I was updating Adobe Air for PTD.apk and when it started it said the previous version wasn't signed correctly. HELP!!!!

Same problem here. I even tried uninstalled the existing copy of Air via Titanium and replacing the build.prop file.
I changed my build.prop tp Nexus S, and uninstalled it too. I guess you have to get a modded air...
Anyways, i dont have cm7 or cm9, if somebody could upload modded air, great

I installed the mod for hulu from the skyraider extras on Rom manager and it doesn't work. Any ideas why?

because you posted it the wrong section...
Hmm seems like if its not working it will take development to fix it. Seems like the perfect place but thanks for your input.

I've been searching this one for a while and here is what i've gathered...
you must be deoxed (which skyraider is) and obviously you you need 2.2 and flash 10.1, the Nexus one can do it
Whambam I've got it! You don't need to be deoxed and all that jazz. To use the hulu app you will need the modified version of flash. But to watch on the browser you can use the newest version of flash.
Step 1. Open the browser app
Step 2. Clear the url and type "about:debug" then press go (if you did it right nothing will happen)
Step 3. Press menu>more>settings
Step 4. Scroll down UAString then select" desktop"
Tada!!!!

Wisenick,
Doesn't work. I tried that change and went to hulu.com and tried to watch a video and the embedded player on the site says that the browser is not supported.
I'm running the stock 2.2 os (4 day old Incredible and no root).

try using these apps
If your still having issues running Hulu on Skyraider, run the 3.1 patch. If you ran it, do it again. Fixed it for me...
I am running stock 2.2 as well with no root. I downloaded that Hulu pack, tried to watch a TV episode and it said platform not supported. I then tried to install that modified Flash install file and it said that it would not install. I am currently running 10.1.95.2.
Hey guys,
I come to this site quite a bit but only just made an account to ask this question. I have the Desire HD with android 2.3.3 and sense 2.1. Now I've been trying to install some skins onto my phone, but it doesn't seem to be working. I've done it before a while ago and it worked fine, I have no idea what the problem is now.
So I move the .apk onto my SD card into a folder called "skins", and using Astro, I select install. It seems to install it fine, but the skins just never show up in the skin picker. I've tried deleting the data for skin picker and rebooting and re downloading and moving the files but nothing seems to work :/ any ideas?
Thanks in advance guys, keep up the good work
Are the skins for sense 2.1? There's a few skins here you can try: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1048894
yeah they are, that's actually the thread I got the skins from, and also the skins I successfully installed a while ago

Unfortunately there isn't much that can be done from your side if it is not rooted and stock.
Last thing though, are you using the stock package installer? or Astro installer?
If you are using astro installer try using the stock installer instead.
Last resort is to factory reset and try again.
Thanks for the help, its just that I've installed skins this way before? I'm not entirely sure whether that was before or after the 2.3 update though.... Also, how do I use the stock installer to install the file that's on my SD card? I'm currently using Astro because its how I view the files on the card.

Does it give you an option to chose which installer when you open the apk? if not, then it is running the stock package installer. And at that point you have 2 choices.
1. Re-download another 2.1 skin and try installing and if fails... quit
2. Factory reset and see if that sorts out the problem.
everytime I try to play a video on espn or anywhere ofr that matter, it keeps coming up, unable to play..do I have to change settings on this somehow? I am currently using calk's el029 v2.9.2, please help..
They may be incompatible as flash development has ended for mobile phones....everything is heading to html5
Edit ... I just checked and mine played fine so it may be your ROM or need to update flash etc... I am on ics viper

You cannot run Google Play without root permissions because it will only run as a system app with the proper permissions which you need root to modify. As far as warranty goes, you can restore a rooted kindle fire to stock and remove any proof of the fact that it has ever been rooted by following one of the guides to return to stock.
I used to have my KF completely bricked after running ICS and different ROMs on it and so forth and recently sent it back to Amazon for ghosting. After having restored it to stock and doing a factory reset, it couldn't be differentiated from one that was brand new out of the box.
Thanks but I still think there's got to be a way to mod Google play because I have 1 mobile and it works flawlessly, so I guess ill try to mod it

No, there is not a way to do it without root permission. You have to have root access to move to system/apk and change permissions.

I appreciate your drive and willingness to try but the reason it won't work is because even if you were to find a way to get the app to run without being run from system/app you will still not be able to use it to install apps. The way it was designed to integrate with android is to contact google's servers and directly install the app to your device using its own permissions derived from it being a system app. If it doesn't have those permissions it won't know what to do and will crash. It cannot just download the app to a folder like 1mobile does. I understand that you want to use google play without rooting, I tried to do it too before I eventually gave in and rooted, but trust me you will be much happier with the device when you have root permissions. If you decide to stay with the stock amazon version of android I would recommend trying modaco's rooted stock ROM which comes with google play already installed, it will not only save you the trouble of having to attempt to install the app yourself (which is actually more of a hassle than you would think) but it also has better stability than stock does and you don't have to worry about amazon upgrading you overnight without your permission and you losing root.

Bravo
I want to play Order & Chaos but it doesn't work my jb-4.2-kfire-hashcode-12-18 ROM, it gets to the title screen then crashes back to desktop.
Here it is. Just flash it on recovery.
I Give credit to entaled for this.
I just flashed it from teamwin and it said successful but on reboot it still tells me its a kindle fire in about tablet.
Sent from my Amazon Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
I've tried it many times now and it still boots up as an Amazon Kindle Fire in the About Tablet section and Order & Chaos still won't boot. When I had ICS on it I used a Droid3 build.prop and was able to play the game but being a phone it kinda messed some stuff up on my tablet. That is why I thought the Nexus 7 would be perfect for it. I am running the latest stock jelly bean ROM.
Anyone help me?

Try deleting the play store data.
My device is still saying it is a kindle fire though. How do I delete play store stuff?

Look here half way down first post. You will see instructions. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778010
OK did that along with flashing many times to no avail. What can I do?

Change your build.prop file manually. Use ES File Explorer, and change the settings so that you can browse up to root, and modify the system folder. Then look for a premodded build.prop online, or make your own.
