Thanks man this is what I was looking for
Anything syncing in that period? Any bad signal at any time? Seems like you were on wifi, are you able to test a whole day with 3g only as that impacts battery life quite a bit.
Regards to screen, what brightness?
Cheers.
Ignore quoted myself!
Battery seems compareable with other phones which is good considering the large screen and quad core!
Convincing...
mushweed,
Thanks for the info. Things are looking pretty good for the battery life. 3h23min is a good start and would probably be north of 4h with several more charges. Will you update us in a week with the battery performance so we can see the comparison.

3hr 23 minutes screen-on time & you still have 33% battery remaining?
Was this with auto brightness?
I'm also curious to know the screen on time when the battery is down to 0%

It tells you in battery usage, built into android itself.
Still don't think it's possible to get 5hr screen on time?

You would assume that 61% of battery usage of total 10hrs would mean 6 hours of screen on time.. In fact, it is 3 as said by the user.
For the other thing:
I didn't know android could tell you how many hours you used your phone (screen on).
Can someone post a screenshot how you could know it?

I said just over 5hrs a few days ago, saying it wasn't proof but a good guesstimate, & I did state guess at the time based of a simple calculation. - for which you just insulted me.
3hrs 23 mins with 33% battery remaining tells me it's pretty damn possible to get the 5hrs that I guessed a few days ago.
As, at 20-25% - the phone will enter its own battery saving management to give further juice.
Screen on time can be found in any android version, battery usage > display (click on display to show screen on time)
Are you still saying it's not possible....

I ain't arguing with anyone, I still believe you to be a troll in this forum.
Xda users don't wanna hear your constant flaming of this phone, if you don't like it - dont get it.
In past weeks, ive seen you diss the design, the cpu, battery, ram, camera, video & lots of other things....
Anyway,
My guess was 5hrs, & if this guy can get 3hrs 22mins with 33% battery remaining, I'd say my guess at the time was a decent guess. (whether true or not, it was a guess which you just insulted me for!)
Regardless if you agree or not.

You certainly have a good point. I by no means would purposely do this daily, as I also charge my phone overnight every night. Just wondering what other people's screen on time is.
Hmm, maybe they should post their screen on time for a single day's use, and we can see how much battery remains as well.

I just use miui battery saver stuffs like background data restriction etc, notifications/gps/sync off, obviously I should have mentioned im using Epic MM build. Sometimes even getting 9H sot mostly on wifi usage.
Besides I get(in 2-3 cycles) nearly 5H sot on RR with my same usage.
I get between 7 hours the bad days, to 11 hours when the phone is happy
On LineageOS, Android 7.1
it seems the biggest factor is the cellular reception, i can easily reach 11h at home but if I'm moving during the day, it'll be more 8h
With me it was great on stock chinese ROM even three days of usage. After the first OTA update this went down about 30% Since Im on Lithium Nightly It was a full day+ but since about three weeks I cant get a full day of usage... Very frustrating... (I own the Mix nearly 10 months now).
I'm currently on RR with the RR kernal gapps and supersu and so far, every 10% battery gives me an hour on-screen time. Haven't fully drained the battery to test overall screen time, but it should roughly last around 10 hours OST. I'll be back with screenshots of usage.
Update: *Tested on LineageOS with same kernal* 9 hours and 30 minutes https://imgur.com/a/4p3Wm

Are you all sure that SOT isn't calculated also while displaying fingerprint area? I didn't test it yet, but it probably also counts sot, so the displayed parameter may show bs.
hmm I don't know, could be.
I used chrome a lot but not sure if it adds up to 7h. I mainly used the phone in bed with lights turned off so the brightness was at lowest setting the most of the time...
I might disable the fingerprint display if thats possible an post another screenshot.
I disabled some sensors with an xposed module and have the feeling that the battery lasts a bit longer since that.
Can give u a list of disabled sensors if you are interested.

I get around 5 hrs of screen on time on th lte varient (exynous)(fhd+ 60hz)(no always on screen) i think it should get more with the 4000 mah battery , also there is some standby drain , i checked and turned off couple of google services as well as stopped some background processes from facebook , hope to see an update to fix the issues
Managed to reach 6:30 SOT on G980F 4G variant. Using 120 Hz refresh rate SOT is lower
A bit over 5hrs with NFC, Bluetooth and always on display (120hz)
I got 6:40 with 30% left at 120hz... I will post screen shots and details tomorrow

It seems you have the 5G variant with Snapdragon 865, you idle drain is very less. Exynos variants normally suffers a lot from the idle drain.
1st charge cycle on my exynos s20 got me 4.30 hours of screen on time.with always on display off rest everything on.
After doing some adjustments...
Turn off 5G network (SF is not 5G ready)
Set to 60hz, fhd display
Turned off adaptive brightness
Improved SOT
6 hrs and 45 mins
17 hours total battery life

Another update:
Keeping the same setting except going for 120hz display.
SoT - 7 hrs and 6 mins
Total battery life - 13 hours
I might keep this setting going forward.

Download a battery monitor and post some screenshots and we can help figure out what's causing the drain
Why doesn't Samsung have SoT included in their own in-house Battery monitor? Coming from OnePlus 7 and Pixel 3. Can't recall the last phone that didn't include SoT since last full charge.

No, it originated from some clitbait titles if I remember correctly?.
However, I do not restore apps and their settings(restoring other stuff should be just fine) as they do not run properly sometimes that way.
Hello everyone,
I was watching some One Ui 3.0 reviews and some of the reviewers started taking about some new battery revamps or whatever, and I stumbled upon the "a full charge will last about" time they get.
Most of them get around 1d and some hours, I also noticed one reviewer getting 2d but he was on a Note 20 Ultra.
I get around 18h...
I know this is a stupid question, but this estimate is based upon your usage habits, right?
I have disabled all the bloatware and I have made some tweaks on refresh rate and all, since I want to get the maximum battery life available.
I spend a lot of screen on time, so I guess that should be a good estimate, but I would like to know what other estimates people are getting.
I apologise in advance if this has been answered before, I am just getting super ocd about my battery life.
It shouldn't matter but I am on an Exynos version.
thank you all!

This is not fair... Right now, I am at 13% with 19h and 26min running with 7h screen on time.
I don't think this looks good, does it?
Also check out the graph.
Not to mention that once my battery goes down to 10%, it drops from 10 to 5 and then to 1 in mere seconds...
My Samsung s20 ultra can used only for 11 hours and 53 min after a full charge..... This happen after I upgrade my phone to Android 11.....how can I fix this......
from 100% to 0% i cant get more then 4.5 SoT ( s20+ exynos ).
battery life on this phone is very poor.
It's disappointing...
