Deff posted in the wrong section...... and kernel has alot to do with battery life also is not just the rom
Deff hands down darkside digital warfare. I've run most all here and will testify to this fact. in dark there also is a special script you can issue to increase battery even more. Its a long thread but the terminal command is in there.

So i am completley new to xda and the rooting world. Ivd learned a lot and cannot seem to stop flashing new roms, themes, and kernals. Big props to all you developers because this has easily become my new hobby. Im starting to do mods and was wondering if there is a battery mod that will extend my battery life. I cant seem to find one for battery life, all i can find are percentage mods. Im running jugs 4.1, an ics theme, and bullets 2.9 kernal. Thanks in advanced, the xda community is awesome!!!

Whats a mod for battery life? and why cant you reply in Andr Devt section?
I dont think there is such a thing to extend battery life, a lot of people say if you use the app Juice Defender from the market that it makes the battery last a lot longer, I've never tried it but people swear by it, and to comment on the development section, i believe you have to have a minimum of posts to ur name, I believe its 10 or 15

let the pandas die, they dont deserve to live.
This question was asked probably more than 50 times, and my answer always have been Stock Jelly Bean. Why? Because it works and works well. Why do you want to switch to custom ROM that might have bugs and lose stability? Stock ROM performs really well and has probably the best battery life. Custom ROM is only good for more customization if you ask me.
With that being said, if you WANT to use custom ROM, try as many as you can and stick with one that you like the most. There is no best ROM. Only the ROM that fits you the most.
Hope that answered your question
 The hits just keep on comin!
if you have to ask what is the 'best rom' then you should stay stock because that shows your fear of any possible bugs or glitches. In which case rom development and beta testing is not for you, best you stay rooted stock or even just locked stock until you find there is something you need or really desire to have on your phone instead of 'rooting because its cool'.

All ROMs are the best! Someone in every thread will tell you that but NO ONE can tell you which is best for you.
You have to read the ROM thread and decide which one has features that suit YOUR needs

Honestly they all seem about the same to me. You may squeeze a little extra out by flashing a custom kernel and playing with settings a bit.

Strong Steves Odex Blue ROM is Great on battery and is very smooth and fast. Give it a try
They all do for the users that run them. No one runs their phone the same as you so you have to try them and see.
"What is the Best" threads are meaningless in that respect.
I'm new to this rom flashing thing and I've been researching but i have a hard time finding a list of ROMs and their functions.
what are some battery life rom and or kernels?
mind you, I put stability as my top concern. So I'd like something that gives me a longer battery life with as few bugs as possible.
As a side note, what are some performance kernels and /or rom?
Thanks!

You must have accidentally missed the rom list (bible) that is stickied in the general section during your search.
Re: good battery rom and/or kernel for t999v?
FYI, the mods will close this type of thread it's kind of taboo to ask about which roms/kernels are good or bad.

Is it worth switching from moar to P.A.C man? I hate stock based roms, but the battery is incredible.
I also enjoy hybrid a lot.so in your honest opinion do you think it's Mike the switch over to pacman ROM.

Make a nandroid backup and find out. Wouldn't hurt.. You can always go back to where you were.

I agree with Ninja25. Nowadays, most ROMs (both AOSP and TW) have pretty good battery life. I personally don't mess around with kernels too much, but most people report is that the kernel makes the biggest difference. The main point that kennyglass123 was bringing up was that even though we all have the same phone, one person's setup will not work as well for another person. The best bet is to read the ROM's last 5-10 pages and see what people are reporting on battery life (common topic on each ROM's thread). Typically people will report their settings in order to get those hours out of their phones.
In summary, try out the ROM with stock kernel. If the battery life lacks luster, flash a different kernel (make sure it's compatible with your version of android, 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.2.1, 4.2.2, etc.) and see if it makes it better.
And please, please make a Nandroid backup before messing with anything. It's just good practice.
There are many ways to maximize your battery life on android. Turning off data or WiFi when not in use. Get betterbatterystats and figure out which app is draining the most. Turn off GPS / Bluetooth when not in use. Have your email sync to 2hours or 4 hours syncs. There are so many ways to maximize your battery life. If any of these didn't help then go ahead and use custom kernels. I never found the use of them. Stock kernel does just fine. (My opinions) hope this helps and good luck to you and your battery
