Hi
How are u guys
I bought my nexuus in dec 2011 its really a great mobile
But i noticed that its signa sucks . Always drop suddenly and disconnect during calls
Is there any fix for this problem ?
Thanks

Update your baseband to the latest version. That should solve your issues.

Mine is
4.0.3 Baseband I19250xxkk1
IML74k
is there a newer one?

hey man,
I dont have a GNEX yet, it should be here tomorrow. There is pretty much no fix for these issues. they are very widespread and all over the General section of this sub forum. Just goto that section and you will see signal issues, dropped calls, 4g to 3g issues etc etc.
This phone might be one of the biggest flops yet... I dont even own it yet and Im like hmm wtf.

There were very minor issues with the release firmware and baseband but how can you have a real opinion without even trying it for yourself? Every phone that comes out has issues in the beginning but these things get fixed. I for one am a very happy user and have had no deal breaker issues what so ever.

Do a quick search on the forum for baseband and you'll quickly find out

Not really "newer" but there are other ones you can flash and try out.

Well this thread is referring to the GSM model and you're getting the VZW model so... doesn't really apply to you. The VZW model has its own problems.
And ffs don't complain before you own the phone. Jesus...

You don't have the phone.
Your opinion means ZERO.
I have the GSM model and I have no problems with signal.
I'm using the XXKL1 radio, my phone came with the XXKK6 radio.

...if you don't own the phone yet, why are you ranting already? How about deciding yourself if you like it or not? People nowadays are so susceptible...
Using UGLA4 and KRKK7 currently, tried 5 others in the past... never had a call drop or internet issues

Thanks Guys For Your Reply
But my Mobile is ordered for Clove UK
its International Version as i think
its not related to VRZ or any carriers ... i think its the Mobile problem and its annoying ! i cant make a single call without signal drop or disconnect
am Using Fox Hound 1.1 Black Edition BTW

I have a GSM version. I have tried evey radio and kernal / rom build I could get my hands on. Each one I had issues with connectivity on ATT in Chicago.
Phone would not connect
Phone would connect, but no data
Yes, I have my ATT account provisioned for 4g data plan.
Did not make a difference.
On speed test, my pings were on the 1000+ ms. Make the phone useless..
Too bad, I really like the GN, except for the horrible single issues and the screen brightness levels that are too low. Kinda funny..
I like to load roms and play, but this phone requires a lot of that, and my results did not pan out.

I kinda have the same problem as you mattalter. I'm on att but in the south east, my phone calls are fine. I just have a problem with data here and there. Mine signal jumps around allot from -95 dBm to -110 which causes my internet to either connect or not.
Here is what I'm running:
Carrier: AT&T
ICS: 4.0.2 stock
Baseband: I9250XXKK6
Kernel: 3.08-gaaa2611
Build # ICL53F
Updated by: Yakju
GSM International Version
Funny thing is my wife and daughter both have the skyrocket same carrier and there data is always fine. But I can be seated right next to them and there downloading away and I'm waiting to connect. It's very frustrating to say the least.
Chad..

I have low dBM, around 70-85. I would think this would provide better radio performance, but no.
I am thinking of trying out the razr maxx. I have an vivid and I do enjoy the faster speeds..

@OP: That's why I asked which country you're from
Could you go into phone information on your device and post which radio is installed?
You might have a radio running that just doesn't work correctly where you live...

I'm using the 4.0.4 leak. I've been at home next to a window nice sunny day and my signal bounces all over. I cant say I have data issues because I'm on WiFi 90% of the time.
I made this Real Signal app (in the Market) and I've compared the graphs to a Razr and Fascinate and the GN has the most bounce in signal change ratio between the three. Is this good or bad... I dunno. Having alot of signal changes will cause extra drain I can assume.

ignore this

I was thinking about trading my Galaxy Note for the GSM Galaxy Nexus but a little concerned now. I'm in the US and live in Virginia. I was going to try to survive on the $30 plan on T-mobile which gives you only 100 minutes but 5GB of 4G data. Since I use Google Voice as my primary number I was planning on using Groove IP which does great on wi-fi and was going to use it over 4G also. To be honest I have never tried it on 4G...have on Sprints awful 3G and it didn't work well. I know with a G2X I could get speeds of 8 mbps down and 1.5 up. Does anyone else in the US use T-mobile and what speeds are you getting and how your signal strength is.

I just flashed over a new baseband instead of the European version that came on my phone. The one I installed is: UGKL1
I will keep you posted on how it works out.

[Q] signal issues on jelly bean

ive been using jelly bean and just recently my 3g signal just disappears randomly on verizon.
does anyone have a link to a good cdma(verizon) radio for jelly bean?
All of the JB ROMs are just using 4.0.4 radios. Sounds like you have some other problems.

I'm sprint and it does same thing for me. Yesterday in a three hour time frame I was disconnected from network 36% of the time. i think was even higher today. I keep checking the stats and no improvement really.

just recently like last night and all day today ive been losing my signal all the time, especially when in my house. Its not unheard of but its doing it too frequently

I don't think I've had over two bars since flashed over and I get excited about those. I think I read in another thread (but could be wrong have been googling) and I think it's because we are a port and still have some ics features..? Don't quote me on that tho.

Any help with this would be highly appreciated. Just bought a gnex from someone and I only really get a signal at home. I have pretty much no service anywhere that I used to have service with my Amaze with no problems before. I was hoping changing to jb might help but nothing.

Did you try to prl before you flashed over and was everything updated first?
*Android is upgrading...*
No, something happened to me too when I tried JB (VZW GNex)
I'm in the same boat (VZW GNex).
My stock 4.0.2 reception was "OK", not great. Same with stock 4.0.4 OTA update. Same after rooting. Same after CM9.
Then I tried jdkoreclipse 2.1 JB, and added the "Wi-Fi fix". Everything fine for a couple of days, then reception SUCKED -- empty triangle instead of bars. Toggling between "CDMA + LTE", "LTE only", and "CDMA only" made no difference.
I Reverted back to my prior CM9 image -- still bad, but I could get a signal outdoors sometimes, in a stronger area (sometimes it would help to turn Wi-Fi off). I re-flashed the proper radios -- no material difference.
I can't get any VZW signal at all inside my house or in the yard, inside my office or outdoors in front of it, inside or outside a Target store (all in an urban area -- some other outdoor areas I could get a stronger signal).
Last night I tried Razor's JB 2.6 -- same problem. Everything's working great on JB, (with the exception that my phone is not actually usable as a phone in many areas of the city). People complain that they have to leave messages that I have to retrieve from Google Voice over Wi-Fi, then I return the call on a land line. I tried "re-seating" my SIM card too.
It definitely appears to me as if something happened a couple of days after I first tried JB, that tanked my VZW reception, even after I reverted back to a prior saved ICS image, and re-flashing the 4.0.4 radios in ICS did not help. Every so often, I'll get a good signal outdoors, but I can't count on it.
I had better reception on ics also. I wonder if there will be a radio update when they finally do the full release
*Android is upgrading...*
One other thing that may be diagnostic
I don't know if this might make a difference, but somewhere along the way, Titanium Backup Pro reported that it detected a change in my Android device ID, and offered to revert it. At first I didn't revert it, but as I had more problems, I went ahead and reverted it as recommended. That was some time ago, and it did not happen again. Since the first JB versions originally came off of a Google I/O nandroid, is it possible that the one I loaded retained the Android device number from the source device, and maybe that played a role? Like I said, I reverted the ID AND later reverted to a prior saved ROM.
@ Jedininjafication, I noticed that you asked jacktrck if he "tried to prl before . . . ." I did a lot of things before I flashed, but I have to admit that I don't know what "prl" stands for. Maybe I did it, but I don't know. I can't think of anything that "prl" would stand for.

Just so we're clear, this goes way beyond merely being "inferior" to ICS. We're talking NO SERVICE in a significant part of my city, whereas I used to have service to varying degrees of strength before.

PRL is Preferred Roaming List. It's essentially a list of towers that your phone can use. Keeping it updated avoids your phone looking for towers that don't exist (in the case of a tower being removed) and allows it to "see" any new towers that have been constructed.
On Verizon (and Sprint?), the PRL is automatically updated via the SIM for 4G devices and manually via *228 on 3G devices. On AT&T (unless something has changed in the last few years), it's updated via a star coded call only, though I don't know if AT&T also uses *228 or not.

Ah, that's slightly different than VZW. For us, we can do *228 and select option 2, or we can dial *22899 (I think that's the one) directly. In the case of the Nexus, it's a moot point (on VZW, at least), since we're updated manually via SIM. Most times attempting to dial *228 will result in the phone refusing to dial.

He could try having them push an update. Sprint has had me do the *#*#4636.... Code and change my network to cdma(prl) then go do the *228.. And that's worked. I had garbage service other day until I did a ping in same dialer code. I don't know if menu is the same on Verizon tho
OH! don't do the SCRTN if your do call them! I did that and since am not stock it completely set my meid and stuff to all zeros and they couldn't figure out how to fix so i had to restore

So, what do you guys think of the Android ID thing? Non-issue? And what would have caused it to change in the first place?

after i did the scrtn thing and everything set to 0000000000 and restored back to a previous version and did the update I haven't really had issues. I do at my house in my room but have been good other than that. I don't even know if Verizon has that menu, but it's the factory data reset code for us. Doesn't reset the other stuff.

i have no idea what happened but this is on 3g. Not wifi. no lte here..I'm second round. Awesome
Android is upgrading...
I was having great 4G signal running any ICS rom, however my signal would drop 4-5 times per hour. I called verizon to see what they could do, as I had read that some people had better luck with a replacement phone or sim card. Verizon first sent me a replacement sim card which made it worse. Next they sent me a replacement phone. The first replacement, which I have no clue how it passed re-certification, because you could see the 3-pin charging area from the front of the phone. The housing was not seated correctly on the phone after they refurbished the phone. So I called verizon back again and I got a second replacement. This one was free of any visual defects that I could see and runs fine on ICS or JB roms.. However I am still getting awful signal where I used to get 3-4 bars 4G all constantly on my original nexus.
If I reboot the phone it locks on the tower at 4G for maybe 1-2 minutes, then drops to 3G full bars, then slowly over the next few minutes drops to 0-1 3G bar(s) and then down to 1X.
I suppose my next move is to get yet another replacement and see if I have any better luck. This is becoming a nightmare.

AT&T limited simultaneous voice + data

This is one of those, "Is anyone else having this problem or is just me?" posts.
Within roughly the last month when I'm on a voice call my data service goes out 80% of the time. This used to be really solid. This was with Yakju ICS with the UGLC1 baseband. I upgraded to stock Jelly Bean in the hopes that this would be fixed and it was a baseband issue. However there was no improvement.
I've had this happen in very good signal areas from Virginia to New York.
Anyone think this is a GN bug? An AT&T conspiracy that no one should be doing simultaneous voice and data to reduce data consumption? Basically WTF?
On to the XXLF1 baseband to see what that does. As I said, all was well up to about a month ago...
I do not have this issue... tho I may be asking for to much but when on a call my data is slowed down to Edge speeds... enough to surf the web yes since edge speeds aren't bad. But I wish at least 2 Mbps while on call... I've never had your issue tho, even after flashing jelly bean. Same radio but perhaps your area is too congested? Or perhaps your APN Settings need to be changed? =\

Calls are prioritized over data. If you are on a call and the signal strength decreases rapidly or enough data will disconnect to ensure that voice traffic remains at the highest possible quality.
Hmm. Annoying!
Well it's the same phone, same travel areas, very good signal, data just stops working in lots of cases now.
Could be different firmware. But if it was I suspect others would be seeing the problem too which is why I posted.
I used to get quite good data speeds during a voice call as well. I would stream video just fine.
This really kills the ability to use Google Maps/Navigation/Yelp and others while on a call. Which was really the only reason I was still with AT&T.
If I'm really all alone on this I'll try older basebands and see if that improves things.
I am having the same problem
This problem started for me as well on a GSIII. Did you ever find a resolution?

No resolution though it seems to have improved a little bit since I wrote this.
Since you're seeing this on a different phone I'm guessing this is AT&T mucking around.
Still going on. I suspect this has something to do with the JB update.
Very aggravating to not be able to use maps or other applications while talking.
This is what I hate about Android. So far I've never had an Android device that did all of the BASIC things properly and I've always been chasing "that final fix". It seems Google's bar for a software release is very low.

any gsm provider (or provider with LTE) can do data while in a call, with gsm your phone needs to be on 3g/H and with cdma you need LTE and to be connected to LTE signal

Could be either I guess. I'm in an LTE area. Hard to believe they're throwing this feature under the bus though for people without LTE phones. I can imagine they'd really be cheesing off the iPhone community. I'll see if I can dig up another phone to test.
Annnnd with stock 4.1.2 this is also a problem.
Once data drops while you're on a call it NEVER comes back until the call is completed. And it's only a problem with the GN.
Pro job guys.
This phone has been a big disappointment for me. Camera quality, low volume, and occasionally working voice/data. If they can't get basic crap right who cares about Project Butter?

AT&T LTE phones actually drop back to HSPA when you're on a call, so it would be affecting people with LTE phones as well.

Out of the phones I have, it's only the GN that's exhibiting this problem. And, in fact, in the past it did not suffer from this problem. Some bug was introduced.
Further follow up... Under less than ideal conditions it looks like the GN (and now Nexus 4 as well) both will drop data entirely until the end of a call. This seems to happen if your connection is bumped down to 2G. During the entire duration of the call the data connection will never be reestablished.
You must end the call to get data back. This happens both on AT&T and T-Mobile networks. I don't know whether this is a GSM/HSPA limitation or a bug in Android. I think it's an Android bug.
Additionally AT&T's simultaneous data speed is throttled back so much it's crazy bad. I found far FEWER drops on T-Mobile because AT&T's network just seems to stink so badly. It's got more holes than Swiss cheese.
Data speeds are also much higher on T-Mobile. Off call they're much higher and on call there's no comparison. T-Mobile isn't throttling data when on a call.
AT&T effectively doesn't support simultaneous voice and data any longer. Their ads are bull. Some more information on it:

No 4G on CM9 or CM10

So i have played around with flashing different ROMs to my Nitro and quite like where CM10 is going. The only real issue that i have found is that while on CM10, my phone doesn't seem to be using 4G(which I understand is HSPA+). On the ICS Stock ROM, I can go to Settings > About Phone > Status(or something like that) and it says "HSPA+" and never changes. Wondering if it is just CM10, I flashed CM9 and had the same issue.
Today, I found that if i am connected to WiFi, I can disable it and my phone will show "HSPA+" for about 4 seconds, then go to "UMTS" for a second, and then to "HSPA". It never returns to "HSPA+".
This seems like a pretty big issue but every time I post a question about it in the various threads about CM, it gets skipped over and nobody talks about it. So, I thought it was time to make a thread for it.
Mine seems to work well on cm9 and cm10 not sure why your having an issue

Nevermind, just saw on a different post that you're trying to flash 20c correct? Even though it may be compatible, I would try to stick with what is stable with CM10. One of the band versions is of course the 10j baseband dated 26 Feb 2012. With all the security measures from lg, at&t, and Google combined, it is possible that they may have some sort of block installed that slows you, unless you run their genuine 4.1 stock jb software. It would not suprise me at all.

I just flashed the 20c manually (I.e. firmware+baseband) via if= + of= command and got this result of it:

I don't know if it works, but to flash the official KDZ file may be a way...

I found out that it is actually a feature inherent in the radio that it only uses 4G when it needs it in order to save on battery.
I'm having a similar problem: every time the phone reboots (and it unfortunately does this frequently since going to CM9), the phone won't see LTE. I have to go into the Field Test mode (*#*#4636#*#*), where it is always reverted to WCDMA preferred and switch to LTE/GSM auto.
Any ideas?

I had this. I fooled around getting Field Test to show LTE/GSM auto, then going into the usual menu, putting it to LTE/GSM auto, going back to Field Test and checking it was Ok, then going back to the menu, switching to GSM auto, then going back to Field Test, etc., then going back to menu, switching to LTE/GSM, then checking Field Test, then rebooting (or something like that
BTW, there's an app in the market called "Hidden Menu" that will save you typing the key sequence each time. (There are actually multiple apps with the same name - the one I use has green #'s in the icon.)
Good luck!
Nothing Above EDGE
Hello,
I'm a new member, but I have been an XDADev reader and android/iPhone/PC/Mac/Things that go buzz, whirr, click, zoom and or boom/ for my whole life.
I have a Nitro HD, (AT&T P930).
I followed Mattman's (Thanks! WELL done.) improved guide on unbricking/rooting etc. I have been rooted and updating every week or so to the latest CM10 nightly (VERY buggy at first! But half the "fun" for a nerd like me).
The dam shame of it is that I cannot get ANYTHING above EDGE (2G) to work. I have been stuck at 100kbps or so for weeks now. My only saving grace is that I have wifi at work and at home. But anytime other than that I am basically without any significant data.
When I initially saw this thread, I thought YES! Finally somebody has reported this and we are going to get to the bottom of it. But now after reading through it, (Especially Mattman saying its inherent to the radio) then perhaps MY problem is an isolated one and I did something wrong? I was wondering if anyone would like to help me address it? Because my problem is that while on CM10 it truly does NOT connect to 3G or 4G, ever. (went back to stock ICS and got minimum 3G all day, with spurts of 4G wherever my phone found it).
I am pretty good at this crap, so I wont need much hand holding. Just point and shoot me in the right direction
What I'm thinking right now is that perhaps my baseband is not correct, or maybe I should re-flash it?
Current basic info:
Network: T-Mobile
Mobile network type EDGE:2 (Poop)
Service state: In service
Mobile network state: Disconnected (wtf? I can get texts/calls/slow as shyt data)
Android Version: 4.1.1
Baseband Version: P930-MDM9200B-V10f-OCT-31-2011-XX (should it be this?)
Kernel version:
3.0.8-cynaogenmod+
[email protected] #1
Fri Oct 5 01:48:44 PDT 2012
CyangoenMod Version: 10-20121005-Nightly-p930
Thanks alot to anyone who can assist. (I'm close to giving up and going back to stock ICS "permanently", 3G and 4G work with that BTW).

It's because you're on T-Mobile. AT&T phones won't work with T-Mobile's 3G/4G data.
I should clarify that you can roam onto AT&T's 3G network (because of the deal between AT&T and T-Mobile when their attempted merger failed), but that will only allow you to use a small amount of data (i.e., a small fraction of your full data plan allotment). Details here: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-3299
I'm not sure if you need to do something special to get data roaming to work for you, but it's only going to give you 200MB of data use per month at the most, so it's probably not the solution you're looking for.

Thanks very much for the info Drumist, Tmobile says the opposite, but I will call them and try to talk to someone in their higher level tech support (surprisingly good, some of them are!) and see if they have a different story to tell.
Further Clarification: The phone is unlocked and I am a T-Mobile subscriber with a 2gig per month 4G plan and a Tmobile sim card is in the phone.
The phone runs fine all the way up to the 2gig limit at 4G speeds on the stock ICS rom. (And I have had other unlocked ATT 4G phones run at 4G on tmobile's network. This is the experience that leads me to believe the problem is with the current rom).
I'm really getting the feeling I should just go back to it (rooted v20c ICS). The amount of variables here are a bit more than my time resources permit to ferret out.

Well, it's possible that it works. The Nitro HD supposedly supports the 2100MHz 3G band (which I didn't realize until just now looking), although AT&T doesn't use that particular frequency. T-Mobile uses both 1700MHz (AWS) and 2100MHz for their 3G/"4G" services. As I understand it, most of their network uses 1700MHz, with a smaller portion using 2100MHz. You may be lucky and happen to reside in an area with 2100MHz service, or I'm just wrong about that and 2100MHz is common. In any case, if you say you get service on stock ROM, then you get service.
So, based on that, I'd say the most likely cause of your problem is that you don't have the proper APN settings for T-Mobile on your device. You can find those settings here: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-1979

Following rani9990's advice earlier in this post, I did go through the APN settings based exactly off of that specific page. And even tried the mytouch4G APN settings, both worked, but both still only resulted in an EDGE connection. And I tried it again, in exasperation, to no avail.
Thanks again drumist, your time and advice is truly appreciated and valued.

Opposite here, guess it depends on your area. Mine is better than ever but right before the 4.4 update it was horrid. I think they're trying to overhaul their network now so it might be shaky for a bit.

Never had the data issues when I was on stock 4.1.2.
For me, a solution that is temporary may be leaving mobile data on, don't turn it off. Power phone off and power on again. Wait for data to connect.
I did that and my data seemed to be stable, but if you turn your data off and leave it off for a while and turn it on again, it'll become unstable again.

My data on kit Kat is better than ever. 4.3 was horrible and 4.1.2 was pretty good
I'll also bet they are doing tower upgrades. Be patient sprint is overall the best.
If you go to Verizon you may have a good signal but it's will cost you about 30% more in cost and you'll constantly have to
Monitor your data.

When I call customer service I get connected with an office in Shreveport where I speak to Americans. Sorry to inform you that they're typically not any more knowledgeable than the people you're referring to. The good thing is that I get to speak to people at all. When I was on AT&T that was often an incredibly difficult thing to do. The last time I spoke with Sprint's customer service, it was in regards to how horrible my cell signal is at my house. The lady told me that they were indeed updating their system in my area and were expecting it to be 100% completed in the first part of June. I'm waiting to see how that goes before complaining any further.

Hahahaha. Yeah that's the story I've heard for the last 2 years. Sprint LTE is a joke. I regularly get sub 10k speeds with 4G connection. Enter a building and it's back to 1x. Come July I have 2 GS3s for sale and it's buhbye Sprint after 10+ years of broken promises.

Must be location related. I live in the middle of nowhere, in a forest nonetheless, and in my house I get 1 bar of 3G. On my back porch I get 2 bars of LTE, but in town I get full LTE. It's slightly less signal than I got at home on AT&T but then I was paying almost twice as much for only 2 gigs of data. But, I suppose the grass is always greener... :sly:
Just updated to 4.4 and data connection seems to be stable. When I was on 4.3 the past 3 weeks it would shift to 3G a few times but I think Sprint is upgrading our towers. On 4.4 its gone down a few times to 3G but I'm banking on the Towers.
Ive been on 4.4.2 for a few weeks now and my devices ability to hold onto a signal has gone down considerably. Previously I had to roam at my house. (We live in the country) Now a lot of time I have no signal at all! There's nothing to be done about it so I just use wifi and don't worry about it.
My data keeps going from 4GLTE to 3G no matter where I go unless I reboot my phone.

T-Mobile One - Pixel 2 XL Signal Issues?

Well I'm testing out T-Mobile in my area since AT&T is frankly getting too expensive for me. I received my SIM card today, turned the phone off, put it in, and powered back on. Everything seems to be working and upon initial boot I show LTE.. Then I eventually see 3G, then H+ ... My area is saturated with LTE for T-Mobile and I'm a bit confused as to why I'm having such an issue with signal. Signal with my AT&T wasn't horrible, but never dropped LTE on me while in my home.
Is there anything specific I can do to improve reception at all? I am running DP2 of Android P.. Maybe there's an issue there.. I can't seem to figure this out. T-Mobile says everything should be running fine as the coverage is there.

Just a thought, don't know if it'll help or not. Have you thought about fastbooting a different radio from the latest 8.1 factory image?? I honesty don't know if there's any difference between them, but it maybe worth a shot. If your bootloader unlocked of course

Always unlocked, and I did flash back to the May 8.1 update. It did improve a little.. it's just a puzzling situation. There's a T-Mobile tower less than a mile from me up on a hill a bit. It's very close.. Maybe too close? I don't know.. I get LTE from it.. Luckily a signal booster from them is free and may help. So far I haven't dropped signal completely since going back to 8.1 but it's running close to -119 which I think if memory serves, is very low.
I have been on T-Mobile for years. My signal on my Pixel 2 XL has been really good except my friend's new apartment, but I think it's because the building is blocking the signal really heavily.

10 to 1 your actually too close to the tower and the signal is actually going over the top of you. What happens when you get 2-3 miles away from it. This is all just spec on my part though ?

I never thought of that.. my house is a total dead zone. I drove around town and was getting 100+Mbps download speeds, amazing signal. So it's not the phone/radio. It's either I'm too close, or something odd with the tower. Maybe it's an old 2G tower they 'turned into' LTE? I don't know, I do know it's one of the oldest radio towers in town.. I drove as close to the tower as I could without trespassing.. I know the signal could be going over my head, but it only pulled about 23Mbps ... Closer to downtown I was pulling 120+Mbps on the speed test..
Not sure there's anything I can really do other than ask for a booster for the house and see if that helps. I can do without signal at home due to the Wifi calling, but is that a risk? I have a landline, but only for work.. May have to pull double duty.. All this is to save myself some money.. 4 Paid Lines with T-Mobile is cheaper than 3 Paid lines and one free line with AT&T.. it's crazy..
It may have something to do with the Android Beta's, I remember seeing signal issues like this on the Oreo beta as well.
Are you still seeing signal issues on the may security patch?
There is a tmo specific flash for June.
And the build is working for the most part....

The latest June release did fix some issues.. but didn't fix the issues in my home. Seems the signal in the area has issues penetrating some buildings. A tower is close but the theory from T-Mobile and others that I've talked to on here and elsewhere is the tower is just a bit too close and likely going over my head. They sent me a CellSpot. This thing is amazing! Connects to my ISP and uses that to 'phone home' to T-Mobile. It sends out full signals of 3G/4G and 4G LTE. It's amazing and free! Sends a strong signal outside of the house and around too.. T-Mobile is something else!!
So when you say ISP, you mean T-Mobiles network?

No, it's actually connected to my ISP Suddenlink. I don't know how it all works, but through the internet, when I'm using LTE instead of regular Wifi, it's using the T-Mobile Network but through my ISP connection. I don't know how it works, but my signal is roughly -60 to -50 at all times inside and outside around my house.
