What class is it? If it's class 6 then it will be ok.

Now I have class 10 adata 16Gb, but this one is UHS-1 (up to 20Mb/s) there is no class just UHS-1, and they are faster then class 10 cards.

If the ROM uses the ad card e.g. for ext partition, then a card faster than class 6 can cause lags.

Didn't know that... I was just thinking of buying myself a new faster card. Didn't have that problem with lag on this class 10 card I use Sebastian Runnymede rom, and AD2SDX.

Then most probably you won't have problem on the new card.

I remember reading something about 8 gb being the biggest card to not cause problems with a2sd. So I'd like to know whether this is true and if anyone is using a 16 or potentially even 32 gig card just fine?
I'm using a class 4 8 gb card right now and it's too small for my needs. I also wonder how much difference a higher class card would make? I hear a class 6 card is the minimum, but so far my sandisk ultra class 4 was performing ok.

Your Arc supports all classes, higher is better,so class 10 is the best solution.

I had talked to the customer support of HTC regarding using class 10 ,16GB sd card. They told me that you cannot use class 10 card on wildfire s(i am confused wether 16 GB class 10 or any size class 10).
They again told me that you can only use class 10 on phone with processor clock more than 700MHz.
Is it right?

I presume they mean that you wouldn't get the full speed of a class 10 card.
A wildfire S at stock clocks seems to tap out at about 8MBps write, as opposed to the 10MBps a class 10 card is supposed to function at.
The SD card standard requires that a higher rated card must function in a lower-rated interface, just at the lower speed.
Simply our phone cant read and write class 10 at their full speed...so you can use it but for value for money you should go for class 6 16gb..i have it.

The CPU appears to be the bottleneck. It'll push class 10+ speeds if you overclock significantly. This guy clocked at 806MHz is pushing 11.2MBps writes.

If you are buying a new SD card only for being able to use data2sd, then may i suggest using app2sd first and then buy if you are not satisfied with the performance. And if it is for something else, then go for class 10. and overclock your phone!
What's faster a class 10 Kingston or a sandisk mobile ultra uhs-1

Well, sandisk is class 10 in most cases (for 4GB and 8GB is class 6)
So they are comparable..
Writings are both around 10-15MB and reading is something better on Sandisk, like 30MB vs 20MB of Kingston.
Sandisk is water-proof, temperature proof, X-ray proof and shock proof...
All info is from google
...BTW I think I have Kingston Class 10..not sure what brand is..but it is class 10 for sure and its not big deal, I dont think HTC Desire can use more then Class 6..but when you transfer files to PC and other way around via cable then I think you can see advantage of class 10 vs 6
What's the best 32gb SD card yo get for the note2? I'm thinking if buying a sandisk mobile ultra micro SD card, Its read speed is UHS speed class 1. Is it a great SD ?

Edit: wake up long afternoon.
UHS 1 is a new standard that is basically the equivalent of Class 10. Will do ya fine.

My Note II is super happy with the Samsung Class 10 32GB I have in there.
Had the SDCard in my last phone, but it seems really "at home" in the Sammy
Is there a noticeable benefit of a class 10 card over a class 6 one on this phablet?

If your not switching your sdcard with your internal one then I doubt you will notice a difference between the 6 and 10 since all apps are stored on the phone.

There is an extremely noticeable difference if you are copying files from your computer. I am always copying a lot of video to and from my card and a 66% increase in write speed saves me a lot of time.

im using a sandisk ultra 64gb sdxc class 10($50) reformatted to fat 32(for TWRP) in 1 note2 and a sandisk 32gb class 2($20) in the other and the write speed when copying videos from my PC is virtually identical......(fast)...is this due to the reformatting?
