Welcome to the forums! Have a look around, try out the search button.
As WiredPirate mentioned, this has been discussed a few times.
The good news is that it's more of a "not officially condoned" as opposed to a "not going to work" type of support. Continue to use Wallet to your heart's content, just understand that there are certain risks on a rooted device - and Google won't be responsible if you run into problems.
Yea I can confirm that it still works. I only saw that message once... then never again. It just means that if you run a Rooted rom, you won't get support if something goes wrong or your money becomes missing.

This is not true. I spoke with Google CS about this and the man I spoke with assured me that the message meant if the app doesnt function in the way it should, ie. not transfering data via NFC or pressing a button doesnt work, that Google is not responsible to help you troubleshoot it. Not that you cannot cancel your card or retrieve your funds if you loose your phone. The phrase he used repetitively was "Your money is still your money", if for some reason your cash 'disappears' just call and they will straighten it out. But if the app is not transmitting or if it is spazzing out, do not expect them to help you troubleshoot it and get it working properly again, which I imagine they would initially try to do anyways or atleast give you suggestions on things to try but would eventually say "we are not responsible" if you are taking up too much of their time.
I hadn't planned on replying to this question since it has been covered several times but I had to clear up the misinformation.
Today was just the first time I ever noticed this warning in the app like that. I've been rooted forever, but I thought it might have been due to a recent update (and no topics showed up in the little "topic title search" thing).
Been like this for weeks. Its effectively a "user beware" notice.

So today I applied a couple of updates and I "think" that Beautiful Widgets was the last prior to seeing "Geolocation Problem: Location does not exist"

What the deuce!!!! Never have had to do that before.
Thanks for letting me know najaboy, would have never figured out the reason. Would have fixed it without knowing as I use maps all the time, just wouldn't have known what fixed it.
OK, spoke to soon. It didn't pop up but this time I got an explanation somewhat... Still don't know how to fix it:
I just got this message for the 1st time (traveling on business). I just closed this message, and it picked up the right location immediately. I have it on airplane mode during the day since I can't get signal where I am during the day, so the phone + GPS might have been in a confused state.
I got the message once yesterday, and now since 3am EST It keeps giving me this error message. Even with GPS on AND opening Google Maps.
PS - Also, I read on Androidforums something about checking the alternate geocoder, but that option is greyed out for me.
PPS - I changed from Accuweather to Google Weather and it seems to be working now.
I have the same issue .. switching to GOOGLE for weather seems to fix the issue but I dont think it is providing the correct location as accuweather did
any fix?
Interesting, never seen that...I kinda want it to happen just to be like, ha, I don't exist right now.
I have the same problem with something fix for me
First of all I'm sorry for my English as I'm from Thailand
I got the exactly same problem and I tried many way to fix it out and what is work for me is
I go to application, Manage Application, and clear the Data for Beautiful Widget
Then I remove the home widget and Add the beautiful home widgets again and set the weather service for Accuweather then thing just come up and the problem just fixed
This is work for me.
Cheers
This is a year old thread bud, safe to say this isn't a common problem.
Hi all,
I am being frustrated now for how things went with the unlock app from ChevronWP7.
I mean, it's really disappointing. First, the tool obviously had\still has some bugs.
As you know, it's a pain to even making it to show the 'Enter token' screen. Then you enter a 'queue' of hundreds of people.
It was promised before release that this queue won't take more then few minutes to complete.
The tool is not free so I was expecting some professionalism.
I am really curious to know how many managed to unlock their phone. 1% maybe?
What exactly did ChevronWP7 Labs had in mind with this tool anyway?
No wonder MS gave them their bless to ChevronWP7 Labs to release such tool which is in competition with MS own tool which 100$\year !. It doesn't work.
Please vote on the poll.
Thanks!
I'm not happy either.
First time I ran it, it came up with error saying it needed Windows Phone Support v2 and gave a link. Unfortunately you couldn't copy paste it so I had to type out the link manually. Download and installed it. The app ran fine.
Waited whole day to go from 180 to 0 and then it said I needed to enter pin and unlock my phone. The app asked me to this this when I first connected the phone so I thought this issue was done and dusted! When I clicked retry, it said "Connection issue" on the bottom left. After that it seemed to have reset itself and when I clicked unlock I was #680+ in line!
There must have been a better way to do this. And how do less that 1000 people put so much stress on the servers?
I will respond when I have passed 116 people

I am doing on a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with a fresh install of all the requirements for ChevronWP7 Labs + I have made sure my screen doesn't switch off or lock so that I am 110% sure that other peoples mistakes haven't been made but it is day 1 of this service so could just be teething issues
I have already posted about this in my Google+ profile, but Twitter notifications have not been working for quite a long time on my Galaxy Nexus, across a wide variety of AOSP based ROMs. Whenever I try to change my notification settings, I get the message "there was a problem updating notification settings".
Anyone else experience this or know how to fix it? I've already tried clearing out all my partitions and stuff, and as an FYI, I always do a full wipe before installing any ROM.

Notifications have been broke for me also mate. Frustrating as hell, in addition when I tweet and go @ it does not load my full list of contacts.
Edit: btw when this became an issue someone suggested removing and adding my acct again and this did work temporarily. Maybe you can give it a try, might help you.
FYI, the solution was given to me. Turns out you have to sign out of the account, revoke access to the app through Twitter.com and sign back in.

OMG it works. Thank you for this. I can't believe I failed to come across. As I said earlier wiping acct and signing in did work.
So, I was flashing 4.2 onto my yakju GNex (wanted a fresh install rather than doing the OTA update), which all went well. Anyway, I was doing the initial phone setup, and got to the Wi-Fi configuration page. I chose to skip connecting to a network, and was quite surprised to see this message:

I know most of you probably don't know Swedish, but you should be able to see the hilarious mistake. Or is it a mistake? This doesn't happen if the phone is set to English, so maybe the Swedish menu translator has just been having a bit of fun.
But yeah, thought that was pretty funny and worth sharing.

What's it say? I see iPhone but what does it exactly say?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
All I got was "warning! Eventually operators for data traffic can......"
"configuration of iPhone can...."
I don't know Swedish, just sounding out the spelling.
It says:
"WARNING! Any carrier fees for data transfer may apply.
Configuration of the iPhone may require significant network activity."
You get the same message (although not worded exactly the same) if the phone is set to English, but without the "iPhone" in it.
"Any operator charges for data traffic may apply. Configuration of the iPhone may require significant network activity."
I like the text on the accept and decline buttons better. I don't speak Swedish but Google Translate does.
I know its capable since the update before last but getting it to actually work is a pain.
It will set a calendar event but it doesnt seem to get any of my date and time information. What it will do is set a calendar even for the next half hour block and then put the time/date and subject in the description.
So "Create an event for Thursday at 6 PM for a Haircut" I will end up with an event in fifteen minutes titled "thursday at 6pm for a haircut."
This seems to be the only feature in Voice Actions/Google Now that I cant seem to get to work. Everything else understands what I want wonderfully.
I did some searches but all I get back are old threads about how it wasnt supported prior to the update and/or doing it through the text trick.
First say set event for Thursday, wait for day to open and
Then say the event or type it out.
This should come up

This works for me ->
"schedule a haircut for Thursday at 6pm"
Thank you! That actually worked.
Edit: Tried it a few times, works reliably.
No problem! Would appreciate it if you can press the "thanks" button for me.
Ah, was on "XDA Classic" theme and it doesn't show the thanks button. Updated and thanked.
