I am looking to make this thread as a resource to use to remove all the crap. I am not sure if AT&T people have to keep some of this crap on there for it to run right but I want all bloat minimized to the MAX. I will update this as people comment what they removed without any problems afterwards.
I’ve gone on an uninstalling spree making sure to make backups first since titanium recommended it. Not sure if and what will have detrimental effects but I will learn when it happens. ROM has been running smooth and fast, no crashes, radio, or button problems so far.
Uninstalled so far through Titanium Backup:

On the main screen go to "Backup/Restore". You will then get a list of apps that are installed on the system. To remove simply tap on one and hit "Un-Install!"
There are a few more apks that start with the letters SNS that can also be uninstalled or frozen. I uninstalled all SNS apks with no issues.

Great Idea
Thanks for making the list of crapware we can remove safely. Its pretty awesome how everybody is really helping out. I dont know what I would do without the amazing people here at XDA! Its crazy that the devs on here spend so much time improving our phones without asking for anything except a "thannks" or the occasional donation. These guys deserve a round of applause! Thank You
small tip, im not sure if its the paid version or not but if you guys dont wanna risk messing up you phone by doing this, try to just "freeze" the apps instead of actually uninstalling them.
Oh for sure..I always just freeze. Good tip though.

I dunno why someone hasn't already posted a "bloat free" rom...i mean obviously the devs know its an at&t rom, is it that difficult to spend 3 more minutes removing apk's before posting

Because they're busy making the rom work? it was just released man...
I understand that they would want to make everything work first before they test and remove certain apps which might break it. Yes they know some apps are considered bloatware but priorities... Maybe some people could find some use in some of the bloat. Wouldn't the dev find it easier to have everyone else uninstall what they don't want instead of having people whining about something missing?
BTW this is a PORT, usually ports have everything that it came with.
Yea thanks I got tid if all of the non needed stuff. Thanks for the list.

I'd actually just flash Juggernaut as Team Kang removed all bloat for you and lets you reinstall those you may want again with Bloater (installed after you flash).

Dont listen to them, its a good valid question....but I would say you use your own judgment, Use TB to delete or freeze apps you dont think you are not going to use.
If you do a search there is a post,I don't remember where, but it has a spreadsheet of everything you"need" for the phone to work. Everything else is only needed if it pertains to an app you use or need. You will have to do some reading, it is an apk spreadsheet. It will answer your question better than me trying to type the 40 things I delete on almost every ROM. In fact I would love to see some of these new roms come in a "vanilla" form, and then I can add what I want. I came from the international version of this phone, so I am spoiled with all the development..

Well now that you're rooted why not flash a rom?
Most roms have all the unwanted apps removed already.
Another way if you're not sure is go to your app drawer, find the ones you don't want and just freeze those.
Example: I don't use Media Hub, T-Mobile ID, All share, Wifi Sharing, etc. So I go ahead and freeze those.
Its all personal preference.
Good luck.

I would use eaglesblood. It is vanilla. Or at least I think it is he uses launcher2 with his own tweaks. I love eaglesblood donniqcc is one of the best devs out there in my opinion. It is by far the best ROM on the G2x I was soooo happy when I saw that he made one for the sgs2. The only thing is it is still in the early stages I think only version 1.0 right now but he is working on an update I cant wait. He is supporting 3 phones so it will take some time but once he gets goiong there is no stopping him. But it definitely has a vanilla feel to it.

I am not being rude or anything but eaglesblood is not vanilla. I looked at his rom, all he did was take the stock rom and place Launcher2 inside. A true vanilla rom is built from google source tree (AOSP) and takes a long time to build from. The closest thing to vanilla is CM roms which still are not even vanilla because Cyan puts his own stuff in there. If you want to know what true vanilla is look back to the phone that started it all the G1. That phone is a true vanilla phone. He does have a great rom and I agree for somebody who wants no bloatware they can try that. But yo say its vanilla is inaccurate. Sorry completely off topic, didn't mean to sound rude just clearing things up. People use the term vanilla rom so loosely these days....if you have been around since the G1 you know what vanilla.

Because it's none of sprint's GD business if I want to watch netflix, hbo go, surf the web, or do anything else that I would do anyway, on the bigger screen of my tablet when I'm on the road.
I found another reason to root a "perfectly good phone" last night. For the past few days I was getting strange instances where the phone would seem to freeze up and then I would get an error of "Unfortunately, TestService has stopped. [OK]". I also noticed that I could no longer copy / paste text.
It seems that there is a bug that can cause the clipboard to become full or corrupted. There are only two known ways to correct the problem:
- Factory Reset,
- Empty the clipboard folder (Root required)
I am relieved that a maddening few days is over and my phone is working normally again.

I thought it would've happened months ago, frankly. The widespread use of these apps had finally reached a threshold for Google to make a decision about this.
The apps will still be available for sideloading, to those who are inclined. The biggest oversight seems to be the fact that these ad blocking apps help to make web browsing a lot more enjoyable (and faster, and cheaper on data costs). I hope that a fundamental change is made to allow for in-app ads while blocking internet ads (as of now, the hosts file is manipulated and is therefore not possible).

I suspect that a reasonable way to handle this is: remove apps that have the sole purpose of manipulating the hosts file, and issue warnings to developers of apps which do the hosts stuff as one of multiple root functions.
They would probably be okay if they only blocked web ads. Blocking app ads, surprised these were ever allowed.

They aren't saying the end user can't block ads they just arent providing the tools to do it.
It boils down to ads make people money. All the apps that have ads make that developer money so they can offer their app for free in most cases.

I love the Note... the big screen, powerfull quad-core processor, 4G LTE... Huge 3,100mAh Battery... I like Samsung TW too...
But yes, that is all i use my phone for... CALL/TXT/WEB... VIDEO/GAMES PLAY... DOWNLOAD FILES AND MOVIES...
I dont use S Pen, dont make sketches or notes by hand, dont use Swipe or WiFi calling, I only synch my contacts with Google... nothing else... so i dont need any other features/elements of the stock 4.1.2 TW ROM so i deleted everything that isnt of use for me and that i know it wont crash the OS or give me FCs of the stuff i use...
Makes the ROM small and snappy, and gives me exelent battery life, almost next to none battery drain...
So before you bash me, consider that there are mybe other users just like me that dont need all the extra features running in the background, and want the best possible battery life...
I am posting screenshots of 4 pages Titanium Backup w the elements my ROM runs, 39 in total only, when you first load TB on a stock ROM it will read 250+ elements !!!
Before you freeze/delete anything, please make sure you wont need that service... for example, dont delete GoogleCalendarSynch if you use the calendar to make/synch notes and appointments...
You need some basic knowlege of what is what, and just freeze first and see if all your things you use are working properly...
I just decided to share the minimum elements to run properly the stock ROM and get the best battery with close to none drain when you dont use your phone...
OK, here is how my Titanium Backup looks like after i deleted every single element i do not use:

Hah yes sold the Blaze $170 got a nice Note 2 w 32GB card for $340, call it a good deal time to get me some LTE goodness i thinks haha.
I even factory reset the phone after deleted everything... to clear the caches and stuff...
Works just fine, the only thing i notice, i had to go to the Mobile Networks and change the APN name from the etc one to the fast, as i deleted all the pre config things from the ROM i assume it wasnt set automaticly, so phone didnt conected to the network automaticly...
Not sure if it was for the note 2 or note 1 but it was an aroma flash file that let u delete all the bloatware

this is really useful. good to know that all the com. stuff are useless and can be frozen. was there any list you went by to see what each element is for? i remember there was a list available when i was using the s2, but haven't seen one for the note 2.
does anyone know which ones are needed for wifi calling? i need to keep those.
and also my phone keeps thinking it's new and keeps giving me info on how to swipe to unlock phone after every restart, is there anyway to stop that? i removed most of the stuff like the op, but is having this issue. pretty much my only problem aside from wifi calling.
This interests me greatly and i'd like to know if you just freeze the unused apps or completely un install them\

OK, Here you guys can talk about what you miss about root or current conspiracy theories (Is he a troll or isn't he?). You can talk about the latest movies, the plots of Gotham or The Flash, your cat or dog...whatever you want within the rules..meaning behave and be nice. We can change the title of the thread once you hopefully get root. So let the Root Progress thread be for those subscribed to root talk, and let it be a more on topic thread...you guys got this thread...and who said you can't have nice things? You can if you take care of them. Have fun all!!!!
Cheers
Kenny

Nobody has received anything yet. Give it a couple days. People are already trying to get in touch with him to help him out.

The last thing he said without directly quoting was he was working on a app I belive. My guess is he just wants to package it up nice and neat to eliminate people brick in their device
I just want to say thanks to all the devs working on root. I just want to make sure of something. Has it been confirmed that we can revert from 5.0 to 4.4.4 with odin? I would like to take the update to play with 5.0, but I want to make sure I can revert when root it achieved.

For AT&T users it has been confirmed I don't know about Verizon (does it even have Lollipop yet?)

Thanks. I just found the thread with the revert instruction.
As I'm on AT&T I updated and really have nothing good to report
Have had poor battery life and random freeze and reboots since

Maybe you need to do a factory reset. As For me no issues at all battery life is awesome here with no root yet i get about 1 day 4hrs on battery life and sot about 4hrs and half.

First thing I tried
It was a pain over an hour to set everything back up
I will add after factory reset it said SD ext was damaged
Fixes that by copying everything to laptop format card and copy back to card
