Hello,
Every torch app Ive been using disent turn on my camera flashlight, nether the camera filming/taking pics.
Using AOKP M4, and the build in torch function dosent work there either.
I know my flash works because it went on for a millisecond and then off.

Try asking in the thread for your AOKP ROM.

Tiny Flashlight works well for me.
I'm liking "Your Flashlight - Torch - ICS".
I used telsa for a while and it works perfectly but I switched to tiny flash light because of the features that it has. I didnt even think of some of the features it offers, for example you can 'shake' your phone in the lockscreen and it will turn on the LED light.
I found tiny flashlight to have less delay when switching it on than Tesla. I use Tiny Flashlight because of this. I will definitely be testing others.
Try flashlight+led

I was wondering if there is any tweak to take pictures using the volume rocker instead of the on screen button?

I know there is an app I used back in the day called Vignette, and there was an option that allowed shutter control using the volume rocker, but I am not aware of a mod or anything that allows this with the stock camera app.
Aokp ROM has this feature. But it's ICS atm. Their first jb nightly is out, but it's not 100% complete. Wait a little untill a fully featured and stable jb build emerges and you should be all set.

Hello everyone.
Does anyone noticed, when you going to take a picture with any camera app, you'll see that the flashlight will turned on. But, at the second time, flashlight will turn on more brighten then the first one.
My question is, Is there any app will do the same as the camera? I mean, the app that will turn the flashlight more brighten as the camera app did.
I've tried to find it at the Play Store, but the result the flashlight isn't bright as the camera app did.
Any Ideas?? :fingers-crossed:
Sorry for my English..
Same like me....

Hmmm have you tried using a stock rom?
Auto focus doesn't work for me either. it SEEMS to be working on video mode, but definitely doesn't work on photo mode. I believe it has never been working for me, and I always thought why doesn't samsung phone camera autofocus well like my low end HTC phone (HTC One V). I'm on AOKP nightly, which is actually pretty stable right now.
On HTC phone, even when just previewing the pictures to be taken, it autofocuses when the camera gets closer to an object, but this one doesn't do anything. When I press the shutter button, it takes and sometimes focuses correctly, sometimes blurry (especially when too close to the object, which is not a problem with HTC phone). I can long press the shutter key and i will be able to see if it focuses or not before releasing the key, but why doesn't this adjust right away when preview is shown without touching the shutter key?
