I was hoping someone could share their experiences with the covers/cases they use for their note. I have looked at some, and i am thinking of either getting the 'standard' flip cover or a starcase leather i found. I am thinking that the back the note is a bit slippery compared to silikone or rugged leather. Has any tried combining the flip cover with some other case/cover?
What is your thoughts on that?

Samsung recently released some cases on their website for the Captivate. They're a little pricey but they look to be of decent quality. I noticed carbon fiber and silicone. I can't post links yet, but if you check the Samsung website, you'll find a couple of decent cases under "Cases and Holsters"

I'm sure I could have fit it there, but I chose to use the "New Thread" button at the top of the page instead. Your concerns are noted, and due to the pure destructive power of this thread, I think I may need to create a new thread in order to apologize.

More importantly, the cases in the links aren't actually available, so this thread truly is a waste of space.
Seriously.... many accessories incompatible between the two, e.g. batteries... can we get separate threads or at least some posting guidelines to identify GSM or VZW?

Problem is most retailers don't even tell you if its make for one or the other. It kinda makes me mad. We just need to be more specific with the titles of threads IMHO.

I think this is very much needed!
I have had a couple other phones that have 2 variants(GSM & CDMA) and the only sub forum I have ever seen them split is the dev section. I don't think they will split the accessories section. We just have to do a better job at tagging the threads as mentioned before.
I agree. I don't like too much separation. I like to easily see whats being done for the other side. The Dev section is hard enough.
As pictured I have broken my sceeen.
Luckily the crack is in the bezel.
My question is does anyone have suggestions on a case that would cover the crack so that I can live with the phone. If the crack were worse I would spend the $200 to get it fixed but I have an upgrade in 4 months and will probably get the Note 3 later this year. So I am looking to cover the crack with a good case so that I don't have to look at it.
Thinking about the Defender because of the belt clip (could be useful for work) but it doesn't cover the bezel as much as I would like. I am reaching out for any suggestions before I jump on buying it. Any help is appreciated.

I own a Denfender, and you're right, it doesn't cover the bezel very well. But for your purposes, I think it would be fine. Especially if you're only holding on to it for another 4 months or so.

Ya sucks...my s3 shattered the whole screen,, I used it all the way till I got my note 2.
This is what I had to endure. ..
Found a pretty nice "fake" Griffin Survivor case that covers most the bezel. And it comes in lime green. Think I found a winner.

Use common sense. Read the rules. Not being smart ***, it's the truth. That's how forums work. Feel free to report, I encourage it. I report threads daily for being in the wrong place. It won't hurt my feelings, but it's in the correct place.

I've recently ordered a Nexus 5 that should be delivered next week.
I'm looking at cases but all that I've found so far have raised side edges. On my current phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) I have a Cool Vent Case which doesn't have side raised edges.
Anyone has seen any case that doesn't have raised edges on the sides?
Since I cannot post images here due to the low number of posts so far, please Google "Galaxy S3 mesh case" for pictures of how it looks like.

The idea of opening this thread came to my mind when i saw a lot people having a number of questions and issues about accessories of our device.
So i am making this thread. In this thread we will discuss about accessories, not just official ones but also about those which are provided by third parties.
Rules are just simple.
If you have any accessory which is good and you have full knowledge of it you can talk about it. Share your experience and information with complete details.
Be appropriate, if you don't have information then you can asked but don't share any wrong or spam like information.
Before posting any thing please read the thread carefully and be sure there is no other post like you want to share. If there is one. And still if you have something new about it you should quote that post and share your information.
Give your post a title (it is important) A title containing simple searched words so that people who look for it can find it very easily.
And
If you can please share some pictures of your accessory and screen shots of that device's software or interference.
You can talk about any accessory like batteries, blue tooth devices , cases, casings or chargers etc.

I have it for over 1.5 years, and I only have good experience with it, only when I play some game in landscape mode, the case cuts me a bit.
