Hi
I have some questions, I'd love if you could answer.
Romans of ONE X will work on ONE XL and vice versa?
Which processor is better, Tegra3 or Snapdragon S4? Who gave better performance? Even after OC?
i Hope i published in the right place, I'm new here.
Thank you, Sun!

I can see you're new lol, it's cool . I don't think ROMs on the One X will work on the One XL since they are using different system on chip processors. I personally prefer to have the snapdragon S4 ( it is truly, very, extremely powerful even at dual core) over the tegra 3 but still the tegra performance is very very good and it's quad core too. also the tegra version will likely get more support than the XL since the tegra version is a world phone vs the XL which is LTE and coming to AT&T only so far I think. As far as OC and everything it's too early to tell but this is a phone that will get a lot of developers so just keep an eye on ROMs and kernels.

It's a bit too early to tell, but the One X will probably have a pretty good amount of developer and ROMs/Kernels.
One XL will have the edge in speed though as S4 Krait is much more advanced. It's using a new architecture while being built on the 28nm fabrication process. The community might be smaller, but it will be fairly large also, i'm pretty sure even if it comes to AT&T only...you can use it as a world phone. It still has HSPA+ etc...just turn off the LTE and AT&T's bands are already some of the common ones used around the world.
If you want it now, get the One X.....it most likely will be the more widely supported phone by ROM's and kernels. Modaco has one haha

Since i havent seen a single thread discussing the Dual Core Htc one x i thought id make one.
Anyhow for any of you that have it also, what are your thoughts?
Ive had mine for 3 days or so and i love it! Have none of the problems that the international owners have (screen flicker, flex, bad battery) the battery is actually what impressed me the most about the phone, its amazing, just runs all day on hspa (i dont use lte). Also very happy with the new gen snapdragon puppy in this thing, definitely isn't a slouch compared to the tegra 3.
anyhow, im eager to see what other rogers/att users have to say about their Htc one x possibly.
We're in the htc one "XL" section. You posted in the international version aka tegra 3

Looks like att is going to get the new one x with the Tegra 3 processor and lte. They mention a possible q3 release date. Just curious how many of you would jump to it even though the s4 is still so new. I myself paid full price for mine yet would be very tempted to buy this outright too. If the only difference is the processor, probably not. Have to also think about going through the whole bootloader locked fiasco again.

I am very happy with my one x and I don't care if the new one x will be full hd, quad core 2.5ghz and 3000mAh battery except there will be choice between pure aosp and sense provided by htc. I'm not gonna change it until a new nexus series phone will released because there is nothing like pure aosp feel and getting updates earlier than other devices.
Only if you're willing to give up medianet for an almost doubled bill just for a little faster internet.
Tegra 3, LTE and 720p display? That will demolish the battery no end.
They surely can't keep the same battery then?
gotta admit the HTC one X is the best phone I've ever owned.
I've had an Iphone 3 and 4. HTC sensation XL and now this beautiful piece of hardware.
Just decide to root and mod it and put Coredroid rom on it.
Don't give me Tegra, I want Snapdragon S4 quadcore with Adreno 320.
Tegra 3 wouldn't hold a candle to that, even at 2 GHz.
Tegra3 is outdated ... S4 Quadcore would be better ....

Yeah. Hopefully they'll release it polished, not in a rush.
Hopefully HTC does a few more visual tweaks and actually optimizes the browser for 4.1, and perhaps an optimization of the ROM for lower RAM usage and higher performance...

For the Tegra 3, there's still a ways to go as they haven't eeked out all possible powersavings from the complicated aSMP system, but for other SoCs power savings will be hard to come by...
firstly we are still running on a GB kernel...once the new kernel source gets released then you shall see the difference in speeds and performance

Why do you guys always have to look for the negative in absolutely everything? The "One X+" name was made up by the media and fueled by rumors to get people to click on links. It apparently worked.
There are three new devices floating around out there - 2 phones and a tablet.
Here's all the detail on the phones:
T-Mobile U.S. is getting an HTC device with an internal code of "era 42" in September. That's all the detail that's been released. Rumors have it to be a version of a quad-core One X. Which version, no one knows. Here's what Android Authority said and it's the only thing that's true.
"We know that we’re throwing a bunch of hearsays and rumors, but this is all we have to play with for now. "
There's an "Evita" (XL) phone that's shown up in benchmarks with a 1.7GHz Teg3 chip and Nvidia Icera LTE radio that has an AT&T signature on its ROM. It's shown up twice and the model number is PM63100. First in July, with 4.0.4 and a couple of days ago with 4.1.1. So obviously it's progressing toward being released.
Here's how I take this. It's great that T-Mobile's getting a version of the One X. It's good for both HTC and T-Mobile. If you've seen their earnings HTC needs to sell more phones and adding devices and carriers is a good thing. AT&T getting a better XL is also a good thing. The SGS3 with the S4 chip is eating the current XL's lunch because of its 16GB fixed storage, crappy radio, and awful multitasking because Adreno reserves so much RAM for itself. HTC & AT&T launching an "improved" Teg3 XL with better specs than the U.S. SGS3 is fantastic for both of them.
As for JB, name one device from either Samsung or HTC that launched on a carrier with better specs than a global phone sold direct. I take JB showing up in testing for the new AT&T phone as a sign that development’s underway and that we'll receive it in the same time frame any new U.S. One X is launched which currently looks like September. Our One X launched in March. If there is a global One X+ that launches in October that's eight months later. If an improved One X helps HTC better compete with the SGS3 than I'm all for it. It also doesn't mean that the current One X is being abandoned.

they defo made a mistake selling a top of the line phone with only 16gb non expandable storage.
FWIW the aussie XL has 32Gb not 16gb so much more of a non-issue.
I don't see how this phone's a 'problem', I suspect its just an optimised/overclocked version of our current international one Xs, now Tegra 3 yields are maturing they are just cherrypicking the best chips and slapping a faux kernel onto it ROFL

It seems pretty sure that the OneX+ will release with the Tegra3+ SOC by T-Mobile.

Just hope it's not a release with an external battery and sd card. That would piss me off.

Didn't read those articles fully, but seems that it's somewhat identical hardware (besides OC and stuff) would love to see it ported into HOX

ur kidding iphone is just a soap box
Looking on the internet all the processor is is overclocked CPU and gpu, we will get jelly bean and sense 4.1 so that's fine, and its a American phone so how many on you will take a trip to America to buy a overclocked phone
Edit: the processor is also 28nm so it us more efficient and can reach higher clockspeed, no point considering the Wayne chipset(tegra 4?) will bring a 24 core gpu and 28nm quad core a15 processor which will be around
Next MWC 1 year on from tegra 3, that will be a yearly cycle unless HTC go back to snapdragon and if they do, bump the ram

Haha, fail.
Tegra3 is hot enough with 1.5 Ghz.
New revision with other chipset would be better ...

Tablet
Any news/rumours about an htc tablet. I've been considering buying an all in one device to serve as a tablet and a phone, but i have not considered galaxy tab 7.7 cz I don't like touchWiz and the hardware is outdated, hope HTC comes up with a decent tab soon
I predict this will come out loaded with JB and we will still be waiting for a official JB for One X, I also predict I will have a few holes in my walls to patch up.
HTC One X with ARHD 8.0.0 and stock kernel:
So, where's this 'improvement' they speak of?
Hello, a guy off craigslist is asking me to trade me my htc one x quadcore for a galaxy note att unlocked for tmobile and he says he will add 60 dollars extra is this a good deal?
No cos the HTC One X is miles ahead of the Note Unless you want a bigger screen.
It all depends on what you want from the phone. Personally Note is a little too big for my liking. But if you want a bigger screen, better battery life, and don’t play 3D games then a note could be a better phone for you. But remember AT&T variant has a slightly less powerful Snapdragon chip instead of the Samsung Exynos chip found in the international variant. I think Galaxy Note + $100 would be a fair trade..

think about this, that note doesnt even have the exynos dual core, but has one of the weakest dual core processers out there, the qualcomm s3, which is only based on cortex a8, whilst other dual cores and quad cores are cortex a9, and the s4 goes so far as to a15. so in really, that not has the weakest performace out of most high end smatphones, but if u are intrigued by its size and att speeds, then go ahead. otherwise, HELL NO

Hey guys, I love the look of this phone, my favorite color scheme has always been red and black. But I don't want a good looking phone if its not going to perform like I want it to.
So my first concern is developer support. Since this is a very slight upgrade it is possible not many people in the development community will buy it unless it is compatible with the International One X roms? Will this be the case or not?
Second is to due with the Tegra 3. From my understanding the new S4 Pro destroys this processor. My current phone being a sensation which constantly lags I don't want to ever be subject to lag again. Is there really that much of a difference in the two processors?
Third is to due with the ram, 1gb compared to the 2gb in phones coming out now seems lackluster. What do you guys think of this, is it a huge limitation or is the 2gb of ram a fad?
Thanks guys
Well personally I think that 2 GB of RAM is too much. A phone really doesn't need that much. The One X and One X+ uses the Tegra 3 CPU but of a different variant so I guess most ROMs can be ported easily.
