All the sudden, my display keeps turning on for no apparent reason. I have to push power 5 or 6 times to put it to sleep and it does the same thing every 10 minutes or so. If anyone knows what the issue may be feel free to drop a comment. Thanx.

You installed an new app? I have an app ClockSync that will turn the screen on and sync, then turn the screen off.
You could hook up to your computer and run a logcat of it happening, that should identify the cause.
Din't have clock sync but I do have lots of Go apps installed that might be causing this. I will pull a logcat if it happens again. Thanx Andy.

Got a replacement Epic recently (refurbished) and reinstalled all my apps, restored launcher pro backups, etc. Now, however, I am having an issue I never had before:
Whenever the screen times out and shuts off on it's own, the red alert led flashes and the screen turns back on a few seconds later, then refuses to time out again.
This is bad enough on its own, but there is more: I noticed today that "sensorserver_ya" accounts for 2% of my battery usage, and upon doing some cursory google research I found that the two issues are most likely connected and there is some app constantly engaging the phone's accelerometer that is likely the culprit.
I've already tried removing all my widgets and uninstalled launcher pro to see if the auto-rotate setting was causing it. No dice. I'm currently uninstalling new apps I've added since getting the new phone to see if they are the to blame.
My problem now is that I don't know which app is causing it and I have no way to efficiently find out as Advanced Task Manager isn't showing anything out of the ordinary running. Anyone else experiencing this? Is there a list of apps known to cause this problem? I will gladly provide more information if requested. Thanks in advance!
UPDATE: Occasionally, when the screen reawakens, it shuts back off after a split second and if I wake it up the screen is unresponsive to my touches for a few seconds. What does this mean?
Hello, i have a problem with sport tracking apps. I have tried Endomondo and Sports tracker but there is the same issue using them, so I suppose that must be some software issue of my cell phone. Application works properly only until the screen gets locked...when the cell phone gets in the locked screen mode it shuts down the whole cell phone within like 2 minutes and it can't be turned on again, i must reinsert battery for being able to turn it on again. With active screen everything works just fine. I use HTC Desire with Android 2.3.7 and CM-7.2.0-RC3-bravo. I would be thankful for any kind of advice, how to fix this issue
Seems like the phone is not waking up properly and could be a bsod. Did you under or over clock the phone?
Happens with other ROMs too?
Oh yes, next time, turn the app on along with a logcat capture and pull a logcat.

Hi, I was hoping someone could help me narrow down what could be causing this issue:
When my phone is plugged in and the screen is off, the phone will vibrate randomly (2-3 vibrations back-to-back, then it repeats it about every 30 seconds to a minute). When it started, I tried uninstalling all my new apps dating to before the issue, but it didn't fix it.
I've reflashed my rom ( Jedi Mind Trick JB 8 ), the problem went away. When I restored my apps & data with Titanium Backup, the problem came back, so I'm assuming it's an app.
I can run logcat through Eclipse, but I don't know how to read the log. Does anyone have any suggestions to narrowing down which app might be causing the issue so I don't have to install & test 1-by-1?
Thanks in advance for any help.
I'd bet your USB port is going. The fact that it was fine on jmt8 was probably a fluke.
Sorry, but that's my guess. It's vibrating like that when charging cause it keeps losing and regaining the connection to your charger.
My guess anyway.

Thanks for the suggestions. I replied like a week ago, but I just noticed it didn't post it. I fixed it - luckily it wasn't a hardware issue.
In case anyone else has the issue in the future... the problem went away after I did the following:
I have Xposed Framework installed, with the "Xposed Additions" module. I had the Wake on Plug and Wake on Unplug options both set to "Never". Not sure why that would've caused it because I don't have any other modules that would conflict, and turning those options back to "System Default" fixed the problem.
Anyone have this problem ? Pulled my phone out of my pocket trying to respond a text msg . When I went to the lockscreen it was stuck and wouldn't respond to my swipe . Held the power button down to bring up the power menu. It wouldn't let me tap the restart button . Battery pull once n start , same thing at lock screen . Did it a second time finally let me swipe to open the phone . Freaking annoyed with this !

Mine does the same thing....
It is very annoying I dont know what to do i have tried different launchers, have used watch dog and monitored apps and nothing seems to work. Watch dog did alert me to some apps that i removed, but the problem persists.
I have a similar issue. However my message app also takes like 15 seconds to start.
If i use the task switcher button, then kill all aps, start messaging, it takes a while for it to actually open.
Now if the app is already started. And i switch back to it, either by pressi g the icon again or by the task switcher then it it responds instantly like it should.
I did not have this problem on the orig firmware and i did not have this problem initially on nk3 after updating. It just startrd happening about a week ago. Clearing messages did nothing. Clearing apps cache did nothing, claering apps data did nothing. Preforming a hard reset via recovery didnt even help with the issue for me.
Anyway, back on track. I have experienced what you are experiencing. Because i know when my txt msg app is "hung" for a few seconds. It literally causes the entire phone to become unresponsive until the app loads. Could this be what you are experiencing also?

I got the same thing happening. When I wake the screen, the screen goes dim, and there is no response. The phone just hangs. I have to pull the battery. The phone gets laggy from time to time and I have to reboot. It's like the ram is bogging the phone. I didn't have this problem before I updated to the the new update. Any ideas for a fix. Thanks in advanced.

Same here, a reboot fixes it for a short time but it goes back to lagging on the home screen. I used to use the FPscanner until it got so annoying, I thought that was the culprit. I put the lockscreen on swipe unlock and sure enough same lag and glitch. I think it has something to do with the apps open in the background. Also noticed connecting to wifi makes the phone stutter for a sec, so maybe the combo of unlocking the phone with a lot of apps running in back and connecting to wifi? IDK but this phone should def. not have this issue!
Hi XDA Community,
For some very odd reasons, when I'm on Youtube and/or MX player Pro the media I select would keep skipping to the next video. It's fast skipping too. I don't know why this is happening and it happened like 4 months ago. It went away and now it's back. I scanned my Note 10+ with Malwarebytes, optimized battery, ran a scan with SD Maid, used Galaxy App Booster from Good Guardians, and rebooted my phone multiple times. And no detection were recognized. Also, the battery would drain faster than normal because phone would wake after in lock screen and would keep flashing to turn on. Please if someone has a fix or have any idea about this issue, really appreciate this community. Thank you
Edit: Also when I try to pull down the notifications, it would show when I hold it down but as soon as I let go it won't. This makes it difficult to access my flashlight and toggle on/off flashlight,
I've since reformatted the phone. The problem still persists.
I loaded in Android recovery and tried to run a graphics test. But when I tried to run the graphics test, it would give me an error. Could this be the problem? Any input are greatly appreciated
I actually don't think this is the case. When I reboot my phone and do not enter my PIN first time. The wake would not happen. So it must be an app...
