Hardware question, micro usb to hdmi adapter??? - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

Ok so I didn't even know that such a thing even existed till recently... I would buy one right now if I knew it would work!!! Does anyone know if it will work with the incredible 2? Has anyone tried it? Now I realize it won't stream a true 1080 or 720 display because the phone isn't capable of that but I've plugged my laptop in to the tv before and it works even if I don't have it set to 1080 or 720. Thanks

I did a little more research into it, sounds like there's no cable that's compatible with the incredible 2... that sucks!

I don't think the aria has a "tv-out" function. I know the captivate does. Also, http://androidforums.com/captivate-accessories/118617-tv-out-captivate.html & http://community.htc.com/na/htc-forums/android/f/96/p/5197/23170.aspx
.
Nope, it lacks the hardware, and I think creating a mirroring layer is just beyond the phone's processing power for something smooth. So, just connect the phone in SD mode

Does the epic touch have photon like HDMI mirroring?

Like the title says that will ultimately make me choose the photon or eppy

Yes it does

Just got my mhl adapter a few days ago, its sweet. Full HDMI mirroring. Yes it does, with MHL adapter. They're cheap.

You can do the same thing on this device with an mhl adapter. I regularly use it to watch videos or play games.

It does. You just need an mhl adaptor.

Looking into this does it charge while connected? The main thing I would want this is for netflix at my moms or aunts or buddies place on their tv
Whats the max resolution it can output?
Bumppppp

it does charge while using it. although it doesn't seem to be enougglh on mine. it takes down my battery level eventually
Can I watch Netflix through it?

No it will not charge your device unless the tv specifically has a MHL port. Otherwise a HDMI port will not carry enough power to sustain your device, hence the reason most MHL adapters have a secondary USB port for charging.

yes, yes you can. and the above poster is also correct, you need to hook it up via usb for it to charge efficiently. and if im not mistaken, the output is 1080p? it would make sense, since its capable of recording 1080p, and then playing those videos in 1080p on a 1080p capable device (tv or monitor)
AWESOME!!!

[Q] TV - Phone

I've ordered a cord from amazon usable on Droid x/evo something. It was only 2.83$ so it was a deal since its HDMI.
My question has anyone used something like this and if so did it work and what rom and will it work for ICS?
Lol I just didn't wanna pay 26$ for a AV cable that probably would suck.

Question in RE: to playing video on TV

I have the note 2 and have a bunch of videos of the kids. I wanted to play them on living room big screen.
So I bought an adapter that I plug into my phone and then I can plug in an HDMI cable along with a side power source plug.
Basically I plugged them all in and I cannot view the videos on my tv. It doesn't even seem to recognize my phone. Anyone run into this? Or know what I can do to watch video on my TV?

you need to have the MHL adapter with 11 pins..for s3 and note2................there are some 5 pin adapters for note1 and s2 in shops..you might have got that
Just checked and that is exactly what I have. A Samsung MHL adapter that is supposed to work for the note 2. Frustrating.

I believe this is what you need!

You could go this route:
http://www.cellphoneshop.net/mhlhdmi.html
Read review and make sure the one you're buying works for the Note 2 or S3.
I have one from my ol' S2, bought an adapter for my Note 2 and it works like a charm!
Nope.
You need the mhl adapter like others suggested unfortunately. Unless you can find one locally than there is nothing you can do.
You need an mhl cable. More specifically the one from samsung because they made ours non standard.
