thanks for the tips! So far all images have loaded and I have yet to encounter a non-loading one.
Thank you

Thanks, I wondered why I was not setting all images in a thread. Just tried it on the Instagram thread and I now see them all.

Mine FC's too. Haven't used the tutorial since my HTC magic though, so not a big deal if it FC's

I don't really need it, but I've never seen it.
I thought it odd that it didn't work on a stock Gnex!

I have been having problems viewing images in tapatalk regardless of the forum. Anyone else have this problem? Is there something I can do to fix this?
The pictures just show up as black squares.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Same here. The updates a few weeks ago completely broke pictures for me.
Pics for mine either take a really long time to load, or don't load at all. Don't know of a fix, just wanted to post up so you know it's not just you.
Same thing for
me. Images won't load or take ages if they do.

I had problems with tapatalk images appearing as black squares but this was a while ago when I had force 2d gpu acceleration enabled in the dev settings. Worked fine after I disabled that but I still get occasional force closes when clicking on the images.

Thanks for the solution. It was because I had force 2d gpu acceleration on. Tapatalk is so much better with images

XDA app is a modified version of tapatalk . . .
Thanks for the advice with this, it had been annoying me for a while. Iv always had force gpu rendering enabled since I owned my nexus. Also I don't know if this is just some placebo but the back ground in tapatalk appears to a slightly darker black, it is probably my imagination

Agree, background is a little blacker. And man, am I so glad a read this thread. The image issue has been a real hassle.
Hello,
I have an issue with my Galaxy Nexus, After i upgraded to 4.0.4 it happens that when in standby mode, the screen turn on for 3 seconds and then turn off by itself many times.
The phone is rooted, and not few applications on it, same when i had 4.0.2
Does anyone know what is causing this?
Thank you,
Is it saying its charging when it does it?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Nope it doesn't say charging.
Hmm. Wondered if it was the charging port problem... I had it n done some Googling to find its quite common, fixed it myself. I'd check what's causing wake locks.... alternatively a factory reset should help..

Had this issue on my xoom and nexus. Uninstalled a few apps I had on both to try and narrow it down and haven't had the issue sense. My rouge app was a tablet wallpaper app.

Some apps use the FULL_WAKELOCK to do certain tasks, and that turns the screen on. Check some apps that might do that, the permission for that is "Prevent device from sleeping"
Thanks guys

After updating to the newest version of Google+ (v. 3.2.0) from Google Play I've noticed about 0,5 sec lagg when scrolling up and down through the threads. Browsing through this app in not buttery smooth for sure. I am using stock Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4.1.1 Jelly Bean yakju version. I even reverted back my phone to factory settings to see if it helps - no change.
Do you guys experience the same problem. Any suggestions?
Same here on stock 4.1.2 with a relatively small set of apps. Not as much as laggy but choppy is how I would describe it

I enabled gpu rendering in developer settings but it didn't help at all.
I think it must be application issue itself and we need to wait for solid upgrade. I personally think that I am only pemanent beta test mouse for Google Inc.
Lag has gotten bad enough for me that I've stop using it. Results used to be near instant and now 8 secs min.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Xparent ICS Tapatalk 2
Laggy as hell and since the latest update, it isn't displaying the "nearby" post appropriately.
Some users reported same problem on iOS either.
So why does my phone start to lag after a day. No matter what ROM or kernel I am on, after about 20 hours my phone starts to lag. If I restart my phone all is good. Does anyone have an explanation? Is this a great 4.2.2 feature? This wasn't happening before that.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Is that even pure stock? There are several posts on this already. There isn't a genuine solution but some have suggested some ways to minimize lag on 4.2.2.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I have tried all sorts of ROMs.I will look for some of the other posts. Its just frustrating because I can get it to fly, but have to reboot 1-2 times a day.

Check your memory usage. I have this problem too - and it seems like my memory if full. Try to see what services run in the background and maybe you can stop some of them. Also look at 'Greenify' - it is an app that stops background processing for apps you don't want hanging in the background. It requires root, though.
do you use twrp? i had that problem until someone mentioned that twrp doesnt wipe completely and used cmw.

I installed greenify and will see in a day or so if it is working. Thanks for the tip.

would it be too much of apps running at the background and causing it lag?
I'm reading about this issue more and more everyday ... one solution i saw was that to install "Clean master" from Play store and clear cache with that to minimize lag i believe it only affects custom roms and not stock based roms :/
