S5830 ICS camera fix/Patch

This is being done to help people who cannot download from box.com - all credit goes from Maclaw and the ICS team (https://github.com/GalaxyICS)
He is the patch
load onto SD card -
boot using Clockwork Mod
install from Zip from SD
reboot - there is your Camera (if you get an error just re-open the camera app) - though you wont have a preview, but the picture quality is Amazing

There's a video on YouTube sharing the link to download from mediafire!! But the camera doesn't have preview function. We only see black screen instead of what standing in front of the camera

You better be joking...
This has been discussed so many times.
They fixed the camera, you can take pictures, but there is no preview... They haven't fixed this Yet.

Never i liked to play in a public debate, and i don't like your reply.
But I see only a black image on my display and can't not take a picture
"wtf".....
.......Rather it is better without the comments.

You see only black coz the preview isnt working yet for the stock camera. Sheesh dude I advice you to read more.

Hi everyone!
I'm searching around the browser and couldn't find bravia engine for jelly bean s2! but out of my expection, i found even better, the bravia engine 2!
FOR JELLY BEAN S2 4.1, 4.2.
I don't know it will work or not, but you can give it a shot, I tried on my jb rom, seems to have a slightly difference from the color. The screen looks more colorful especially the yellow color. Working flawlessly.

Go for the original link and there's a nice screenie over there
The reason why I dont have screenies is because that i can't see any effects using screenshots when on my pc, I think this bravia engine is a engine that probably monitoring the screen's display and color?

thanks. so, i assume that this engine is something like a colour calibration on phone's screen? a colour profile i guess?
does it work on any 3rd party gallery app or just the stock gallery app of the rom?

I read that it works on JB 4.1.x.
Work on miui roms too? Miui v5 its based on 4.1.2

Mates sry for the ultimate late reply, I was on my exam... Btw, hmm I guess it will work since I tested it on stock sammy and cm10. But If you want to try it pls make sure you make a backup and flash it like a boss :good:

Hello guys, i'm here to show the best camera apk that i've ever used in my nexus 4. The best thing about it is that its remember the configuration, so we only have to configure this once.
So, the name of apk is snap camera version 3.5.3
You guys will set the focus to continuous
Contrast to plus 3
And saturation to plus 3 either.
Take a look of a comparison between stock camera and snap with this configuration
I'm not the owner of this product, im just spreading it. You can find it in play store.

Thanks. Just took some photos with it. Seems OK. There are tons of these HDR cameras. I've a few and going to do full test. The pics I've taken so far are nice and sharp. I've got my screen set to the LG setting which helps. Have to see what prints are like 10x8 is the test...

Yes, there is a lot of hdr cameras apk. But in this i dont turn the hdr on. I just set this configuration talked and i have a better picture than hdr, without shutter lag. In continuous focus is nearby zero shutter lag.

I never liked google stock camera apk. Neither its image quality. But I had not found any app that was simple and worth using as this one.

Have you taken a look at the Focal beta? It used to be in CyanogenMod. Despite the negative reviews, it works flawlessly on my Nexus 4. The interface is clean, not cartoonish.

Er no thanks. I took one look at the photo, and they are the same except that the second one is over saturated. You can turn the first photo into the second one easily in Picasa using the vibrancy tool.

I know that i can do that with any pic editor like picasa, but i dont want waste time doing that. Moreover, this settings works for photo and video.

to be honest, i dont like the look of the second picture at all.

Excellent settings.. I can't recall since when i have got this camera app but didn't find much difference in image quality so never uses it. But with the settings defined by you.. M loving the result now. This second pic looks excellent. A little over saturated but definitely better than stock. Thank you maxy!

Just saw a change in camera app. HDR mode is not available for 13MP and 9MP modes. And minor improvements in picture quality.

You cannot enable HDR mode if u use camera in 13MP or 9MP.

[MOD] Use the Front Earpiece as a Second Speaker

This mod will activate you front earpiece speaker in conjunction with the rear main speaker any time Speaker mode is used for example playing music, watching movies, shows, you tube and so on, creating an almost surround sound type of effect. There will be two zips to flash in this post and they are as follows:
Surround.zip to activate the surround effect.
Revert To Stock.zip to stock speaker functions.
STEP 1: Download the Surround.zip and also Revert To Stock.zip. (Optional).
STEP 2: Boot to Recovery.
STEP 3: Navigate to the Sound Mod Zip of your choice and flash it.

what the op said is true but if you are using chrome on your phone for the download you need to request desktop site on the settings and you will see the download icon
btw this just gon work on stock roms? i want to try on custom ones

I didn't set a very loud volume so I don't think this could damage the earpiece, I'll investigate the better value to choose
