You should recalibrate your battery: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...xLDEsImNvbS5uZW1hLmJhdHRlcnljYWxpYnJhdGlvbiJd
With that app you can calibrate your battery. You have to be sure it's fully charged; let your phone plugged in for 1 hour after it says that it's fully charged, then unplug it-->open the app --> (it needs root!) click calibrate --> now let your battery fully discharge and after that fully load without break till 100. Your battery is calibrated

Yes, you have to reboot to let the theme take full effect.
What is exactly the bug with soft buttons?

Just install it. Your phone will bootloop AUTOMATICALLY 2-3 times and then everything is ok. All you have to do is just mount system and data, install it, and reboot from recovery mode.

I've updated from 1.26.0 to 1.27.0 and I've lost the shortcuts on the lock screen. I've been in the customisation screen and tried swapping lock screens (to photo stream etc) and changing what the shortcuts are just in case that'd bring them back. Neither of those worked though.
Any ideas?
Did you do a full wipe before updating?

It is what the devs recommend. Try flashing again after doing a full wipe

I've just tried that and it's generally not working too well for me. The lock screen shortcuts have returned but there's lots of force closes and general lag. I've just returned to the prior version using a backup I made pre-update.
Thanks for your help anyway.

After doing a full wipe and flashing a sense rom, you need to let it settle in. After the initial boot there is a lot going on in the background.

After reading this I reinstalled the latest version. Again the lock screen short cuts had returned but I was getting several force close issues. Turns out that it was crashing when trying to sync with my Google Calender. I disabled the sync for it and now it seems to be working fine.
How to edit lock screen
I'd like to edit lock screen on unity virtuous v2.39.0, i mean, it will be better if i could unlock directly to an app and not only to calls an sms

Thanks datrapstar... but that was one of the first thing I did.
Also wiped dalvik.
Before making any changes, I backed up the rooted stock ROM.
So we restored it... still has the no shutdown issues.

1. If you haven't yet, download DARKSIDE.CACHE.WIPE from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477955 . Make sure you download cache.wipe, NOT super.wipe, because super.wipe will clear your data.
2. Remove the battery and put it back in.
3. Go into ClockworkMod, or whatever customer recovery you use. To enter it, hold vol up&down together, while pushing power to turn the phone on, and continue holding the volume buttons the whole time until your CWM comes up.
4. Flash DARKSIDE.CACHE.WIPE, reboot, let phone sit for 5-10 minutes, and done.
I've tried doing the cache wipe though, even multiple times after the first few tries, and I still get shutdown hang/freeze.
I am new to the custom rom thing but I am loving it because I was about to throw this phone away "Xperia S" but after playing around with roms and kernels I am back to liking my phone again. My question is related to the battery, I added the PAC rom V18 and I also added the Nova kernel V5 but my only complaint is the battery is drained very fast that it doesn't go through the day, I am an average user so I don't listen to music or watch movies. Is there a solution or a kernel that can improve the battery life.
Thanks

Follow these steps:
1. Use your battery to 0%
2. Charge it to 100%
3. Go to CWM > Advance
4. Wipe Battery Stats.
5. Fix Permissions (This may take sometimes).
6. Again use your battery to 0%
7. Again charge it to 100%
I looked for wipe battery data in the advanced tab in CWM recovery but I didn't find it

try to disable some things like
-google location services and GPS satellite in "location and security" settings
-use 3G connection only when needed
-reduce device brightness in "display" settings
-use adrenaline engine 4.4 script,it will gives you major amount of good battery life and gives you a better performance.
-delete some useless system apps when not needed,it will gives you better battery life+better performance

why don't you try install cm 7, 9, or 10, they are very stable and better than stock rom in performance.
if you use your phone a lot for playing games it does eat the battery no matter what rom you install.
