MikFroyo 4.6 beta???

What exactly is this? Everyone keeps saying its a stock ROM... but I'm still not sure what to do to use it? Just flash over 4.5 and that's it? If someone could explain it to me..... hopefully... thank you!

its an odex mikROM... very fast ...looks stock but acts mik.. wipe then flash

it's ODEXED (smaller optimized packages) makes some things like boot up and loading apps faster. formerly known to not be able to optimize or theme. it looks stock but Mik has optimized and modded his 4.62b. which he states that in his opinion ODEX is faster than DEODEX (which is what most custom roms are).
now if you want to flash just nand back up and full wipe then flash the files of your choosing. MIK will be coming out with a ODEX base ROM thats fully modifiable, customized, theme-able should be sometime soon.
i have a sample of what it looks like themed in my sig. its very stable fast and great battey im using nets 4.3.4

Just follow the directions. Backup, wipe, flash. It's a ROM, treat it as such.

I flashed 4.6b2 its great for beta. But I would like the hotspot to work as it did in 4.5. But I'm sure its work in progress. Keep up the good work.

What beta does he have out i been looking all over to see if its out for a public testing. Anyone know where to find it.

The hot spot works from wat I see but it gives me a error code. Sry forgot to mention that. And HTC sense is starting to force close on me constantly now. Proxy going back to 4.5 till its out of beta or atleast next beta release

the beta? a few weeks ago. now the final is said to be sunday?? a fully themed, modded and mikoptimized ODEX yes odex ROM. its already out on the shift.

it worked in 4.6rc1 so should in final

I just saw it on a chinese forum,it's the offical MIUI for i9000(test version)
How to flash ?
1.Flash CM7 and make sure it runs well
2.Put the zip on your int-sd
3.Power off and reboot in to CWM 3.0
4.Do a factory reset
5.flash the zip
6.Reboot and enjoy miui.
Bugs:
1.Those bugs in the CM7
2.Ext-sd do not mount
Apps are in Chinese and you can try the English language pack or wait for the great devs to bring you the translated version
No,it's not the PROT of the miui on here......
It's all done by MIUI dev team and of course CM team.
I do not want to see some of you say chinese copy from others.Remember how many US national debt we have!!!
I had the i9000 miui nearly a month ago but i could not upload it because of the rules.
One miui tester broke the rules and uploaded the 1.3.26 version, i just let you guys know.
Link removed(i think the "miui dev team"here have already finished download.)

This is OUR port in a chinese forum I guess...look at the thread...it's talking about XDA and BETA 7 and has the same bugs of ours...

Yes mate i just installed it, rebooting now, let's see! File size is much smaller than ours.
EDIT: Boot animation is from Beta 2, let's see if anything else is different.
It is based on our port, but it's much more cleaner/faster and stable, SD card works, File manager doesn't crash, seems like they've tried to fix a few things.
EDIT2: Phone reboots when you apply a theme in theme manager. They've defo fixed a few things! This is good. We can tweak this package, change the boot anim etc to suit our needs.

Anyway, can we all move this discussion to the original MIUI thread, i'll edit it to include the official port as things are becoming official
Only thing that bothers me is they haven't credited us. We've done most of the legwork already for them.

Isn't it typical for the chinese to copy from other people and claiming they did the magic? But its nice to hear that they are making progress...

If I've not misread, he has uploaded version 26 of the official MIUI, but he is recommending XDA's port for its stability and bug fixes.
In fact he has nothing but praise for the version you guys have made So in short - great work!

Wow, this sounds exciting bro. I left the last MIUI because of some issues but depending on the outcome of this one I might be switching back lol. I just need to know how to set my APN and I might never go back to another rom after installing this one.

China overtook Japan this year to become the second largest economy. I am sure they achieved this with more than just copy and pretend.

Think there will still be a camera problem but who knows! ill download it and flash see what happens

To bad Hawst does not have the Hero anylonger, So deving on something like that is bloody hard.

I had a PM back from Hawst. He thinks we will still have HW problems as seen on the other 2.2 sense ports.
still we can live in hope?! I thought the MT3G was fairly similar to the Hero in terms of HW specs?

I have to agrre with hawst, i think the only rom it can be based on is chocolate froyo which still has no working camera.But still be nice to see it work.
MT3G aka Sapphire / Magic is pretty much the same NOT the Slide / Espresso.You can flash Sapphire (32A) roms on your hero and they more than likely boot but have limited hardware working

Yes you can with maybe some weird hardware bugs.. Soo my advice, DONT

Yea i wouldnt advise it, i flashed capyseo v7 the other day and it booted but no sound/camera/wifi or network..Im no dev so dont get your hopes up on me porting!

oh well, just trying to keep the hero alive until the Optimus 3D comes out

From what I understand:
a) Hero and Magic have a different camera....
b) The Camera doesn't even work on the magic w/ the capyseo v7 - I assume this one they can fix now that the MyTouch3G got an official sense ROM.

Yea i only flashed it to see if it would boot lol

Right managed to get it to finally flash without errors (WOOP WOOP) but i have no display and had to play with MTD partitions (dodgy) im waiting for firerat to come online so i can ask some Q's about patching mtd before i try anything more risky as i had increased the /system partition to 200 leaving 2mb on cache :/ and 1% space left on /system so untill i can get more i think there is nothing else i can do
On the plus side i managed to release a rom for the espresso lol

Great to hear, i'm still switching between sense 2.1 and stock 2.2, 2.3.
I find the sense interface great, but with 2.1 i missing some options that you have in froyo and gingerbread.

I feel the same but cant put my finger on what i like about sense 2.2?? Maybe that it says 2.2!

Yes there will be an update from Verizon/Htc to Ics/Sense 3.6 (I assume it will be 3.6) sometime in the future. No root required. When, hopefully before the new year.

AOKP build 32 with my Cam/Camcorder patch (within the last couple pages in general), aero's v9 kernel (rootzwiki cm9 unofficial thread), AGPS patch (somewhere in our dev section) and don't forget to flash the 3/17 gapps!

alright well im good with this stuff but not that good, i guess i would still be considered a noob :/

he stated he was going to release the kernel about a week ago but hasn't gotten around to it, and tbh i don't really wanna bug TDJ over something like this when i'm sure he's busy with ICS and what not.

I would wait for him to release it, or at least get his approval. Posting someone's work without their approval can cause a mess of drama and problems.
