I made this video today hopefully might help some people. I know you can get them cheaply but I like to fiddle and make things

I also know its been covered to death on the internet but none have been specific to this device.
Enjoy

I have a question is there anyway or it might already be ported to get the s-pen to work like it does on the galaxy note? Being able to write and it shows on the screen? Or is that a hardware type thing? All these might be a stupif question but I thought I'd ask

As long as the pen tip conducts ur electricity to the screen it should register properly. (Its not really conducting your electricity im just avoiding getting into the physics) I'm just not sure if our screen has the appropriate layers for pen tip abuse....scratching etc .

There are stylus' out there that are made for use with our device, to prevent scratching and they register fine on our screen. I recommend going online and looking up some accessories for our phone and they will usually point you in the right direction.
Just go on amazon and look for capasative stylus. I got a 3 pack for like $5 that work great.

I recall seeing a review on this. It doesn't work on anything other than the Note. The reviewer said something about the Note having added software that allows it to work with the s-pen. I'll post the link to the review when I find it.

The s pen will not work. It works differently than a standard stylus, (its inductive) and will only work with the hardware layer on the note. Any CAPACITIVE stylus will work.

I know this is almost virtually impossible, but is it all possible to get a keyboard case mod for this phone? I think it would be sick...not sure how it would work based on the lack of keyboards fitting the exact dimensions...but yeah any ideas? Just would be nice for school.
I doubt you could do it, just with the size alone, but i would suggest just a blue tooth keyboard. Mine works great actually

Don't know either...but what about combining a cheap case, a slide out with metal clicks and using this:

Might experiment with it if someone wants to donate haha...might just buy the keyboard on ebay or something similar in size...will check back eventually.
Depending on the dimensions of that keyboard, it might not be a bad idea tho. Worth a shot I guess, so if you do it, post some pics! Wish I could make stuff like that haha. Anyway, good luck if you do it

Probably will once I get some more cash, haha. Anyone got any ideas on making some "blueprints" though?
That would look really nice if you could do it. Keep us posted !

Hi all.
My wife has a note 2 and the screen got cracked (not the digitiser) Not insured and I wasn't about to pay £289 cheeky gits lol.
I got a replacement screen and followed a youtube tutorial on how to replace.
I got the glass off fine and have put the screen on but keep getting an air bubble appear. I've tried different adhesives and still the same... Has anyone else come across this or is anyone able to shed some light on a solution.
Thanks for your time.
And yes I made it kind of hybrid with a black home button... Completely by mistake ha ha (when ordering make sure you get the right colour... Duh)

Yes, there's a solution. Spend millions on a specially designed cleanroom and laminating equipment.
If you can't manage that, your choice are:
a) Live with the bubble
b) Spend the $289 for a proper sealed unit
Sorry dude.
Thanks for the sarcasm... That really helped.
For anyone that might be interested. I found the solution.
The sides require more clearance. So I put more tape on the sides and that has got it sorted.
Easy after all that messing!

How is the quality? Is viewing experience same or are there changes on colors/brightness etc.?
you can try special UV glue for phone digitizers you can find it on ebay. but than you also need strong UV lamp. check some youtube video =)
From what I can tell in comparison to my s4 the quality is very good hardly noticeable... Very happy

Hello everybody.
I know e-inks display are better for reading but since I love my N7..
Do you think that use it as a primary reader could be dangerous in the long time? I'm talking about little permanent problems and things like that?
Thank you
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It's really hard to damage your eyes, only way I know how is to burn them with too much brightness (look at the sun for example) or a strong enough laser.
Reading in the dark or reading on bright displays can only give you headaches or make your eyes dry up if you are prone to that sort of thing. If you have issues with dry eyes while looking at any monitor or get headaches while having to concentrate too much in the dark to read, then using the tablet as an e-reader might give you trouble. But nothing permanent.
Oh thank you. Very glad to hear this

Bought an aluminum battery cover for my s3 on ebay and quickly learned it was not a good buy. It interfered with reception. All day I kept dropping lte signal (at&t) and pushed to haspa....and at one point edge service... in my area I rarely lose lte (Philadelphia region). I recorded a marked difference in signal and posted it on YouTube

{begin sarcasm} I am SHOCKED sir SHOCKED { end sarcasm}
Im curious what you expected? though i admit i miss the metal back on my cappy ..
I didn't expect it to interfere with my reception obviously. Perhaps other ppl will not expect it as well and this information may be useful to them. This is a forum for information exchange if everyone knew everything. . Places like this would not need to exist...but u should know that I guess

Except for the fact that there are already numerous threads concerning the fact.
This thread will be as easy, or as hard, to find as those others.
Just gotta look....
Thanks though...
But then u will have nothing to troll... awww
