I go on it after I load a rom it goes blank for a few sec then close down

Does it give you any popup boxes saying something along the lines of
Gameboid has closed unexpectedly
The process gameboid has become non responsive do you want to force close or wait?
If so that means its force closed, if it doesn't. It could be an application bug,

No it just close down but I used the same app on rempuzzle and worked on that rom

I got a similar problem, sometimes it resets without any warning.. i guess i could say bless the save states.

I'm definitely experiencing the same problem. I didn't get it in the older versions though.
Ditto. Same problem here
Just make sure you fully exit it. Press the back button until you get to your home screen, then you won't get the login pop-up appear.
Yes, the last version didn't have this issue for me.

Problems with HTC launcher crashing and other apps crashing

I'm having serious problems with my phone as of lately. I've flashed multiple different Roms and they all seem to follow the same steps of problems.
First when I flash a rom everything seems to work out really well. Then the HTC sense com.HTC.launcher starts to lag and then starts to crash more frequently coming in and out of turning the screen off. Then other programs stop working. Currently its setcpu and the powercontrol widget no longer work on top of HTC sense crashing and lagging.
Anyone ever hear of such problems consistently happening?

When this happens, do you see a white htc screen?

Help urgently needed

Hi
Ive got a desire running android 2.2 and its not letting me move any of my apps to the SD card. It gives the option but when I press the button it says failed to move application . Also it gets over heated and restarts itself seemingly at random. I've preformed 3 factory resets of the phone and the problems still remain
Can anyone help plz?

I'm guessing you have the unrooted HTC Rom. Not all apps can be shifted to sd card. Some which need to remain in memory like Widgets cannot be moved. I'm not sure of your overheating problem though.
Yh I know
The apps that I was able to me move before are failing to be moved now
I.dunno why .

Maybe the newer version of the same app has a resident portion in INternal..Not that it makes sense!
Sorry but wat ?
This isn't helping :S
Is there anyway to sort it out ?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
easiest is by rooting it, put in a custom rom with app2sd+ and problem solved, phone heating up even on standby might be because of background services of apps
For your rebooting problem it happens to a lot of HTC Desires its a problem with the motherboard. You will need to send it off to HTC to get it fixed.
Alright i guess I gotta send it to HTC then

Emulators randomly crashing

Anybody else having a problem where Gameboid and GBCoid keep randomly going back to the select rom screen? The apps aren't force closing either and when it does happen it says in the notification bar "Gameboid is running" as if I just pressed the home button or something. Other emulators such as N64oid or SNESoid don't do this either. Idk its just really annoying because the emulation itself is fantastic. If it helps I'm running Starburst rom v1.3 and the kernel it comes with but I don't think that matters because it was happening before I was rooted. Anyways thanks in advance for any fixes and sorry for the long post.

Happens to me. It's definitely something with the device. Ever since I started running midNIGHT rom v2 I haven't had a crash. Although I only tried it about 10 minutes
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Same with me. I'm on starburst rom and I can even play for 5 min without it crashing
Do you guys have any ideas on why this is happening or what we could do to fix it?

This also happens to me on stock. Kinda frustrating, but I have confidence it will be solved in the future.

That's strange. What ROM/kernel are you using? N64oid never crashes on me. (Except for certain roms, such as Zelda).
Stock rom and the latest zedomax kernel. It doesn't force close either.. Just ends the Rom and brings me back to the Rom selection screen.

this happens with just about any kind of game I play, not just emulators. any kind of tower defense game or plants vs zombies or anything that requires some sort of graphics. games like spades or dominoes or games with low graphical requirements seem to be fine. ive been rooted from day one and have always had a custom kernel and rom. my gf's e4gt was stock until about a week ago and her's did the same thing. you can play for 5 - 10 min then the games would just close. no FC, just close. battery temps rise as well when this happens. I wonder if its not a dodgy gpu or gpu driver?

Mine's the opposite. Runs fine on n64oid, Alchemy, Cut the Rope, and even Beats. But Gameboid and GBcoid both randomly crash (without prompting a FC.)
I believe I may have found the culprit, at least for me. I was having the same issue as many of you, SNESDroid would just go back to the main screen without a FC. Then while trying to play the same parts of the game all over again, I decided to fast-forward everything and I noticed for the longest time the game didn't crash on me. So I decided to try something out and disabled the sound in the settings menu. So far the game hasn't crashed on me. It's unfortunate that I don't get to hear anything though, but I'd rather play a quiet game that doesn't crash. Than hear some audio and have the game crash on me every 5 - 10 mins.

I will try this out when I can, but like others, why does it only do this with Gameboid and GBCoid and not the heavier emulators like N64oid?

Has anyone made any headway with this? I've tried a variety of tricks but Gameboid keeps crashing within 5 minutes of starting the game.
I've had the same problems with some emulators from the android market. They would crash within a mintue or two. So I uninstalled them and found NESoid and SNESoid. They last longer but they still crash with no FC message. I'm running Starburst v1.5 and Zedomax OC Kernel

touch pads glitching help!!

So the other day I was playing minecraft on my xperia play and the touch pads were acting weird. My screen would randomly move without me touching it. when I did try to use them that randomness was fighting what I wanted it to do so I got no where. To me it seems like its registering touches on its own. has any one else come by this problem? also how do I fix it?
Yes it has happend to me, What rom u on?, Im on a GB Rom, Im running The Super Nexus Project,
Check my Sig for more info!
I just bought it and was testing everything out. I haven't rooted yet.

Maybe your hardware is damaged. It you can return it you should or exchange it. Seems like its an actual touchpad problem not software though I havent seen anyone mention this before. Bad luck

Got similar few months ago. Screen starts randomly behave as touched and touchpads gone. When turned off and removed battery it starts working properly until next time.
I tried stock firmware same happen. Even I've send phone to Sony service twice but no resolve.
I have not much problems with random screen touches now but before using touchpads need to turn off phone and remove battery.
i did this also and still nothing. it just spazzes out on every game that involves the touch pads.
