I've just flashed the new CM 7.2.0 RC1 rom yet there's no bloody setup wizard with it. So now I can't log into my gmail account, i've also tried going to account and sync but it comes up with "setup exchange account" which it won't let me do.
For whatever reason there's no set up wizard with this rom.
I haven't flashed gapps with this rom, do I need to do that. If so can someone point me in the right direction I.E link please?
OR can someone tell me how I can put the setup wizard on. I put the Google Play on however I can't do nothing on that until I can sign in to my Gmail account.
You need to flash gaaps to get the setup wizard.

Ofcourse you have to flash the gapps. You can get them through rom manager or by the official cyanogenmod forum.

You need to flash the gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip. You can find it at the CyanogenMod website.

Hi I recently installed the cyanogen rom on my phone. I wiped the data and also the cache before installing the rom. I would like to know how to obtain the android market app. Also I cannot seem to sync my contacts when i try to add my gmail account. It says cannot connect to server. Can some one help me out?

I've just installed a new ROM onto my phone and I am unable to download ANYTHING from the Market! I've reflashed and everything. I figured it was a ROM related issue so I installed another ROM. It seems though the problem is my Google account itself. I created a new account and I can install everything just fine with this one. With my actual account though, I continously get the "<app name> could not be downloaded due to an error" message!
The ROMS I installed are Virtuous Rom: Unity and InsertCoin_Vision Sense2.1 + 3.
Like I said, the ROM doesn't seem to be the issue..my google account does! Any fixes please?

Well obviously its not the device..this site support device related issues, not issues with a certain email or google account. If the new on worked but your old one doesn't you need to check your account settings from google.com

Similar thing happened to me.
I tried out Virtuous Sense & G-Lite (can't get Unity to work). During the process I noticed under my default account, I couldn't download/update from the market.
I went back to stock 2.3.4 (rooted) and still had the same problem.
I'm now back to Cyanogen nightly builds and the problem still occurs.
Thank goodness for the new market since it lets us switch accounts. And I'm extremely thankful for Titanium Backup.
It's still a pain in the arse though, since I *can* get my device up & running initially by rigging it through my 'other' account, however I can't do market downloads/updates w/my default account.

I've got a problem after flashing a CyanogenMod on my Wildfire: I can't log in Google Play Store. I've checked for an answer, here and elsewhere: am I alone?
Here is my phone:
- ROM CyanogenMod 7.2, It worked with RC1, but with RC3 or Nightly 20120610, no way to log, freshly installed of course.
- Google Play 3.4.6 or 3.5.19, both installed from .apk from SD card, same problem. Application installed of course in internal memory, not extended nor on SD card.
- After or before MTD, same problem, tried both.
The application is correctly installed. I launched it and, then it asked me to add an account to go on. I select "Yes", of course, and the application close! Back to main screen.
I tried to manually add my Google account in "Parameters/Accounts and synchronisation/Add an account" (sorry, direct translation from french, I hope it's correct), but it only propose me to create a Exchange account.
What is wrong? What's the problem?
Have you flashed the full gapps rather than just installing the apk?

Yeh, cm7 aren't allowed any Google apps anymore for legal reasons, so you need to flash a zip first with all the files in. You'll then be able to connect to Google servers. http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip

i just flashed rom, Vicious-CM10-20120808-UNOFFICIAL-toro JellyBean 4.1.1
now i cannot sync my google calendar. my google account is there when i try to change setting by tapping my shown account, it says no calender.
i even removed google account and re-added but doesnt' work.
do i need something else?
this is my first time flashing this rom from stock ICS 4.0.4 (verizon)
BTW, I am loving this custom and learning it!

just installed the Android Revolution 8.1 on my new htc one m8.
but i got problems while i want to setup my google account.
when i want to log in on my account there comes an error message:
couldnt connect to google servers, pls try again later.
with an other rom everything works fine
maybe you got an idea how i can fix this ?

Remove google account and readd - or clean all Google services/framework/store cache etc then remove account reboot and re-add. Give it two minutes to settle and try again.
you have cell or wifi reception right? if no wifi, did you choose the right provider during install?
