[ROM][4/10/11] Shokouhi_Saga_G2_Gingerbread_Sense_2.0

This rom is for the G2/Desire Z based on 2.30 Gingerbread Sense build along with parts of the Saga port!
This rom will require full wipe.

1. Based on latest 2.30 leak and Saga official Gingerbread Sense port.
2. Removed all themes but slate and stock. Removed bloatware. Added
3. Added Sony font.
4. Zipaligned and deodexed.
5. Added some themeing to the icons.
6. Added Honeycomb Bootanimation. Thanks Roland D!
7. Fixed many incorrect rotating rosie apps (I fixed the news widget update issue.) No more foreclose on this widget finally!
8. Added the Carbon Lockscreen modded from my Inc. days.
9. Astro File Manager, Latest Facebook, Spare Parts, Google Voice, Adfree, Titanium Backup, Rom Manager, Gallery 3d.
10.Using script updated for CWM 3.0 or higher.
11. Cleaned out much of the framework and optimized the rom (fixed issues with the rom overall.)
12. Updated build prop
14. Themed notification bar to htc black (Stock).
15. Added Gingerbread keyboard, Zegoe Font, and Sony Sketch Font to post 3 addons.
16. Corrected all issues from 1.5 build.

Wipe Instructions:
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
go into "mounts and storage" and click the following:
unmount /cache
format boot
format system
format data
format cache
go into advanced:
Wipe dalvik cache
and remember always do a NAND backup.

Looks pretty awesome to me. does this still use the .35 kernel found in rmk's version, or does it use a kernel that allows for replacement by an OC kernel without destroying the rom entirely?

And this ROM is based on ...? Could you post screenshot for Menu -> Settings -> About Phone -> Software Information please?

Thanks mate! I have been hosting at HTCPEDIA and I was here before. I had an Inc roms here before. I have done icons with Dinik. I just returned here. I have one question for you, though. When you go through the initial setup of the phone and are presented with the list of languages to choose from, is there one called "English (United States)?" I've tried some of the other Gingerbread Sense based ROMs, and I believe they all don't offer that. Closest one is the "English (United Kingdom)" one.

Would the application "Font Changer" work with this? I know it works well for AOSP based ROMs.

Yes, there is no default browser included because the way the default browser was build in JVQ does not allow it to be deodexed.
There are several differences between code contained in .odex and normal .dex files - have a look here for example
The .odex files are build with specific dependencies and baksmali, in this case, is not capable to detect which is the correct dependency or if there are more of them.
So called de-compilation of .dex or .odex files is actually reverse engineering so it was just a matter of time until a change would appear.
We are right now waiting for an update from brut.all and JesusFreke. Hopefully we'll get some update soon.
I have decided to keep everything on my forum as is much easier to manage bugs and other things.

I'm first tester ? What kernel is the best for this rom ? Maybe speed mod ?

Not sure about speedmod Team Continuum has a kernel builder, existz, so we are using Talon kernel.
Go ahead and try Speedmod, used to use it when he had an i897 version, great kernels.

I like SpeedMod however i become on Talon. Great room.

does this also suffer from the "hangs" with the touch display & softkeys ?
this only occured very seldom with JVH but much more often with JVP and can be very annoying, e.g. while gaming and a "virtually" pressed button or slider locking in a certain direction for several seconds
from my observations so far it's an upstream ROM (and not kernel) issue with JVP (currently using Ficeto's JVP Base ROM - it's occuring with DarkCore + Talon kernel)
if this ROM doesn't has this issue I'll migrate ASAP

Because I simply want to know my ROMs users, this is the first step in becoming a part of a community. Second, because I offer hotlinks only, hosted on my server so registration is a mean of security. I use multiupload only as a backup link.

So it don't need to be ported, just metamorph... Ummm aboutto try in well report in a couple.

All you have to do is FLASH IT!!! Its UNIVERSAL...You also have the option to MetaMorph if you dont want the WHOLE THEME!! Just BITS and PIECES!! Did you wipe?

Try and wipe cache and dalvik...It worked for me...Im using EpicAOSPMod v-1..You shouldn't have any problems with it as it is UNIVERSAL...Try again...Let me know if it worked out...I still want to try your theme but I'm gonna wait till you have it a little more developed..I know it looks AMAZING right now but this theme is gonna hold me over till yours is closer to final...I hope your able to use the dialer from this one cause its the nicest one I've seen yet..

Did you wipe cache and Dalvik first..Are you using CWM to flash and I would try flashing again..I've only tried it with EpicAOSPMod V-1 rom and stock kernel...It is"Universal"so I would think it should work for all others...Try it again wiping cache and Dalvik and let me know how you make out!!

I think ROMS with NO CIQ is CAUSING ALL THE F.C'S!!
Guys..I think it may be ROMS that have NO CIQ that is causing all the Force closes..I just remembered...I tried installing a similar theme on my AEMOD and had recieved the same PROBLEMS...That has to be the PROBLEM... Sorry guys...I will change the O.P and state to look out for that...There is a member who installed it also and had NO PROBLEMS...I wil lPM him and ask which Rom he is using..

I install this on I fresh flash (Wiped 3x ) on StarBurst ROM[10/9/11] [v1.5]
without any problems besides gmail FC. I just remove it and put the old on back in.

The screenshots are sick. I want to flash it but I am on a noCIQ ROM and don't want to screw it up. Plus, I'm using Launcher Pro instead of TW. Is this going to be workable for my situation, later?

I am on midnight rom 2.1 with no ciq and have no probems with thise theme . I am really loving this theme only close second to watermarked theme we used to have for droid og.

you say to wipe data + cache + dalvik 3 times, wont that delete profile and everything on my phone which has starburst 10/8 nightly installed?
if i wipe data? that sometimes causes phone to freeze because I would not be installing a rom afterwards?
if i want to install the newest version of starburst (v1.5) and this theme, what are the best steps to take to do it?

AOSP+ ROM Utility - Click HERE
AOSP+ ROM Utility is just like CodeName Android ROM Utility but for AOSP+. Download file, install as any other APK file, run ROM Utility and press "List Downloads" and select the files you want to download. When downloads are complete you will find a folder named AOSP_Plus on the root of your SD Card and this where all the files will be downloaded to. From there, follow normal install instructions to install ROM, GApps and whatever else for the time being while the ROM Utility is being worked on so it will have the ability to flash ROMs and other such files.

No...it is plain vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4. The napolitain flavor comes later

I have it running now. Looks good . Only with install wizard he connect automatically to g3 and i cant choose to use wifi. Thats possible after installation. I miss rom control but this is clean rom, i know. Also toggle and % battery. But thats all in rom control.

Does wifi work after the setup wizard? Can you test NFC to see if that works please? All other custom stuff will be in CNA 4.0.4 in the near future. Just trying to get a good clean base before we start importing the customizations in.

Wifi works. I can enable and disable nfc because we dont use it in Holland and i cant test it .sorry. The rest is working.

thanks for posting! no issues with me. only two things i miss with stock are the T9 dialer & toggles/widgets. will test further next weekend. (for now need to use a stable/stock unrooted release due to business).

oooo, I can't wait for 4.0.4 CNA!!!

I have been using this since yesterday and I have to say it is extremely snappy and smooth. I'm very happy with the performance and battery drain so far. I was curious to know if anyone new of a standalone mod that was only to add a few nav buttons? That's literally the only mod for this rom I've have been missing coming from CM9. If not i can live with the stock nav buttons but a mini menu and search on the left and right respectively would be epicly awesome. If anyone has any ideas would love any feedback and its much appreciated. Thanks again for this rom, its just what I was looking for.

Once you add GApps to the AOSP build there is very little difference if any...

Need infamous ics rom themes!!!

I'm currently running the Infamous ics rom for Samsung galaxy S2 T989. Does anyone have a link for themes to flash for it. Have a blue theme now & would like a change. Thank you

I just flashed the Infamous rom today and I def need some kind of different theme, does touchwiz have the possibility of changing themes?

i talked to the developer of the infamous rom and he said
"Do a back up and try any theme for dark side beta 3... or any theme for 4.0.3. Too early to tell exactly which work perfect or not."

well i just flashed this theme for darkside aosp lockscreen stock 1% battery mod from this post

i.was.able.to flash this properly. while flashing, it was looking for darkside-res.apk which was obviously not found .. credit goes to the dev for being generic...
thanks to that, i was actually able to flash his theme over this rom..
if you download this theme, be sure to thank the guy....
i intend to use this rom n theme till a new version shows up.. so i will report here first in case i find any difficulties.. none so far...!!
p:s. I did do a backup since i wasnt sure..

thanks. i downloaded & thanked the man but the theme didnt do anything different to my cell. maybe cause im runnin infamous 2.6.5 now. could that be why?
