I have problem on my Xperia Play. I instal CM9 FXP112 and my battery was discharged in 5 hours. I used Darkforest CM9 kernel. So what can i do with it? (sorry for my english)
Developers are working on it! The next FXP/Darkforest releases should start to improve battery performance.
Disable Wi-FI if you are not using, that is the problem. Prevents the phone from going into Deep-sleep mode.
i had it disabled, killed apps by fast reboot but again, about 5 hours and battery was discharged. It is same problem with battery in CM7?

I am experiencing the same, was running doom v10 before and it would consume 1% per 2-3 hours. With v11 it is 1-2% per hour. Have checked cpuspy and it is running 98% in deepsleep and battery history only show the usual cell standby as power consuming.
Have only been running v11 since yesterday but will probably go back to v10 due to the battery drain.

Check what apps is running on your background and close the apps that you didn't want.
Or try some battery saver apps

I bought my phone before 5 months I think the battery is good!!
After flashing cm9 I had this problem
Yeah. It is true. The first time flashing should drain your battery fast. You should wipe battery stats via CWM and calibrate your battery using the app in Google play. Remember to follow the instructions of the calibration. You should let your battery totally drained after the calibration. And recharge it to be fully 100% without touching it before it reach the full charge. You should make it that way 4 times. It will make your battery get used to it and become normal again. At least, the battery will not drain fast. AND ONE MORE, DO NOT COMPARE THE BATTERY USAGE BETWEEN CM9 AND STOCK, BECAUSE THEY ARE DIFFERENT. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE LONGER TIME WITH THE BATTERY, JUST REVERT BACK TO STOCK ROM. THAT SHOULD DO IT. FOR ME, WHEN I WAS IN STOCK THE BATTERY LAST LIKE 20 HOURS. IN CM9 IT ONLY REACH 16 HOURS. COUPLE HOURS DIFFERENT. BUT IT IS OK FOR ME.

but I should make wipe battery stats via CWM 4 times and calibrate 4 times?
or I should make wipe once then calibrate 4 times?
Please answer me to start doing that..

IMO Wiping battery stats and calibrating are the same functions. You don't need to wipe again if you already calibrate just waste of time.
Calibrating battery also wipe the battery stats. Just wipe / calibrate once i guess (correct me if wrong) because i always did once and there's no problem with my battery (drains too fast)
Hope it helps

Screenshot from Monday AM. Please ignore the mobile network signal bar, every version of Cyanogenmod 10 I've used has the same problem where it stops logging data after about 10 - 15 hours, but my phone does pretty much always have at least 2 bars of signal where I live and work (split about 60/40 between 2G & 3G/HSDPA)
If it helps, here are the cpu states for the last 55 hours useage:

The best battery saving rom is CM9 with the older 2.6.35 kernel. So for example Arcos CM9 RC2 or RC3, the older Slimbeam ROM or this mentioned SmoothieICS. (The other two ones are just modified and themed CM9 RC2 or RC3) For even better results you need an undervolting 2.6.35 Kernel.
My battery for example lasts 3-5 days with CM9 RC2 and Arcos stock kernel. With my personal uv kernel it lasts even more.

But smoothieics claims it has deep sleep implemented xD. Any way I can get a hold if your custom kernel?

Sure. Just drop me your e-mail via PM and I will compile one with stock voltages you then can adjust with incredicontrol to your needs. It´s because my kernel is preset to extreme undervolting voltages and that might be to much undervolting for your cpu.
Btw Arcos kernel has also deep sleep implemented and all custom kernels are basing on arcos kernel, so not only SmoothieICS is going into deepsleep but all custom roms are doing it as well.

your awake time to screen on ratio suggests to me that your battery life could be far better than it currently is! download WLD or wakelock detector and see what is keeping your phone awake so frequently =). Then u can get greenify to hibernate the app when u r not actually using it =D

Unfortunately the two main culprits are K9 email and ebay, both of which are pretty important for me to have running and not in a hibernated state.
However, from the last charge on my phone I have got 2 days, 4 hours, 29 mins with 12% battery remaining - so could be worse I suppose
Thanks for the suggestion though :good:

Now I'm using EHNDROIDX 4.4.2 and I think it's good!
Hi,
since a week I have the rom on my xperia pro. It is very fast, no problems. Only bad battery life. I use the kernel from the zip, 3.4.62-nAa+ [email protected] Sep 26 2013.
Can you help me? Which 4.2 or 4.3 ROM is much better in battery life? Which kernel can I use with this roms?
Accu consumtion shows 55% display. The brightness is on minimum, like 15-20%, backlight for buttons off, backlight for keys 25%. Is this a true treshold (55%)? on my stock rom is was 5 - 10%.
Is there a principiell difference between speed/battery-life on 4.1/4.2/4.3 android versions?
Can I change kernel (I know how to install) without news rom installation or wipe all/data/factory? should I delete dalvik cache? Is it enough?
thanks a lot! I hope you hae tipps for better rom AND battery life
best regards
samu
Same problem here
I'm sorry, i can't give a solution,
furthermore i am looking myself for a reason.
I have exactly the same problem with my MK16i, same CM-Version since about a week.
With a maximum use of approx 20 minutes a day, the battery hardly lasts 24h!
What is this? I see no "big" background processes running. Display : 35-40%, hibernation/ idle: 35-40%.
As if something is working in the background to make me insane!

1. Please don't compare ROMs for battery life, test them out yourself as comparing of ROM is not allowed.
2. Either use kernel in ROM zip(img file) or Raven's Dark Kernel. No other kernel will work with CM10.1
3. You can change kernel without flashing a new ROM, but the kernel must be compatible with the ROM or it will not run.
4. To save battery life, turn off your data connection when not in use, dim the brightness of the display, kill all background processes.etc. Please search for ways to save battery life.

I use cm10.1 LegacyXperia with the darkKernel and with the Nova Launcher. Actualy I think this is best combination für performance, battery life and stability. I tryed beansteak 4.2, 4.3, LegaxyXperia 10.2 and others.
Please Try and tell us your opinion
Each time I restart my phone my battery lost like 8 or 10% of energy I have super fusion kernel the exclusive one for sjb 7.1 I've heard there is mayor battery life with fusion kernel 5.4 but I couldn't find it I have about a week whit this Rom let me know if someone knows something

Deleting battery stats file does not improve anything on your phone and it does not fix any issues either!
And restarting consuming more battery is normal, as phone is using more resources to load Android.

Thanx for the correction, Someguyfromhell. Just thought that was the only difference with my installation as my Arc S does not lose so much loading up with my many apps.Thanx still
I have also experienced big drain during reboot and specially when in CWM installing stuff or running/restoring backups. Out of that battery is just fine so I wouldn't worry :good:
try using kernel fusion 5.5/5.4
