Does wifi work after the setup wizard? Can you test NFC to see if that works please? All other custom stuff will be in CNA 4.0.4 in the near future. Just trying to get a good clean base before we start importing the customizations in.

oooo, I can't wait for 4.0.4 CNA!!!

I have been using this since yesterday and I have to say it is extremely snappy and smooth. I'm very happy with the performance and battery drain so far. I was curious to know if anyone new of a standalone mod that was only to add a few nav buttons? That's literally the only mod for this rom I've have been missing coming from CM9. If not i can live with the stock nav buttons but a mini menu and search on the left and right respectively would be epicly awesome. If anyone has any ideas would love any feedback and its much appreciated. Thanks again for this rom, its just what I was looking for.

[ROM] [04 JAN] [4.0.3] Almost Vanilla v3

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for your phone exploding or Mcdonalds forgetting to take the onions off your burger. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
I call this ROM "Almost Vanilla" as it's built from 4.0.3 sources with a few necessary fixes and a tweak here and there. I don't intend to add much of anything, Google did a fantastic job this time around.
Everything should work in this ROM!

I was looking at the official OTA zip hoping it was just a matter of yanking the APKs. Apparently they release the Gapp bits as patch files which get applied during the flash. I assume there must be a way to get them out of there but that stumped me.
Someone posted a nandroid in the S forums, maybe that would help?

I did read his first post. "Developed and tested only with ICS 4.0.3." No where does it say it doesn't work on 4.0.2. The way I read his post was it may work, it may not. I tried it and responded saying it doesn't work, which I expected was a possibility. I then followed up with asking if he would support it. Does that sound like I'm blaming him?
Don't make assumptions.

Thank you for nice app, but I found strange behaviour.
Even if I have set default number for contact, T9 search in another number and displays it like default.
Could you turn off, or make an option to, "Search in the middle", so it only search contact/name from beginning?
Just flashed this on the 4.0.4 ... works fine ... enjoying it

This may sound silly, but If I were to open up the GAPPS zip you put up here, could I go in and remove items I don't want and have it still flash properly?
It would be nice if someone put up a CWM that only included the Play Market and Talk and whatever else you can't get on the Play Market...just to keep it as simply and small as possible....also eagerly awaiting for someone to post an inverted GAPPS CWM for Jellybean**
Thank you for the stock deodexed AOSP build!

You're welcome. The only apps in there are facelock, gmail and talk. What is taking space that is not needed are a couple of the video files, sound files and the boot screen. I have a slightly smaller version I use for myself that I can post later today for others who may want to use it.
Thank you...I'll give it a spin tonight...the Gapps are getting real big...I remember back during the Gingerbread days, they were like 10mb or less...now they're hovering at 100mb if not more.

[ROM][JB] Link to OFFICIAL AOKP Nightly (Maguro and Toro)

FIRST OF ALL, ALL THE CREDITS GO TO TEAM KANG, NOT ME. I AM NOT EVEN A DEVELOPER. I'M JUST A GUY WHO WANTS TO SHARE THIS AMAZING ROM.

Enjoy!
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I will be glad to help. But remember that I am not the developer of this ROM...
I found this ROM to be very stable and very smooth/fast. I found little to no lag with CPU overclocked to 1.4GHz.
Enjoy and remember, I will not be responsible for any issues.
Kernels that I recommend
Also, If you're interested in another kernel (For some reason), I highly recommend Trinity Kernel, although I never tried Franco Kernel...
Here's the link to Trinity Kernel: http://derkernel.com/jb-tuna.php
My favourite are the Faux kernels...i think this is the best choice fast,stable,customizable...
I think Franco,Trinity,Fugumod have some bug and my AOKP rom isn't butter smooth with them....

[rom] [aosp] [4.2.1] s3 1-25-13 [toroplus] Abandoned

This is a nightly project based off of the Android Open Source Project software code and Google proprietary that I'm maintaining for myself that I'm sharing with the community.
This ROM doesn't have any added features found in most ROM's, instead I am more focused on keeping this "stockish".
If you are looking for something that is more developed I would suggest CyanogenMOD, AOKP, TeamEOS, or etc that offers more.
If you have an error or something pops up I ask that before you post about it please make sure that you are running the ROM as provided. I cannot troubleshoot anything that is related to using other kernels, mods, or themes.

I'm using the 4.1.1 ota kernel for now until I get time to compile my own 4.2 kernel so batt life may be an issue but slow downs should be minimal
Thanks guys for the mirrors I will add them to the op as soon as I'm back in front of my PC
do you plan to include root in future builds?

IDK I really don't use any root apps ..... if I don't I will link to an easy root package .... but for now I'm just trying to make sure everything works ok without it

for the time being as a work around you can disable apps in the settings/apps menu and they won't show up in you app folder
