After using the skyrocket ICS leak, and flashing back to a GB rom (Factory reset and superwiped) I can no longer find the free version of titanium backup in the marketplace. I have purchased the pro version, but I need the free one for it to work... I just flashed the blackened ICS, I have it stuck in landscape which I can work with, but I still cannot download Titanium backup. I tried going to the play store from my computer and downloading it to my phone, just crashed the store on my phone.
Just Google titanium backup apk

Try wiping your cache for the bigger fix.

Can also try wiping data and cache of playstore app.

Clearing the cache fixed the FC problem, but it still doesn't show up in market place.

There is a problem with TIBU and the market right now. Just search for it and click on one of the other apps by him and then go down to the more apps by section. This is a known issue.

Had dl error on one app. Clearing the Play Store data (only) + reboot cleared it for me.
I have installed the FF18 twice through the Odin restore installer using the one that does not preserve data, and the first time it will boot fine. But then I will restore apps with Titanium and try to reboot and it will not get past the first Samsung splash screen. Has anyone else had this issue?

Did you try to restore apps with data? And did you try to restore system data? I'd say Odin back to FF18 and just restore apps only no data restore. That maybe is causing the problem.

I restored user apps with data, no system apps or data. I will try and see if this works. I also was setting a custom DPI with DPI changer, if that could have an effect.

If those are apps that were on GB they dont play well and you have to do a fresh install.

For some reason my play store keeps crashing, I've tried rebooting my phone, even clearing the data and ram from the play store... I don't get it..

Rooted? Rom? Kernel? Mods?
Have you cleared data and uninstalled updates? Then reboot and give it time to reupdate?
Try to Remove google account and re-enter info.
If no go then Reflash your rom

Completely stock, nothing custom. I've tried clearing it from the apps. I'll try to uninstall updates.

Tried deleting the play updates, still same issue.. this is so frustrating.

You may need to do the same on some other Google apps such as Google services framework and maybe a couple others that work along side the play store app. Can't remember them all right off hand.
When you say you're completely stock does this also mean you are not rooted? If you are rooted you can use titanium backup to backup all Google apps and data. Then clear data one by one till you find the culprit and then restore data for everything else.
Did you try deleting your account?

Completely stock, as I'm not rooted or anything. I tried everything, then I factory reset and its fixed.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Glad you got it fixed. I figured a factory reset would do it but was trying to help avoid it. But sometimes it's the only way....
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Yeah I was going to avoid it. It was about time for a fresh start anyways.

Downloads and download manager was enabled and the problem does exist.
Since the upgrade to 4.3 OTA I've tried the CM11 nightlies a couple of times. They aren't quite ready for my taste yet, so I restore the stock 4.3 from CWM.
I then spend the next 15 minutess or so with gapps & my launcher force closing repeatedly. But usually after a while it will stop almost as suddenly as it started.
Has anyone else noticed anything like this?
The only thing that absolutely prevents it is a clean wipe after the restore. That rather negates the idea of a nabdroid backup in my mind though..

I can't possibly be the only one who has seen this, can I?

Have you tried wiping the dalvik or a fix permissions after the restore? Seeing as how data, system and cache are auto wiped with a restore this is all I could think of that may cause this.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Is Dalvik not also wiped?

Ok so i was running the note 2/3 rom I forget what it's called and my phone was randomly rebooting itself. So i wiped everything did a factory reset and went to install my old apps and i kept getting this stupid error when stuff from the market went to install. The same exact apps that were running on the same exact rom. So then i got fed up and wiped everything and installed the sks mk4 rom and I still have the same issue. What is going on with this?

Did you wipe the internal sdcard?

I found a little trick on the interwebs. Open up TB. Once it finishes loading, hit the menu key. Select batch operations. Scroll down and select the orphan data choice. Fixed me up a few times.

Well try the titanium backup method mentioned hopefully that will help. When changing roms it is alwats best to wipe your internal sdcard to avoid these kind of issues.

I had this last week. Couldn't get gmail to install, then a different app. Since I was using philz, there wasn't a fix permissions. If you're not using that recovery, try fixing permissions. If you are, use the app rom toolbox lite to fix it.
Ok so the titanium backup method worked as far as I can tell. Everything has installed since I did that. Now my problem is for some reason xda app keeps disappearing. The icon stays on my home screen but disappears from my app drawer. When I click on the shortcut on my home screen it tells me app isn't installed. Then I have to go to play store re install it and click the same shortcut and it opens
