Has anyone verified the working of Xperia arc UI port? it includes launcher icons and timescape. I tried it the launcher is working it is smooth as hell as smooth as miui if not more the animations are great looks awesome but the timescape crashes time to time I am putting pics below anyone interested? I can post the links and method.

Here is the file extract the zip file,
Copy the contents of each folder to system folder of phone using root explorer install timescape from app folder and reboot if you have any issues feel free to ask I will try to help you out.

Only with copying this files I don't got a working launcher. When I install some of the other modded ARC-Launchers and copy your files (and install timescape - 2 of them works - 1 of them I got Install-Error) I've got FC every few seconds. Also a restart doesn't change anything.
Copying all the files across worked for me however when phone 1st starts i get a twitter fc and if i want to use the facebook timescape i get fc as well. Still playing around but looks good. Thanks

hey to mod of this thread. i have to point out some of things for you as to why you guys are gettin' fc'ses all the time.i use to be an x10 owner and i can tell you alot of things to it. 1. you're missing awhole lot of plugin's from sony's phone such as timescape twitter, timescape facebook, timescape messages and w/e other are there. as far as porting is concerned it won't be possible because those plugins and timescape is sony coded software, unless you wanna take a crack at it and look into those codes .good luck it won't be fun i can tell you that. you're gonna have to rewrite the whole thing to samsung's codes + arc launcher and all or x10 same issue.. why are you gettin' f'cs well here's one open up the script of apk launcher and take a crack at fixing the screen resolution + all the shortcuts that are with it to be rewritten into samsung's phone. so there's the whole explaination to this. if i can do anythin' ill try but can't gurentee it b/c im still trying to work through alot of things in apks and all, like editing and so ive not got to scripts yet.
I was a x10i owner too before it was stolen this is the reason why I love timescape i did not think this was necessary because it worked for me without this too but if you are facing problem then —
1. change in build.prop
ro.product.manufacturer=xxx
to
ro.product.manufacturer=Sony Ericsson
and add
ro.semc.timescape_keys=Sony_Ericsson_Xperia
You will find above "build. Prop" in root directory-system
Use root explorer preferably

This works pretty well. Can't use the Facebook or Twitter plug ins though. Also tried to install the Arc launcher (which looks better IMHO) but it wouldn't install at all.

I saw a thread the other day with the different things to edit in Text Editor to get the PlayStation Store app to run on Xperia Play. However, the screenshots in the instructions were different to my build.prop file and I could only edit a few of them (I undid any changes before I screwed everything up)
I'm going to upload a screenshot of my build.prop file and would be grateful if someone could help me with this

Yeah bro I was just happy to ditch that att animation myself, was glad this came available.
Actually the "sounds" refer to the ringtone and notification included in the .rar file. No sound for the bootanimation. I'm looking through the rest of the system for any other usable stuff but most is the same already contained in our ics. I'll keep looking, eb

I tried the Home.apk and HomeAdd.apk, didn't really notice any difference.
Also tried the SystemUI, and it works fine. Just like the GX systemui, you get the LTE symbol back and the stock notification toggles.
I also tried to see if I could bring in the small app stuff, but can't get it to work. After doing some reading, it looks like the framework needs to be modded to get these working. Unfortunately this is beyond my skill at this point.
Calendar is the same.
Tried the SemcPhone but it crashes on receiving a call. I think there is more involved than just replacing the apk, idk. But I do know the T's SemcPhone is a bit larger than the Ion's so I'm guessing there could be some changes/differences/improvements.

Yeah, the "Home" apk is exactly the same if you look at size and date. There's just not enough difference yet in the rest to constitute the effort, for me that is. However I was looking through the frameworks and noticed what looked liked status bar toggles. Is that what you're talking about? Does the "T" have toggles? That would be the **** and well worth porting. eb

Yes, the T's SystemUI has built in toggles (not customizable) just like the GX's did. I just copied to system, set permissions and copied over my existing in system/app. I'm using it right now and works fine on the Ion. If anyone is going to try this back up your existing systemui up first.
I'm using the T's SystemUI from the deodexed dump on my deodexed 233fw.

I should also note that I'm using Home and HomeAdd from the deodexed T dump also. As you said they're probably not any different than the Ion's, but in case anyone tries and runs into problems, keep that in mind.

- Qvoice
- Memo (aka note pad)
- INTERNET BROWSER
- TV
- Videos
ATT version only has the following:
- Calculator
- Calendar
- Videos
- Note pad
Now while I could understand ATT cutting out "TV" since that's a korean thing... but why the %#&!~ would they deny us the Internet browser as a Q-slide option?

Probably to make room for their own cruddy apps. Wouldn't you be able to pull the apks and sidload them or push them to /system/app and change permissions on the Att version and have it work?

I wonder if we can take that from the international verison and add that to ours .... Can we get someone to look into it ? I know MadMack was able to remove wonder if can setup way to add that QSlide

No .. u need to download the lg optimus g pro system dump.. copy the .apk of the browser(or any missing app) and paste it in system/apps ( of course u need root access) .. that wont brick ur phone as far as i know ... if the browser doesnt work u can simply delete it.. easy **or u could simply copy it to sd card and install it normally .. should work also**

Can anyone with a rooted international version of the phone look at system/apps and check if there is the .apk of the browser ... if there isnt then it would probably be in the lgsystemui.apk

Your ebonics is hard to understand but I guess I get it now
So you downloaded a 3rd party app off the internet (instead of Google Play) to try and replicate the Q-slide browser function. While I appreciate the effort you put into it that "solution" is anything but a real solution for me.
I just hope someone can figure out how to add this needed function back into Q-slides :fingers-crossed:

So you're saying it might be how the lg systemui apk is not allowing the browser to function as a qslide?
If you haven't tried already, replace both the lgsystemui.apk and the browser apk with the ones from the international dump and see if it works then. Just rename the original .apks as .baks so you won't loose them in case. Also don't forget to change permissions.

I did the browser LG_browserJB.apk and well the browser just crashed on me..and i was comparing both versions of it.. looking for anything with floating lol ...com.lge.floating.res.apk in frameworks i also was comparing them and nothing different ...lol So was scared to do the systemUI didnt wanna brick the phone lol but i guess i can try both

Ok so i did and well completely erased the top status bar and now no drop down at all lol added the systemUI back in app folder and its not coming back ..ima try and reboot see what happens ....ok lol so rebooted got the status bar again ...

Yeah a reboot might, well essentially, reboot the systemui.

EDIT: Hold up, did you try to reboot with the new systemui apk and fixed permissions for it? You probably had to reboot with the new ui app since you essentially force stopped the old ui and never started it up again. The permissions should be set to rw r r r or just compare it to the original apk and edit accordingly

Hello everyone,
Well heres the deal i didnt feel like i had to install an extra app on my awesomely OG Pro in order to have cool fonts in it.
So after a quick search of the files i found the system_fonts.xml and started editting by simply replacing the .ttf files and permissions of these to rw-r-r i have successfully changed my fonts!
Here are the screen shots.
I am aware that is is nkthing really but i take pride on the looks of my phone.
If anyone posesses a nice looking .ttf file that they can provide links to or upload please post them here,
Ok so read this carefully.
the edits made to the xml file are mere name replacements.
if you often use a proccessing app on your phone and are in need to use font styles such as bold,italic or so.
you may need to provide a .ttf file for that style as well.
Now first thing of course is to unzip the files.
after you copy all of them into /system/fonts/
and change their permission to rw-r-r *note if you do not do this the fonts will not be displayed and the system will look for the fallback fonts*
after you have changed all of the permission for each font file.
take the edited sytem_fonts.xml file and replace it with the original in /system/etc for security purposes change its permissions as well.
after that reboot the phone and you should be good to go.
note that i picked the font "bleeding" to be first since some apps such as your broser (depending) on the one you use may not follow the fonts rules and may use the main font as it is the main font of all.
Also know that some fonts may display bigger than others please use whichever you feel more confortable with.
All the fonts provided were gathered from the internet i take no credit on the designing of such, as some may be missing characters i have not had the cahnce t test them all myself as i only used a couple of them.
Note that on the .zip i also provided the original .xml file in case you need it.
it the list is too long you can also edit the original as you choose but ALWAYS remember to check the permission.
Let me know if you encounter an issue, and if you do replace the .xml file to the original one and wait for someone to help you.

system_fonts.xml you could place the file you edited and copy the fonts used in a zip. Please
cooltext.com and then select fonts at the top.
