GPU drivers released - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Qualcomm has released the GPU drivers for the Adreno 2xx GPU. I would assume this is good news for developers right? Here's a link to the post: http://android.modaco.com/page/news/_/android/qualcomm-launches-ics-drivers-for-adreno-2xx-gpus-r404

[Q] Lazybones with some games ...

I have download some games with my HTC DHD and the Wilffire and the game on the HTC W are lazybones, slow motion ... but not on DHD. Any idea ??

It's not too difficult really. Compare the hardware specs of the DHD and Wildfire and you have your answer.
DHD - Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 1GHz CPU, Adreno 205 GPU
Wildfire - Qualcomm MSM7225 528MHz CPU, NO GPU.

LOL I'll rephrase
DHD - Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 Scorpion MSM8255 1GHz CPU, Adreno 205 GPU
Wildfire - Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7225 528MHz CPU, NO GPU
Hi, not really because the same games are installed on the phone of my daughter (sony XPERIA X8) and they run fine... Strange

X8 also has a GPU (Qualcomm MSM7227 600MHz CPU, Adreno 200GPU). So, nothing strange about it.

[Q] New Qualcomm binaries

Hi all! I'm new here. I saw that Qualcomm just relased new binaries for Adreno 2xx gpu. But I've also heard that these binaries were developed and tested only for armv7cpu. As you may know, our galaxy gio has an Adreno 200 gpu, but an armv6 MSM7227 cpu. So I wonder if there's no hope to get this binaries working on Gio ICS port! Can someone, please, answer me?
In other posts, devs said it was not possible...
Oook. Thanks

Qualcomm Adreno and HTC ICS Kernel

Anyone else excited about Qualcomm releasing drivers for the adreno 2xx gpu's? And HTC releasing an ICS kernel?

well we need our own kernel source before we get true ics kernels rather than hacking up .35 gb kernels to work
though the drivers were nice of them to drop

Ah, well that's a bummer. I guess I got caught up in the headline about ICS kernel source being released. That makes sense though. Thanks for the answer.
Yea
It means it that much closer to ICS for me. Hmmm Ice cream.

Well there is no proper working kernel as yet to make 1 GHz over clock..900 Mhz is stable now..1 Ghz is making battery drain a lot..Try merruks Kernel it can OC upto 900 which is more than enough for G-Y as it does not have a GPU..

that just 'display'. internally still 832mhz. about 2-3 weeks after maroc's thread beginning i post some prof (with help from other members) that merruk kernel always run at 832mhz. try to search from merruk thread. and technically imposible for sgy cpu running at 900mhz without hardware modification.

i don't know. maroc himself find some other unbranded chines phone type that using same cpu running at 1Ghz (not exactly 1Ghz i guess), but they don't have kernel source. i am already half way to oc but i find deadlock, so i stop my research.

1024mhz also not working

900 which is more than enough for G-Y as it does not have a GPU.

it has a GPU called:
Broadcom BCM2763 VideoCore IV LPDDR2 128MB 1 gigapixel fill rate, 40nm

Right ..GPU is very important for OCs..
Also 900 MHz is also not working on our SGY..it shows it OCs to 900 but its at 832 only..Try searching through the merruks kernel topic and some members say that it isnt overclocking to 900 too..
Thnq guys for info.

Archos 101 G9 different versions

Hey guys,
I'm a bit confused. I want to purchase an Archos 101 G9 tablet but I found many different specs or maybe just wrong.
So maybe you can help me out here. I already searched this board but couldn't find exactly my misery, but maybe only because no one else had?
I found versions with 1.0, 1,2 and 1.5GHz CPUs as well as with different RAM configurations - 512MB and 1024MB.
Of course, I would like to have the 1.5GHz and 1024MB version. Are the different offers really different devices or is it like the 1.5GHz CPU just stepped down to 1.2?
Also, I red somewhere that the 1024MB are always build in, but just 512MB are available to use with HC, but the full 1024MB are available with ICS.
So, maybe you can give me some details on this topic and/or some tips what to look at when buying.
Thanks in advance,
SilverstarX

Get turbo edition (the one with 1.5ghz and 1gb ram). It has small sticker in front side, right bottom corner saying turbo. They are mostly the same. Only cpu and ram differences AFAIK. They have same custom and official roms, so you can upgrade any of them to ics. I hope this answers to your question.

Hey julle131,
thanks for your answer. I would prefer to buy the tablet online, so looking on the front would be a problem.
Also, I found "turbo" versions with 1.2GHz, too. That is what I meant confusing. So either the given details are wrong or there are different versions... thats why I'm asking here.

Do they have picture of package? Just look for 1.5ghz processor and 1gb ram. Its more expensive. All of them should be upgradeable to ics, if they really are g9.

Sorry, but you don't understand my question. I want know if the 1.5 ghz cpu is stepped down to 1.2 ghz, because the Archos 101 G9 Turbo 250 GB is often descriped with 1.2 Ghz. I thought maybe Archos build in an 1.5 ghz cpu and regulate it on 1.2 ghz...
yes the first "turbo" is on 1.2 Ghz

Is what? Limited down 1.2 Ghz or is it really a different chipset/cpu?
The 1.2 GHz version is the same CPU as the 1 GHz version. The 1.5 GHz is the omap 4460 and the 1.0 and 1.2 is the omap 4430

Archos made a bad mistake with their different versions.
They have:
Normal 4430 @ 1.0
Turbo 4430 @ 1.2
Turbo 4460 @ 1.2
Turbo 4460 @ 1.5
