New A100 user

Hello Guys,
I'm recently changed the iPad to buy Iconia A100. I really satisfied exept for the following points:
1. battery life: It's really frustrating recharge A100 like an iPhone. I've donwloaded the Judge Defender and installed as well CPUSleep but I can't arrive at the end of the day.
2. I've installed latest ROM CPCyanogen, my really good compliment to Pio Masaki, the table has completly changed the performance with his room, but I would like to ask You if it's possibile to remove the vibration screen everytime I tap on the screen.
I've removed all flag for vibration in the display settings and Input method, but I'm still getting vibration in the home screen when I change the icon position and the block screen. Is it an easy fix to do that?
3. I would like to personalize my tab in order:
- change wallpaper: what is the right size? because everytime it's crop the image
- boot screen: I would like to change boot screen animation, is there in the forum a procedure to do that? I searched it without found it
- Widget and launcher: do you have some advice?

Welcome to the forum and the a100!
1: Yes it does have mediocre battery life, not much can be done about it besides finding a CPU governor that helps but keeps performance where you want it, Linux society has a kernel with tons of options that you may like. Screen brightness is a huge drain, and only have GPS on if needed will also help.
2: That vibration is with the launcher, so check in launched settings for that option.
3: The screen resolution is 1024x600 however wallpapers tend to move with home screen changes, so it may still be to wide, this can usually be set in launcher settings too.
/system/media/bootanimation.zip is where the boot animation is, you can replace it with another of the same or lower resolution to personalize it to your liking.
I use Apex launcher and also Holo launcher, both are pretty quick and smooth.

Thank you Pio for you fast answer, I really appreciated it.
Last question, that I missed in my first post: I bought some ebook when I got the iPad, I`ve tried to copy on A100 to open them with ebook reader but does’t works.
I think that is not correct if I have to re-downloaded from G.Play and pay again for them.
Is it something that I can do?

If you pulled the ebooks off already, the format may not be compatible. Use calibre to convert to epub and it'll work with apps like aldiko.

[Q] Viper x - some questions

Hi
I have installed viper x and now i have some questions:
1 I want to increase overall screen brightness. which of the sliders in the tweaks do i have to use?
2 i've set custom lockscreen apps for the sense lockscreen but they're not shown. Must the sense ui be installed to use this? I have an installation without sense ui.
3 i have selected the option "vibrate mode" for my horizontal quick settings but it is also not shown. Anyone who knows this problem?
4 can i set a volume key as trigger for the sense camera app?
Maybe some of you can help me. Thank you very much.

1) if you have set the screen brightness in settings to 100% then i don't think there is anything else you can do to make it brighter.
2) you need sense installed
3) open venom tweaks > status > Hide n Reorder
check that there is not a red X next to vibrate mode.

1) I don´t want to set a fix brightness, I thought I could make the auto-brightness a little bit higher by changing one or some values in the tweaks-screen i have attached as picture. Is that possible?

3) there is no red x, I´ve already checked that. But something funny happened: I checked it again, marked it red, unmarked it, changed the order of the settings and now it is there. But now the Wifi-Hotspot-Setting is not shown (the last and 7th setting in my list). Maybe I can´t set more than 6 settings?

2) if you install without a full wipe it should all be saved.
3) icons are on a scroll, just swipe from right to left on the tweak icons.
4) welcome

If u rename your TTF with these names it should work

I have tried this and now I have a bootloop! How can I come into Fastboot or Recovery from that? Long pressing powerbutton an holding volume down during the black screen doesn´t work... PANIC!

Ok, I came into recovery. Works again. :laugh:
I kept holding power an volume down all the time and didn´t release power when the screen was black.

1) Yes, there I found the screen I hab attached. But what now? Increase all the sliders a little bit?
2) That led into a bootloop again, don´t know why. But now I know how to handle that :laugh: . I will do a full re-install with sense ui next days.

5) There are only 10 fonts. I can´t find a possibility to download or add more. If there is none, I will use the app "font changer". That works, but some fonts aren´t changed then...

I have a new question about Viper X:
I always have Google Maps in my battery-statistics consuming a lot of power even if i didn´t use it. A friend told me that somtimes Maps makes trouble when it is installed as a system-app. So when I did the new installation of Viper X I didn´t install Maps as system. I loaded it from Play Store and switched Latitude off. But its still there.
Anyone who knows about it?

Remove One V Ring Lockscreen!

I want to use a different lockscreen.Dont ask why i wanna remove it, I JUST DO!
PLEASE, i tryed like a hundred friggin things:TITANIUM BACKUP,froze it,removed it,used Root Explorer to find every com.htc.lockscreen file,moved em' deleted them,BUT i still have it.I dont even see how thats possible!

LMAO RIGHT NOW.I rebooted the phone in a sad atempt to flash another lockscreen but it didnt boot into recover and when it started it was in stock unlock!

I believe I seen people saying to rename HTCLockscreen.apk or delete it. The only bug with it is that you have to unlock the phone, then answer the phone call.

Rename the HTClockscreen.apk to HTClockscreen.bak..... its in system apps and reboot your device....

Removing the HTC sense lock ring
I too was going crazy with this isue, but I finally found a solution and wanted to share with you guys/girls.
My phone is the HTC one V with HTC Sense ver.4
Ok so, first thing is to disable all security on the HTC Sense.
This will give the default pull ring when u try to unlock the phone
Now i installed 2 things , the go launcher EX and the Go Locker. The settings you need to change are in Go Locker so you shouldn't need go launcher EX hopefully i just prefer it over HTC Sense.
Ok so, launch Go Locker and (if you get a screentalking about locking the home key i just by passed that by clicking "set later") click setting icon on top right corner,
All seeting stayed on Default except the following :
activate Go Locker : ON
And now go to security:
I clicked on pattern
drew my pattern and saved it
and all the way to the bottom you see a setting called:
Password unlock (directly enter the password, skip the lock screen page) --> THIS IS THE ELUDED SETTING TURN THIS ON
and no more slide lock (and hopefully no ring i haven't tried it without go launcher ex) when you try and unlock your phone it will take you directly to the pattern screen
WOO HOO!!!
lock screen : disabled this was the default i didn't change it
advanced setting -->
Turn off system lock : Select "none" to prevent showing double lock --> just better to disable all security on the HTC Sense

that never worked for me, and I got the stock android lock screen but now IU have no way to add shortcuts to it... anyone know?

Translucent screen on mi 5s

Hi I have problem with translucent screen. It's weird, because if I go to app like messenger then when I minimize it on my home page I have my normal home page and like 10% of messenger same if I go to other apps etc. I give screenshoots below. Im on stock 9.5 eu room android 7. Pls help

Which one to delete? Or all of them?

Question The Wallpaper On My Lock Screen Can't Be Changed.

Just as the title says. No matter what I do, I can't change the lock screen wall paper. It is stuck on the snowy mountain wallpaper, just like on PC Mode. Only the wallpaper on both the outer and inner home screens can be changed.

It can be change in settings under themes, i dont know but maybe of your rom. is the issue

Which looks just like Themes, the only language shown is Chinese, and none of it works. I can't download any themes or wallpapers, and when I tap the Search bar, it crashes every time.
As you said, it's most likely my custom "Global" ROM. It's garbage, a lot of things aren't working out that well. Even when I connect a bluetooth mouse I have issues. The moment I touch it, my Mi Mix Fold freezes and restarts every single time. A bluetooth mouse (or trackpad - tried that too), is useless.

For me I changed this custom "Global" ROM and updated to latest chines rom via mi flash tool, much better.
