My friend unlocked his but were he lives there is no 4g, were I live there is will it work? Verizon 4G lte
Nope. We are a GSM carrier, while Verizon is CDMA. Two very different technologies.

You're not going to be even able to use the phone on verizon unless you open it up, and replace some circuits on the inside... then the firmware.. sounds like a fun project if you are into that.
Tell your friend he is going to have to suck it up or buy a new phone.
No, We already got it working for 3G. We took the sim card out of his Droid 3 Global while I was on vacation and put it in an unlocked Samsung Galaxy, worked fine. I am back in arizona and we have 4g here (were he lives they do not) and I just bought another sgs2 and when I take the sim out of my Droid 3 global will it work 4g aslong as 3g? I know it works for 3g

Wont to bet fag $10 paypal on the table

Fag? Look it up, NO TMOBILE PHONE WILL WORK ON VERIZONS NETWORK. Bottom line, you did not put a verizon sim card in the T989 and get 3g. There are more then one Samsung Galaxy S2. .
Oh and by the way, calling someone a name like that shows your age, mommy and daddy need to child proof the computer.

maybe he means the sprint galaxy s2??? that might be possible? who knows lol
So after looking around, you might be able to do it.
Just try it because apparently you have everything you need on hand.
But you will not be able to make calls from it.
I suppose that means you got a mini ipad or something.
You'll get 3G at max, probably edge since t-mobile uses HPSA+ instead of LTE bands.
There are so many Samsung Galaxy phones it is easy to get mixed up. Im just letting them know that Tmobile phones CANT work on Verizon, completely different technologies used.

I asked my friend he is asleap so I left a message, Droid 3 is listed as supporting GSM 850/900/1800/1900. Also, my SIM card has "Verizon GSM Global network". I can prove the phone me and my friend bought is the t-mobile one I have a pic of the box. Let me get it off ebay

Nope. If you buy the Verizon one you're stuck. Theres a small glimmer of hope that you could reflash it to another regional CDMA carrier, but even that's a long-shot.

short answer, no
long answer, yes
Anything can be done with enough will power. But practically speaking, no you cant.
I know a guy who got his CDMA EVO 3D working on ATT's GSM network. And I flashed my Sprint only EVO 3D to connect to Verizon. So yes these things are possible, but I wouldnt bother if I were you. If you want to use your VZW Nexus on a GSM network, then why didnt you just get a contract and GSM phone on whichever Network you wanted? If you want to flash to Sprint, Why? Verizon is much better, I just came from Sprint so believe me when I say Sprint has some ****ty service right now. Too many upgrades going on.
I currently have a Samsung Charge and was wondering what would happen if I put my current SIM into a gnexus. would that allow me to use the phone or does it need to be activated by verizon?
Well, you won't be able to put the SIM in the Nexus because the Charge uses a full sized SIM and the Galaxy Nexus uses a micro SIM. However, it would work if you cut your SIM down.

I disagree, at least from what the man at the VZW store told me.. The SIM is for LTE only, this I know to be true. I was informed that I would have to call VZW to switch between phones. I specifically asked this question because I had always used GSM phones before where you could swap SIMs freely.

Huh. So this is only true for LTE phones? If I buy another LTE VZW phone I can just swap the SIMs freely and I will have service just like with GSM phones? So that means the SIM is NOT for LTE only like I was informed at VZW?

Correct. As long as the sims are the same size, its a matter of drop it in and power up.
If not, you have to cut down your sim or use a micro to full adapter.

Okay thanks. I know the people at the VZW store dont know everything but **** you would think they would know a simple thing like that. Hmm, just yesterday I was reading in a thread about data dropouts where the guy said it worked fine chen set to CDMA only but LTE cause dropouts, he said the solution was to get a new SIM and it has been working fine ever since. So the SIM has to do with CDMA and LTE. I am thinking about testing this with my buddies Droid2 Global.. Thanks again to both of you for correcting my misconception, I am pretty sure it is a widespread misconception too.
the LTE sim authenticates your phone to the network and registers it.
a coworker has a LTE ipad and he takes his SIM out of his phone and pops it into his ipad all the time and has internet access.

Cool beans, makes me want another LTE phone, to swap around on diff days. I dont know why I said I was gonna try it with my friends D2G, its not LTE, duh! This is very good to know and makes me really happy.
I swap my SIM between my Nexus and Charge sometimes (rarely) and it works fine. I have an adapter that I cut from an old SIM to use so the microSIM sits in the correct location. AFAIK, the LTE SIM takes care of activating the CDMA portion on it's own, allowing you to swap around as much as you like.
My wife and I are considering taking our tmobile phones over to AT&T. There both unlocked... Note 2 & sg3. Question I have is would I have to flash AT&T modems and roms to be able to fully utilize the new network? Just don't want to end up with bricks. AT&T already told me both devices unlocked will work fine on the network.
Wat I'm asking is if I can utilize the lte on the t-889 if I put it on AT&T? I found a bunch of threads with mixed responses.

I dunno about that as many said everything works but LTE. I have also read a few that says they have LTE enabled. That's what's confusing. I may go to AT&T tomorrow and have them test a sim before I decide to switch. I assume if I change to AT&T apn ill get better 4g speed at least. The limitation your speaking to its a locked radio for the t-889 that prevents LTE from being enabled currently.
I can't quickly tell, but if it has LTE support on band 17 (700MHz) then it will work. It's a T-Mobile phone so it has support on band 4 which AT&T only uses for a very small part of its LTE network.
Like you said the radio it comes with might be locked to not allow LTE. If you can flash an AT&T radio without issue then you'd be able to see if it works.
If I were to guess I'd say it would have the right band since it's basically the same phone that AT&T sells.
Does it at least get hspa+ and 3G? I can wait for lte.

From what I understand its not hardware, it's because of a radio limitation currently. Lte isn't enabled yet on the t-889. That's why I asked if I could flash a AT&T radio. As long as I get 4g and 3G ill switch. The whole point was to save $$ on buying new devices.

I know that the P605 will not work with LTE. However I can confirm that my straight talk Sim card works and I am getting HSPA+ (ATT Straight Talk Card) Here is my situation. I purchased a sim car from AT&T and activated it on the Gophone plan.. $35 per month for 500 minutes and unlimited text and data. For some reason no matter what APN I put in I don't get any data. I got data the first night I set it up and now I get no data. I have a International Version of the Galaxy S4 running with a GoPhone dumb phone $50 per month unlimited everything. (AT&T system does not recognize the IMEI so it reverts it to a dumb phone). Why isn't it working for my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014. I figure $35 bucks isn't a bad deal. Please assist or am I dead in the water.

I also have a P605, and I've been trying to get connected via Red Pocket Mobile, an AT&T MVNO, but I haven't had much luck. However, my issues are with Red Pocket's terrible customer service, and trying to get their smallest data plan (1GB for $10) connected to the sim card (that it took them 2 weeks to send).
I've read about a T-Mobile $30/month plan for BYOD devices that I will test out, once I get the sim card from them (currently backordered)...My device had a USA T-Mobile profile already present in the APN settings, I'm hoping it will work!

At this point I may send my device back for a refund or sell it. I may just wait for a US carrier to get it. Yeah I know I won't get updates or support from US carriers.........wait damn that........ San Diego should be farmed to 1900 so I'm hoping for decent coverage around town. I faced the same dilemma here, wait or go for it... My old tablet was an Acer A500 so I really needed something (and some people complain about lag on the Note? Ha!).

There shouldn't be any problems using the sim and APN settings. The data rate you will see will depend on your area. If TMO has 'reformed' the edge frequencies to HSPA then you will get decent data. Otherwise you may get stuck with edge...

If your Note 3 isn't using LTE when it gets those speeds, then 'maybe'. Because the P605 doesn't have a perfect match for US freqs it still may not. I'm not sure where you are located, but if it's in a refarmed area you should (P605 supports HSPA on 1900). Here is the link (hope it goes) for the refarmed areas:

Has anyone gotten this thing to work on the AT&T go Plans?
I need a carrier with a good rate that uses the AT&T network. Previously I would put my international devices on the go phone plan since it sees it in the system as a dumb phone however with this one it won't connect to the data. Gives me a message that I need to add a supported data plan.

What mobile networks will the Razer Phone work with?
The Razer phone will work with GSM networks, like AT&T, T-Mobile, and their subsidiaries. It will NOT work on CDMA networks like Verizon and Sprint.

From Razer's website.... Wish you luck though and curious to what you find out.
What mobile networks will the Razer Phone work with?
The Razer phone will work with GSM networks, like AT&T, T-Mobile, and their subsidiaries. It will NOT work on CDMA networks like Verizon and Sprint.

I will tell you. The answer is no. I'm in Korea KT is CDMA. The data side works, UMTS B1 & LTE B1 B2 & B8 but the voice calls do not work. In phone drops even LTE if/when I attempt to make a call. Calls over Wifi isn't an option either since my carrier doesn't support it. Over here everyone uses VOIP anyways. Im not bothered by the lack of calling I rarely even use my 'phone' anyways. Plus I'm hoping to get back to the states soon and I will be back on AT&T.

Darn, looks like this awesome phone doesn't support Band 13, is there any chance we can get this phone on Verizon's network?

I purchased the Razer phone and am using Verizon with it. There is a work around that their tier 2 tech team can do. They add your line just on their LTE(GSM) network ( No band 13 CDMA is utilized). So if you are in an area that has good to great LTE signal then you can get the phone. Mine works great at work and outdoors. My only issue is at home. I always had one bar with all my other phones and now I have no service. I am waiting for a Samsung 4g LTE extender from Verizon so that I can correct that issue.
Rumor has it, Verizon will make the shift to just LTE by the end of 2018. If and when this happens, CDMA band and cellphones will no longer work with their network.
Hope I helped anyone who has the phone or wants to buy it. Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays.
Ok I got mine working on LTE as well but there's no phone capabilities. Sure u can send text and surf the internet but u can't make phone calls.

You can. Verizon needs to configure it on their end. I made calls all day today.

How did u talk to tier 2? cause most reps don't know their head from a hole in the ground
And if that's the case any LTE phone should work on their Network right?

I used Verizon's live chat initially. Reason for this is I was able to save the conversation and use it as a reference when I had to call back and got another rep. Also, good way for the tier 2 tech team to catch up. It took some time and persistence to get it right. Once the chat rep exhausts all their troubleshoots, they will escalate it to tier 2. A threat about me leaving and going elsewhere was used on one occasion.
It did take time and patience but I think the phone is worth the trouble. My Razer works just as well as my GS 7 edge. Just a reminder. It is on LTE only, so if you hit an area without LTE you will not function.

I did my own questioning with this and simply stuck my SIM card from my Google phone into my Razer and for while it worked but I noticed it didn't stick.
So I called Verizon and they told me that because my sim card was registered to my Google phone I would need to go and get a new sim and stock it into the Razer and it would then work on LTE and would stick

I am going to say no and you should try live chat again. I had ported out when I first got this phone back around Thanksgiving and I couldn't stand it and wanted back in to Verizon. When I came back in, they activated a new sim using a pixel 2, popped it in my phone and did some configs on their end. You do not need a new sim if your current sim is on a phone that has LTE service with same OS and on Verizon already.
What do u have ur settings set to because where I was verison couldn't get it working
