Yeah, i try it, i formated the sd to NTFS, FAT32 and exFAT, but ain't not working.
Are you certain that the sd card is working? Have you tried to read it your PC using a card reader? Could you try another card in your phone?

Dude.that is not a proper way to format our sd card
Im using minitool partition application.U need to install that with your pc.Use google search for that app.
>Use card reader if u choose minitool partition method
>1st partition format must be fat32 (so tht your pc and phone can read it)
>2nd format ext3 (this is for a2sd and link2sd)
>3rd format will be linux swap. (currently a2sd swap function still unavailable. It dependent with kernel support)
Here is video link from youtube for your guidance.FYI im using terma and buzz kernel
Hey, thanks a lot. The problem is on the kernel, i flashed the rom again and flash the kernel 0.7.50 rc20 and no problem.
Thanks for everyone

Hi,
I have been googling an searching in this forum all seem to get is ooold posts...
My issue is partitioning my SD since the internal memory disappears like yesterday. From what I have found the proper way to do this is to connect the SD to external device ---> boot linux and do it in gparted (Ubuntu 11.04 liveCD).
Yeah, that work like a charm... NOT... well actually it partitions the fat32 and ext4 partition... not problem but when I try to mount the ext4 partitions it doesnt work! I presume it suppose to work...
The other thing I tried was to partition with clockwork recovery, that to worked fine but no partition.
- Hope I understand this correct but if one would partition in clockwork recovery I would be able to see this partition in gparted when done, right?
- And when I start to partition the SD I should have one fat32 partition consumes the whole SD or should I leave the size of ext4 unpartitioned?
Can someone pretty please guide me thrue this please... and before you say it Yes I have found previous guides about this but not work for me...
What is the latest Clockwork recovery and Amon RA recovery?
- Which one work best with partitioning?
Oh, I should perhaps mentions what phone and ROM....
Phone: HTC Desire
SD: Sandisk 32GB class 6
ROM: GingerBurst (seems good) or if somebody have any other suggestion... like sence and weather widget....

Check out the recovery in my signature.
Hi,
I also had loads of probelms with this...
If you want to partition you SD card via recovery i strongly recommend AmonRA.
If partitioning via gparted didn't work for your sdcard (which is odd...) i recommend using a simple Windows app called MiniTool Partititoning Wizard (it's free)...so just dl that app, enable usb debbuging on your Desire, plug in the phone, run the app, and follow this simple video tut> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCV7Eu1pjWQ

Wow... I did.... flashed that recovery...at the moment I am flashing ROM.
Will let u know if it works, noticed that the recovery always say that my sd-ext partition is unformated everytime when I start it... thats odd.
I will let u know if it works.
BIG thank you this far!
Oh, I must forgotten to post what happened...
I was not able to flash new Rom with my 32gb SD but when I tried my 4gb SD card it worked fine. I would guess that there is something wrong with my SD card. I shall buy a new one and se what happens...

Before doing that make sure that both your partitions are primary and you have unchecked the "Take ownership of filesystem" option in Disk Utility from Ubuntu.

Anyone know how to enable and install Link2SD or DT's A2SD on a stock rom? I know Darkshado's method, when you need to flash simpligio without the modem. But is there a way without flashing another rom? I'm also aware of enabling of enabling A2SD for the Galaxy Ace but if I try this on my Gio, will it be safe??? Please help. Thanks for your time!
Hi,
I'm using stock froyo 2.2.1 (S5660DXKC3), rooted and using link2sd.
It very easy to install the link2sd. i suggest using class 10 microsd. Here is the step:
1. Using a PC/laptop, create 2 partition in microsd, 1st is fat32, 2nd is ext2. Set both are primary partition. i use the partition wizard home edition (is free)
2. Set the 2nd partition size not more than 1 Gb, i heard that it will cause an error if more than 1 Gb. Mine are set to 0.8 Gb.
3. Root your phone, i'm using super one click
4. Install link2sd from market
5. Insert your microsd to your phone
6. Start link2sd, it will ask for the 2nd partition. pick the ext2
7. Reboot/restart your phone
If you want to use A2sd on stock rom, use must use modified boot.img. A2sd can't work on standard boot.img (CMIIW)
And use custom kernel

To enable link2SD or a2SD on 2.2 it is very easy.but on gingerbread, you need to flash a custom kernel(such as phiexz's kernel),because of the kernel doesn't support init.d script.

Use a SD card reader!! Not from your phone!! Also you need custom kernel.
Ok first partition your SD card. Use the program call MiniTool Partition Wizard. This is on your PC. There are guides all over the web for this but I'll sum it up for youse. Make a SD-EXT with the options > Primary > Ext4 > 4Kb Cluster size
Download Darktremor's A2SD and put in the root of your SDcard. Once done plug SD back to phone. Make sure phone is off. Enter recovery and find the a2sd zip and flash. Reboot the phone and it will bootloop for maybe 2 times. Then it should have installed a2sd correctly!!
Hope this helps
merci! I DO indeed have a custom kernel (ArpegGioMod ftw) but I bit the bullet and installed Link2SD, and it seems to be performing okay.. slightly sluggish fps with Mupen64, but nothing a little OC can't fix. lol
Just for your information, you don't need to have a custom kernel for Link2SD.
I'm using it with 2 primary fat partitions on (rooted) stock 2.3.4.
And It's working like a charm.
Has anyone noticed that on a reboot link2sd starts to relink apps and sometimes some apps are removed from the phone. I have always experienced this and I have reinstalled link2sd many times, but the problem still persists.
hello THERE
i just want to ask what the best ext2 or ext 4 for link2sd??

the best would be ext4, as it is the most recent and allows faster data transfers but the downside of it is that some roms may not support it meanwhile ext2 is more of the universal type; widely used format.
ps: you can play safe by choosing ext3 instead
i just read other forums thats ext 4 is much better...but i dont remeber the forum link....
EXT2 is old
EXT4 may not work on some ROMs but blazing speed
EXT3 safe and fast.
PS. Don't risk repartitioning your SD with EXT4 just because it is the fastest. Choose to EXT3.

backup ur data
Use cwm » advanced» partition sdcard....
Make one ext3 partition less than 512mb & the rest fat32
Ext3 will be used as the extended internal memory for linking apps
fat32 will be mounted as your sdcard
Now reboot
Open link2sd, it will ask you for mount script » select ext3
Select settings » auto link...
now all set
Written this in brief..
For kernel flash use mai77 method
No bin count as it'll flash using cwm

It is an indication that you flashed a firmware which is non-stock .. in some samsung service centres warranty will not be considered if you have bin count..In only few countries though as no one cares to check them and they either dont have the knowledge to check them..all they know is "KIES" xD

Hmm...which ROM are you using?
You must use a custom ROM having a2sd darktremor enabled to enable a2sd..
Im not sure about L2SD..But I can guide you...Did you get a "Mount 2nd Partition" message when you first run L2SD? Otherwise Click Left touch button-> Click More -> Click the "Recreate mount Scripts" On Link2SD and restart your device..
Go to any installed user application and on bottom it shows " Create Link" ..Press that and if it continues to show linking options then you have L2SD perfectly working..

For this to work you need to have a secondary partition of ext3/ext2 ..ext3 is preferred..Use CWM to repartition the SD card..
Creed and repencis supports both a2SD and L2SD ..chobits supports L2SD..
You can try this guide by CarlDeanCatabay which describes the L2SD process:

I prefer L2SD over A2SD as L2SD has more advanced options..

Thanks! but I think the zip file is for enabling SD card write permissions only..
my problem is that the EXT partition I created doesn't mount on boot and I don't know how to enable that since I'm on stock rom not a custom one..
I am having the same problem. I even flashed that zip but It didn't help.
I had read somewhere that the Exp partition size should be 20% of the microSD card size at most. is it relevant here?
I've also made a Linux swap. the order of my partitions is :
1. fat 32 :15 GB primary, Active
2. Ext4 :now 5 GB primary (It would fail mount with Ext3)
3. Linux Swap : 1.5 GB

that zip is for re-enabling writing permissions on SD card which is disabled in KitKat by default.

you don't need that much for the ext partition.. it should be no more than 20% of the SD card size.
I guess you made the ext this size because of games, right? you should use foldermount instead.. It's AWESOME!!
