SwiftKey 3 has just been released in beta. Boy oh boy does it look sweet. Check it out HERE. Unfortunately SwiftKey's site is getting punished right now so I haven't been able to get through to get the APK. If anyone else can, a download link would be appreciated!

I'm in the same boat as you...Unfortunately, their website is always slow. I went and joined the vip section to vote on the ICS theme they were working on and it was torture to get anything done. I'm really hoping I can get logged in soon...Will share asap.
Oh man. Gotta have this! Swiftkey hands down is the best keyboard I have ever used, period. And I have tried them all. I have tried swype over and over again and I just don't understand the appeal. Terrible. I can type a message three times faster than any swyper. Not to mention it's nearly impossible to type without looking at where you are swiping, and then all you're doing is smearing your screen up. I'll try to get the beta as well and post here if I do.

I'll give the beta a try when I can get it. But A.I. Type has always been better for me the "free" version was good got the paid version a few after using it. I do have a paid version of swiftkey as well though lol. I buy to many keyboard apps :/

Hey guys, as the title says does anyone have any idea if Swype will ever be available to purchase? I've used two hacked betas both of which have expired. So I am now using SlideIT, I know Swype is a bit of a contentious subject on here, but I'd gladly pay $10+ for it, I just want it released. It's been in beta stage for a year or so now. Anyone have any ideas?
Sign up for the beta and use it, still going on my handset
I think I did ages ago, they've stopped accepting testers haven't they? I've heard nothing from them.
If you registered before then log in and see if can use the next beta version. If you've not then try and register but I don't know if they closed it again after opening it up a while back
Awesome, the beta is still open, I've got it back! Thanks Eddie.

They are giving away apps that are usually paid apps.
Examples:
SwiftKey X
Beautiful Widgets
They are legit, GetJar is working with app developers to do this. I'd post the apks, but i dont feel like dealing with the people who will tell me im giving warez out. However, install this and use it to get the apps. http://db.tt/7xbbJ7Cp

They must have turned a new leaf cause back in 2006 when I stll had a razr I used this to download paid .jar games for free.

I like getjar, in theory. I just wish their site was easier to navigate, and they published updates to their apps.
Weird but if you uninstall getjar some apps don't work anymore they say they are part of getjar gold and you need getjar installed. Fortunately beautiful widgets isn't one of them. I only uninstalled getjar because it always stays in ram as 10mb

Free this week: Tapatalk! Swift key isn't on there anymore and I didn't back it up
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
send me your e-mail and I'll send it to you if you want. I mean I don't know if that's morally wrong but if you did download it when it was free and just didn't back it up I don't think it would be wrong would it? I have the SwiftKey X from GetJar when it was free. I don't want to do anything to hurt developers so if anyone feels this would be wrong if he's already downloaded it but didn't back it up let me know. I do believe in supporting developers. Funds are a little tough for me right now which is why I look for the GetJar specials or Amazon daily free apps.
I am starting to rethink Amazon though. I've heard stories that they take advantage of developers. Any info would be appreciated. I'll stop going there if they aren't being fair with developers there.
Jim
Oh, and if anyone hasn't tried TouchPal Keyboard I would at least give it a shot. Right now its free in the Market I think until the end of the month but after that they may charge for it. I've been using it for a day now and I really do like it. Very much like SwiftKey X. What's great is if you follow them on Twitter and "Like" them on Facebook you will get lifetime free upgrades. Hard to beat that. I'm going back and forth with the two and its a little tough to really decide yet. I like them both especially in landscape mode and they both work well with the slide out keyboard.
There's nothing wrong with giving it away.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
Hey Counterfeit, as long as it doesn't raise any moral issues just click on my name and send me a private message so you don't have to put your e-mail out in public and I'll send it out to you.

You got my first app thanks since GetJar allowed me to get Tapatalk. Quite an upgrade!
ETA: happened to notice with all its advantages that Tapatalk was noticably slower. Checked the "3G Compatibility" option in settings and that seems to help quite a bit with no noticable drawbacks (and I'm on Wifi right now).

What about if you use Titanium Backup to force the market link or whatever it's called? Would this then attach it to the market so you could update from there?

Slideit was a poor substitute, but better than the ol' hunt-'n-peck standard keyboard. This port has been working flawlessly for me so far, give it a try!
And I did this post with Dragon dictation… it's pretty cool!

There has been a working port around for quite some time. That was the first thing I did when I got my Nexus.
Swype is considered warez here you might want to remove that link.
Hopefully an official version will be released soon. I tried slide it for awhile but it's just nowhere near as good as Swype. Had to find myself a modified version as well.

Seeing as the support dude from Swype pointed to it in their forums and said to give it a try, I'm comfortable with it.
As he explains in the GN thread, Swype for the moment follows an OEM business model, so there's no retail version available to be stealing as warez; further, there is an android beta freely available to anyone willing to register on their site.
This is simply the beta version with the graphics resources modified for our higher resolution screen.
Swype doesn't seem bothered by it, why should I be?
Of course, ripping it out of an OEM phone and distributing it - that would be wrong.

Thanks. I am testing this out. It seems to have a bit of lag on the rezound. May be duetohapticfeedback. And apparently on words it doesn't recognize. I think overall this will be great.

anyone else problems in chrome beta? it is very laggy but only in chrome browser and only when typing an adress..
Love SwiftKey but also admire the keyboard on my wife's HTC one, it's awesome but SwiftKey goes further cause I can use my predictions on multiple devices. Oh and it's a Cambridge based company just up my street, so will forever support them lol.
This beta is seriously pretty epic. The keyboard is seriously robustly polished. And the fact that it can figure out your words, and where the spacings goes at the same time. JUST WOW. I'm a longer time Swype user, but this has definitely got me on the switch.
And I just reinstalled SwiftKey X last night to give it another try. This is a whole new different level though.
If you need a link to the apk, here it is: http://bit.ly/HKAPLw
Mods, my apologies in advance if the link isn't supposed to be here. Please feel free to remove it if you find it necessary. Thanks.
Don't bother going to the SwiftKey VIP site, it's being hammered so bad right now.
Spare a click on the thanks button if it isn't too much to ask for.
Got it before but thanks.
Don't think I'll be using it without space bar as impressive in english, seems to struggle a bit in other languages. But larger bar sure helps. Still a few bugs, but minor so far.
I bought the current version when it was 10p in the Market. Best keyboard by far I've ever used. It's actually a pleasure to write emails/SMS now. Certainly better than Swype anyday.
Thanks for the heads up. Will give it a go.
Nah!
You can't call it better then Swype anyday. No offense but SwiftKey and Swype are of different league. And Swype is more innovative imo. Hardcore Swype users won't accept it over Swype, it might be worth a try as its kinda different but at the end you're back on Swyping

Does it say some parsing error and gives you some 4kb file? Might be an issue with the xda servers instead. Been happening to me too when I do direct downloads on xda.
I've uploaded it to my Mediafire site. Have a go there. Should work.
