I upgraded my Desire by installing the LeeDroid ROM to get FroYo. Now however, facebook Sync does not show up on my People. When I try to enable Facebook as a sync account, "Facebook" does not get selected, and "Facebook for HTC Sync" gives me a connection error. Is there a way to fix this?
IF I want to go back to my original state, how do I go about doing that?
Try to uninstall and then reinstall Facebook app for Android on market, it may help you.

Same thing happens to me, I think it is a fault with the Stock ROM.
I think its HTC sense not playing nice with Facebook. Had the same problem with another rom and reflashed a couple others. HTC has confirmed it I think.

I tried the uninstall/reinstall avenue, but no luck. Is there any way that I can revert to the stock ROM that my phone came with? I'm missing out on a LOT of contact details without facebook. Plus contact images
Weird Facebook HTC sync works fine for me, using 1.4c
Reverted back to the nandroid backup. Some posts point to a Facebook issue. Will try out in a few days. I has the sad.

Try this, it might help:
"Settings" > "Programs" > "Manage applications" > "Facebook for HTC Sense"
1) Click on "Clear data" + "Clear cashememory"
It shall work by now. However, u have a weird ROM so try this if it still doesn't work:
2) "Settings" > "Accounts and synchronization" > "Facebook for HTC Sense" > "Remove the account"
This fixed my FB sync problem for good

Tried the above method and although it has started sync'ing, it is not getting my entire list of friends. I dont have that many on Facebook (about 30) but I spotted at least two missing from the list!
Working for friend stream. Still cant see all contact's

Hey guys help here, anything comes up everytime I sign in. I put the Facebook and friend stream widget but its all clear. I tried to sign in more than once. The strange things is that nothing comes up when I sign. Anybody know why!?
HTC DESIRE #1
It usually takes a while for me before its fully loaded the updates. How long are you leaving it to update before signing in again?

Not even a min. Is it that's why you think!? So should I leave it blank for a while!?

I know there may be alot of threads already asking about this, but most of them give extremely vague answers like "Are you sure this or that is the latest version"
So i have a HTC Desire Z, Upgraded to the latest software, not rooted, a UK phone, that is unlocked, I have heard with HTC Sync 3.0, you can sync your itunes playlist directly to the phone.
Both My phone and HTC Sync are up to the latest firmware, yet it doesn't recognise any iTunes playlists, although it can recognise WMP playlist (which i never use)
So i was wondering if anyone had any advice/instruction to get this to work.
Many thanks in advance.
I had that trouble at first...
Try this.
Turn on iTunes
exit HTC Sync
turn on HTC SYnc again
and plug in your phone for HTC sync and it should pop up. Sometimes it takes some time to recognize the playlist.
I hope that helps.

Thanks for the suggestion, although it still doesn't recognise it on HTC Sync.
give me a moment. I remember I had that problem a while back. I was googling this up a long time ago.
EDIT: the only thing I saw this time around is just to update to HTC Sync 3.0 upwards..... and just exit HTC sync completely and restart the program again. Go into the task manager if you can and end the process in general, not just minimize it into the taskbar.
I disabled Facebook for HTC Sense, and then i got the jelly bean update from my carrier. I updated and my gallery updated with a Facebook option so I wanted to re enable Facebook for HTC Sense.
I went to my app list where it still shows as disabled, however when I go into the app info, the enable button is greyed out and I can't click it.
Tried safe mode as well.
Glitch? No way for me to fix?

This happened to me on my HTC desire c and the email app, disabled it as I didn't need it, then recieved an update ota for the email app, after applying the update I had the same issue, the enable button was greyed out.
Only thing that fixed it was a factory reset, good luck mate
