One X casing - HTC One X

Guys,
I.just.f*cking.dropped.my.one.x.on.the.asphalt... Now, its beautiful casing is blemished with scars. Is there any available for replacement. I know this usu unibody construction, but i really need this seriously...
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk

Holy s**t, I hate it when that happens.
Couldn't find anything atm unfortunately, I think OEM housing replacements normally become available a few weeks after the phone launches.
I know how you feel mate, I did a similar thing 2 days after owning a Nexus S.

Yep. It feels as if i broke my heart. Haha. Well, thabks for the info. I'll look out after a few weeks. Maybe i could even change to white!

Can you post some pictures up would love to see what damage looks like. I feel your pain though dropped my sgs2 and got a couple of dents and my heart was pounding! Not a nice feeling at all.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk

I'll try to get a camera first. But beware! Not for the faint of heart.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk

I don't think you're going to be able to do it yourself like other phones. Perhaps HTC will have some kind of service where you can pay a bit of $$ and trade for a refurb.... Otherwise it's going to be hard with a unibody.
M.

can you post some pics

I thought so too because of its unibody design.. sigh.

Picture or it didn't happen!

Nokia lumia 800 is an unibody as well and there is a possibility to change...
So think guys.... What comes in,can always comes out
Gesendet von meinem Sensation mit Tapatalk

i think a case is very necessary...
my camera lens got a scratch from sitting on my table, screen up.. when u put the phone screen up, the entire lens is in contact with the tabletop because the lens is flushed with the metallic ring.. god, this is a real retarded design.. i've used my hd2 for 2 years and the lens has not have a single scratch because the len is recessed compared to the metallic frame... this time round however, 4 days new, and the htc one x len got scratched. real.....
word of advise: need to put something on surface for the phone to sit..
put screen up, camera lens gets scratch.. put screen faced down, entire screen in contact.. higher chance of scratches on screen.. seriously, i dunno why htc keep designing phones with low battery capacity when sense eats battery like kids eat sweets and design phone with cameras sticking out all the time...
they are like the only people around who design phones with the camera sticking out, begging u to scratch the damn lens..

Yep same here..
Coming from the DHD to the Sensation XE i was happy
They improved it a lot....But for the One they lapsed

Unlucky man, sounds like a disaster to me. I'd be so sad if my new toy was damaged hope you get it sorted!

Be careful: HTC One X - Broken screen

Hey Guys..
Just alittle warning. I dropped my Htc one x from my pocket as i was walking on the street and as you see the glass broke. I am somewhat disappointed, I expected that it could withstand the impact, but no.
Further, i was informed by 3 differnt repair shops that it is impossible to get it repaired because there are no parts made for the phone yet.
One of the guys told me that htc not prioritize this particularly high.
Well i had a nice week with it tho
Ah man that's a real shame I dropped my Desire countless times over the 2 years I had it and it ended up with a 4mm long hairline scratch on the screen. I guess it's the price you pay for the curved glass - less protection round the edges.
Yea i guess i was unlucky. But im back on my old desire now hehe
Might have been alight if you had a case on it.
John.
ouch that makes me take a sharp intake of breath feel your pain bud I'd be gutted

yes the metal ring is not flushed with the glass, glass corners are extruding a bit over the protective frame
style over function, people

By the damage it looks like it hit the side, that case will protect against that, he said he wanted something stylish and light.
I have ordered a white version of the case below, it should give good all-round protection including the camera, and give fantastic grip from all those nobbles.

Its funny how people get jealous of what i get paid to do.
PS. this phone was purchased outright for our own personal use. This was not a review unit nor was it given to us. if you had any common sense you might realize that companies will not give you a phone just for you to smash it into pieces.
Ouch!

I do reviews for a site and we have a very close relationship with both Samsung and HTC and the word they always use is never "GIVE" it is always "LOAN" and with that they always make use promise that the device will be returned in perfect working order. If it is damaged in anyway the reviewer has to pay for it.
galaxy s2 also has gorilla glass and it really IS UNBREAKABLE(nw I think i should'nt had sold mine )

Why HTC alway have the same "smart" desgin of phone camera?

I wonder why the hell HTC alway design the phone with "frog eye" camera like this HTC ONE X ? I'v just use my phone for 1 week and it have a lot of scratch already. This is the most reason why i hate HTC.
They are so smart ? OR they never use their phone so they did not know that those "frog eye" camera design will very very easy to get scratch ?

Scratches HTC One X

I found one LITTLE ding on the glossy top right corner of my One X god alone knows how it got there and it's been bugging the hell out of me for the past week or so. Anyone knows of anything I can use to cover it up? Something white.. That'd act as an adhesive and maybe go down into the dig and stay there making it not so noticeable? Thanks for any help

Tried that but it's too thick like.. The ding is really small

make a picture from it. gorilla glas scratches also, but it is very heavy to polish small scratches out of the glas. on "bay" you can find a polish for gorilla-glas - if it is really helpfull, i dont know.
can you upload a pic? i would like to see it

i see ouch little ding ding there..dont like cases? you can try white epoxy but very hard to get it done or will be difficult due to you may have to buff/sand it down and have to clear coat it or something..maybe a little dap of it will work without doing the sanding/buffing.just get the 5/10 min dry time.sorry about that ding ding on your phone i was like that couple of weeks ago on my iphone 4 but now i throw it around and accidentally dropped it on the floor at work glad it didnt break the screen..its all good im about to get HTC X one tomorrow for a test drive im so over iphones

Haha, the way this phone looks... Last thing I want on it is a case.. Got no choice now though. We have similar cases though, I had a 4S before this. And that thing didn't have a single scratch on it cuz it was so damn easy to get cases for it. Sorry to hear about you dropping your iPhone but with that glass back, don't take any chances. Get a decent case. You'll love your One X though. At first I found it kinda crappy.. But I just needed to sort out a few of the bugs will try the epoxy tomorrow and tell you how it goes

A positive story.

Well. Last night after a few we thought it would be good to throw out a crayfish trap. I took my phone to use the torch and baited up. I swung the trap and launched it out into the depths along with my trusty torch/phone.
A mate said, "hey, how's that light in the water?".
A moment later I fuzzily realized it was my onex sitting on the freshwater dam bed 2m under lighting up the whole area. I dove in, grabbed it and powered off.
Took it back inside, opened it up, shook it dry and left it in a container of rice next to the fireplace.
Rebuild this afternoon and perfect. Spent 4 hrs with camera in caves. Perfect. 2 hrs GPS. Perfect. Phone and texts. Perfect.
I did also bend up all contacts before assembly.
Note: the only place water got in was headphone port really. For how long it was under I would have thought it would be waterlogged. Not so.
Now loving the unibody design.

Check the WiFi fault thread mate. You can pry it open from the bottom up taking extreme care. I wanted to remove battery but the connector plug is under the motherboard and needed micro Phillips and some skills. Both I lacked at the time so just shook dry and in the container.

these things never fail mate (unless you own a defect)
since the day of my HTC diamond in terms of functionality they are the most reliable devices
ask my wife, she drop her sensation XL like its ok, the back cover and battery fly off, yet so not a scratch
