I don't get it.... it looks like you just hacked a case apart and glued it to the back cover. Am I missing something?

One day I am going to get a CnC milling machine and make the dopest custom cases for any phone.
$40,000 machine to make cellphone cases okay
Wife won't let me get $65.00 dremel to properly mod cases I have.
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
I'm confused on this one myself. You explained steps took, but what is the point of this mod to begin with? I've looked at the pics you provided several times and its just not coming together for me. Not trying to be rude in any way I just don't get it
I can dream, can't I?
If I had one of those I would probably find some time to fan parts for bikes the guys on my other forum... Uh oh.

Came across this crafty mod on TheChive, great little stand think I might use it myself

Is that glued to the battery cover?
Ah. A fellow chiver. Saw this as well. I just got excited to see our beloved phone featured finally. I just wish it wasn't because of that ridiculousness. Lol
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
If it was glued to some cheap case at least it would be ugly AND removable.
Ugly! Looks like someone glued the back of a picture frame to the cover. I hope no one tries to sell this crap.
lol so ghetto.
That's terrible. Buy a business card holder for like 4 bucks and use that instead. If somebody payed me I wouldn't do this to my nexus.

Coming soon waterproof to 2m for 30 minutes, but I'm sure would go much longer. It's expensive but will probably be around $50 on Amazon. It's worth saving your phone and insurance or replace cost. Plus underwater pictures on a cell phone would be nice. Anybody else getting one?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
only 2m?
That is the requirement to meet the IP67 rating. A device that is certified IP67 must survive at 1 meter for 30 minutes.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
I think well worth it, how many times will it be under 6 ft? I posted on the Otterbox Facebook asking if they had a waterproof case in the works but did not get a solid response. I wonder how underwater picture quality would be and if any audio would pick up. There is a case for the iPhone that is waterproof, it's about time we got something.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
They now have the srp posted on their sitw. $80-$90, this is still worth it
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Just like the defender is almost half price anywhere other than the otterbox site you should be able to get one at 2/3 60-70 range I hope. Has anybody seen the iPhone in the lifeproof case? Asking in the wrong place maybe someone knows somebody?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
wow pictures underwater sounds nice.. and the price is not too high
after 30 minutes what would happen? will water break through the case or the phone will be damaged by the pressure?
I'm not sure, I've seen iPods in Missouri cases go hours. Get a case put some weight and a paper towel in it to test.
Edit: Lifeproof, not Missouri

I'm excited about this. I've been using a drycase for kayaking and have been waiting for a more elegant solution.

Normally would post this in the "Member Found Deals" section, but since it's SGSIII specific, I decided to post it here for anyone that may be interested.

You know on Amazon these cases are cheaper. There is a thread in the accessories section with links and people discussing this case.
I bought mine for $25.00 off amazon with free 2 day shipping. Check it out.

Everything is cheaper on Amazon, you can buy toilet paper for cheap on that site lol. But ya that case seems over rated. Just a name brand. Though, I'd be all over a Nike case, haha.

The case is not at all overrated. Best case I've ever owned. Feels more secure than my seidio active case and adds less thickness. Good snug fit too.

Amazon and newegg are my go to places to shop online.
Anyway regarding the case I don't think it's overrated. It's really nice and has a unique aggressive design. It has a nice wow factor. When people see it for the first time they almost fall in love with it.
In terms of protection: if there is a bar with no protection, mid level protection and maximum protection, this case would be in mid level.
I recommend it to those ppl who don't drop their phone's too often. It doesn't add much bulk at all and still looks sleek and awesome.
If you tend to drop your phone a lot then move to the otterbox/ballistic level of cases.

Hey guys, so I've really really been contemplating picking up a Raspberry Pi but I'm just a little hesitant because I have heard rumors of Rev C being in the works right now. Anyways, I was interested in what kinds of cases you guys have on your Pi. I would love to see all the different kinds of cases you guys have

Thanks. I got my pi from Newark.com and have been checking back there for cases and it seems they don't often have anything good in stock

If you want a list of over 40 awesome cases for the RPi, I would take a look at http://elinux.org/RPi_Cases. It has everything from DIY Lego cases to cases made of wood and pretty much everything in between.

Thanks shrimp!
I got myself a Pibow, like the other poster I used cable ties through the holes to secure it. Before I bought the case I bought some rubber feet from ebay, but the threaded pins act as feet so they weren't needed. The build instructions ape the Ikea single sheet instructions, a nice cultural touch.
I finally got a pibow as well, I had a temp case cause I could never find the pibow I wanted in stock. Adafruit.com has them in the original and the new 4 colors. I got the ninja model. Also if you live in the US, youll have it in 2days. Its a great site for everything pi, arduino, electronics related you could want.

Well I don't have a case per se, but i ordered this from ebay:
It serves its purpose (hidden media extender, running raspbmc) quite well

Was wondering what that case was called! Awesome! :good:
You could always make one yourself. I made this one.
Used materials:
Birch Wood 1/4 inch thick
Dremel/Jigsaw (cutting)
Wood varnish (i used one that had the polyurethane already in the paint
Wood filler
Sand paper (derp)
Crazy glue (it works well on wood apparently)
Wood burn kit (first time i ever tried my hand at it)
Bring on the BlackMage! Haduken!
Thanks for the link shrimp! A lot of cool cases.
