I'm trying to find a good car charger. I have one already but when I'm talking on the phone and it on the charger it is still losing power

Check around the forums, there are a lot of threads on this topic.
For the record, I just got this one off of amazon and it works quite well.
I have this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Micro-..._1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1332046961&sr=1-1
Cheap, Amazon Prime Available, 1amp, and low profile.
I'd recommend popping it apart and shorting the data pins on the usb header in order to get fast charging without a special cable.
Great find on the car charger just what i was looking for!

Hey guys,
I was wondering if you guys knew of a good replacement for the samsung wall charger. I lost mine and I want to get a replacement wall charger that pumps out at 1A or whatever the original one was. Thanks for the help guys!
I'd stick with the Samsung original, it charges so fast! In less than two hours back to full battery, I've substituted using other chargers that comes with other phones at work and it's definitely slower

Here's the extra one I ordered, works just as good as the one that came with my phone, they seem to be identical

I like to use motorola's chargers, you can find them on amazon: "Motorola micro USB charger". They're more or less identical to the samsung ones besides the more rectangular form factor. I also recommend the motorola car charger if you're in the market for that. Both are quick charge and fill a dead battery in 1-2 hours.
I just ordered a Griffin PowerJolt. I hope I get one of the newer ones that work with ac mode.
I use the USB port in my deck.

I just got one of the low profile Griffin Powerjolts .... I haven't used it for a full charge yet, but it appears to work ok so far.
What is the AC mode you are speaking of?
I don't recall the exact part number, but its the oem HTC kit I got for my One S prior to trading it in. Nothing fancy, but high quality and power, and the S3 doesn't seem to be picky.

How do you stop the deck from trying to index the whole phone? That is the problem I've had when trying that in the past. Is their a setting somewhere, or a cable mod that allows charging but no data?
I use the I-GO, bought it at Radio Shack in I think 2004, been able to charge any phone I've had since then all you have to do is buy the little adapter for each phone, just got one for my GSII for 7 bucks after changing from an IPhone.
Using the t mobile branded mini usb chadger that i got with moto razr. I added a mini to micro usb adapter.

Scosche reVIVE II. It has 2 ports, 1amp and 2.1amp. I usually use the 2.1 amp port and it works great.

I was using some cheap usb charger but it was going loose all the time so I purchased Scosche Powerfuze.
It is a bit expensive but top notch product.

Some cheapo usb adapters do not charge at full power. They charge as if they are plugged into a computer (500ma)
It is because the factory forgets to short the datapins.

I use the motorola charger. I had heard good things so I bought one and it seems to work just fine.

When I plug my phone in its charge only. Only when I go to "USB mode" dose it index the phone.

I did a lot of research and came up with the following. Been using it for a week now and it charges fast. I did short out the two center usb pins. This is a true 3.1 amp charger. It does not split the power to charge two devices like most 2 amp chargers do. One plug is 1 amp and the other is 2.1 amp.

So no matter where I look, I cannot find good chargers for my GN2. Here I was thinking that I'd be able to use my 10+ white brick crapple charging blocks at 1A and here my awesome GN2 uses a 2A.
Now I understand that Apple swayed away from yet another standard and the pins need to be shorted in almost all car chargers in order for anything other than an apple device to accept an AC charge. Awesome.
I'm very happy that this huge battery needs a 2A charger but I'm back at square one. I need chargers... I need a lot. Please somebody point me in the right direction on what every android peep is doing to charge their phones on fast chargers... I am mostly in need of a car charger. Every forum I look at, the thread ends with no definitive answer...
Much thanks.

And this should be under accessories.

This is the charger that I use for my car charging needs. Ive had it for a couple if years and it has worked flawlessly. It also has an extra usb port for charging a 2nd device. I havent had any quality issues with mine like some of the reviewers have claimed. This works brilliantly with my Note 2. It can output up to 4 amps and charges 2 Note 2's with max screen brightness and GPS with no problem.

u have to ask but radio shack has a decent one and they are having a sale. and no i dont work for them lol. its a 2A 4port charger. also keep in mind the 1A will work its just not a rapid charger. as an over night charger it will still have enough.
Needs to be moved to Q&A section

Thanks ysposjihg. Gfymusbad.
I was looking for a charging stand so I can watch my Slingbox while my Note charges and found the Myrin Sync & Charge Dock on Ebay. It folds for portability and can be used either to charge or just support the Note. Because it has no sides, it can work with any Sammy Tab that has the 30 pin connector (nice as I have 3 around the house) and I don't have to remove the case to charge.
Nice find.
Good Stand
Very nice, looking for similiar stand kits with charging port :victory:
Hi couple of question does it has its own charging adapter or we use the stock samsung one
Also the case you have looks cool how much did you get that for
The eBay item says USB cable included, but I doubt you get the charger.
I think this original accessory should also do the trick:

Thanks, but that one has been discussed at length in other threads here. The OP's contribution is a link to a dock that has not previously been seen or discussed. :good:
It comes with a USB cable but not the charging block. You could use your original cable as well it just slots into the base as shown in the photo.
The case is from deal extreme for $15. It's Pleather and has the 3 viewing angles.
Instead of the charging cable would you be able to get a HDMI adapter in there

The HDMI adapter is, for some reason best known to Samsung, far thicker than the charging cable, so I'd sadly guess not.

The one I got barely charges the phone, it charges really really slow, any of you guys know of a good brand?
also looking for a good efficient wireless charger what do you guys think?
Thanks in advance.
I use the tmobile universal charger w/ extra USB port. Charges great even while using it. http://m.ebay.com/itm/151153813473

Been using this one for a couple years, dual 1 amp ports and it's very low profile. Sticks out of the power socket just a few millimeters. Charges as fast as most standard USB chargers.
http://www.amazon.com/Griffin-Techn...r=8-8&keywords=griffin+2+port+usb+car+charger
Edit: Some of the reviews are claiming that's a counterfeit one, and it could be considering it's a fraction of the price. But the actual Griffin one is the one I have and it's been working great for me for at least 2 years.
Thank you guys, I'm thinking of going with the griffin charger.
