Refurb has a really loose screen - Epic 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I had a couple issues with my epic and when I brought it in for repair/replace under TEP, they were able to fix the ear speaker but the lines on the screen remained so they ordered a refurb which I received last night. At first I was so excited because it was in so much better condition than mine but within the first minute I noticed the screen was way looser than my year and a half old POS that's been dropped on concrete a few times. So what should I do?
I googled it and it appears that a repair store can strip it down and tighten a few screws to fix it, but if it just came from the "sprint certified" refurb factory or whatever, why the heck didn't they do it? I'm assuming it's normal and I can't really think of any repercussions to having a loose screen but it really does bother me for some reason. I haven't even put a battery in it or anything, should I take it back to the same store and see what they say or just activate it and live with it?
I'm not sure if this will even show, but here's a pic:

That gap is over twice as big as my old one...

Could call Assurion back and tell them they sent you a defective refurb. It has happened to many paying customers.

Yup just get a replacement. Took them 3 tries to get me an acceptable refurb.

Dropped my TP2 :(

Hi there,
I accidentally dropped my TP2 and now the bottom right corner of the screen doesn't work anymore. At first it was just a small part of the corner but it got bigger a few days ago. Can anyone tell me if this is fixable?
Thanks in advance.

does it look something like this? Or do you mean that the touch screen part doesn't work when you tap
Actually it's more like this
It's just that the corner is black. It's still touchsensitive but it's just black.
I know it may be too late to post this, but getting insurance is key during times like this. Tmobile USA offered me $49.99 for up to 3 lost or stolen phones for 1 year. I can renew this plan after a year. Tmobile also offers insurance for $5.99 a month, but you have to pay 99.99 for lost phone replacements.
I don't think that's savable. I might be wrong but I think you'd have to replace the screen on it :/
Replace the screen...

Think I might need

A new camera pictures have started to become real grainy and dull also somehow the actual internal lens not the little piece that goes over it has gotten a scratch on it which shows pretty badly. As you can see in this picture I tried taking of a frog it looks pretty horrible

You can either order parts to replace it yourself, or take it to a sprint store and see if they'll do it.
Been looking and I'm having a hard time find a new camera any idea where I can get one

Go to your local Sprint repair store and ask that they replace the camera module on your device with one from a phone which they are to send back (from an exchanged phone). There shouldn't be any problem with them doing so.
Hang yourself. There's nothing you can do at this point. Your phone is now a shiny new paperweight.
But in all seriousness.... Walk your happy ass to a sprint store, and tell them to fix the ****. And if they ***** about being rooted (Whether you are or aren't) Tell them to shove it because rooting won't ingrain a scratch taht deep into a lense.
Btw, HOW THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT???

[Question] - Broken phone.

i baby'ed it for so long.
the hood of my car slammed down on top of her.
was wondering if i can send the phone back w/ no battery.

Got insurance/TEP (total equipment protection)? The you should be OK. According to Sprint: With TEP you phohne will be "replaced quickly and easily by filing a claim if lost, stolen, or physically damage beyond economical repair including liquid, fire or lightning damage." [http://bit.ly/HYddCd]
This has save me sh$tloads of money and enabled me to be able to upgrade great phones when old ones died. Best money spent.

OCD issue with glass

So I noticed earlier today there's a small gap on one side between the glass and the body. My ocd is killing me. The issue I have is dust, dirt and other small debris can settle within the crevice.

Does anyone else notice this?
Edit: pic updated
I haven't noticed this yet on mine but just got it 3 days ago. I will keep looking as I have a bit of OCD too.
I believe I also have a whee bit of a gap on the left side , but it is so small it doesn't bother me. I don't think I could get a picture of it if I tried it is so slight. I really had to look at it to convince myself it was even there. Your first picture makes it look quite obvious on yours though. I assume you're having it replaced because of bad pixels so hopefully the next one will be 100%.
Yes I'll be taking mine back due to this and 7 dead pixels. These two things made it an easy choice whether to return or keep it.
UPDATE: Contacted motorola. They said either i ship mine back to them and then theyll send me a new one. or they ship me a new one put a $200 hold on my CC and then once received, i ship mine back to them.

Zenfone 2 ZE551ML Screen Marks

Hello everyone, if anyone can help me with this would be fantastic. I bought a Zenfone 2 last November on amazon, and recently it started overheating what I think caused some burned marks on the edges of the screen. I requested assistance from asus and they offered the RMA to fix it or replace it, but I'm afraid to be charged with CID ( consumer induced damage) since my phone have a lot of cosmetic damage. Should I take the chance with the RMA?

I had to RMA mine for basically the same thing (this thread). After hearing nothing from Asus for over a month I emailed them and raised hell. They responded and looked into it. They finally said that they were having issues getting the parts for it and offered me a replacement device which I accepted. My phone was in perfect shape except for the screen issue (used cases and tempered glass from day one) but it would be worth a shot. Just make sure you have a stand-in device before you send it, though.
Looking back I wish I would have just had it repaired by a local place. It would have cost me 80-100 bucks but I would have only been without my phone for a couple of days.
