Evo Swype?

Can someone provide me with a download for swype? and does anyone know if it is compatible with Virus' Kingdom Revolution rom?

Search swype on google off of your phone, make an account and then download.

Swype is missing?

Hi everyone,
I just got my T-989 back from repair from Samsung and I noticed Swype is missing. It is not in any of the options. How can I get it back?

If you just google "swype", you can install the beta from the website. If you ever install a custom ROM, a lot of them don't come with swype installed so that's how you would get it back in that instance also.

Hey bro honestly the easiest way to do this is open a ROM you have downloaded and goto system app and look for Swype in the zip pull from the zip and put in your sys app and reboot

I can't do that because apparently Swype is pre-installed in SGSII even though it is not on my phone.

This is somewhat vague... Can you explain this in better detail? I found a Swype.apk that is not different from the Beta version specified above, however I cannot install that. You stated to place it in the "sys app," I did not do that, I simply tried to install it. Where is the sys app?

If you have root find swype libs remove them fix permissions then install swype beta from swype site or you can just flash a custom rom and install there beta from the site.

Plus the beta is better than what comes with the phone.

Maybe try a firmware upgrade using kies. If installing Swype beta make sure you have install from unknown sources box checked in options.

[Q] Kernel question.

I'm going to replace my T989's stock ROM with Jugg 5.0.
How do I go about replacing the stock Kernel with Mr. X's Synergy. Only reason I want that Kernel is to have the flashing capacitive buttons for notification purposes...
Do you recommend these two together? Is that possible (since the Kernel is based off Jugg)?
I know how to install the ROM...just not the Kernel.
Also, what is the purpose of replacing the "stock modem?"

You can flash the synergy rom just fine with jugs 5.0. Im using that setup right now. Wipe cache and dalvik and then flash synergy then reboot.

[Q] A couple questions about Paranoid Android

I'm running CleanGB and I would like to try PA.
Does it include Swype keyboard?
If not, has anyone restored the swype apk from backup and run it on PA?
Also, is PA a BML or MTD ROM?

PA is MTD, and you can install Swype Beta using the Swype website.

[Q] Downgrade from ICS to Froyo

My Evo 4g is is currently running ICS.
I want to use it with HdmWln and the only option for it I think is to downgrade it to use Froyo or Gingerbread.
Can anyone help?
