I'm not trying to be negative but all the information is out there. It just takes a little time to read what you are actually signing and agreeing to before just blinding putting your signature down and giving out your info.
Even though they say it is unlimited, it is still technically true. You can still eat as much data as you can, but after you go over the subscribed plan, you get throttled. Yea, the speeds suck, but technically you can still 'use data'. This is actually not an uncommon practice for major ISPs looking get a few more bucks in forcing heavier users to upgrade. This is no different.
That is true but that does not mean it's right. You are basically giving companys the o.k to use clever wording in ads and not live up to there word.

Not quite. When it has become an industry standard to do, you basically have no alternatives. Sprint? I guess that is one 'exception' but with everyone migrating to them it clogs them up just the same with an different type of throttling that is caused by other users instead of the company itself.
No one told them it is ok to define 'unlimited' for us, but when they all took the same stance, it's hard to shop around and pick someone that doesn't because when you find someone that doesn't throttle, they'll probably have even worse service than you would get from t-mobile.

Just wondering, when does advertising or politics not deploy this tactic? Their goal is to sell you something rather to make you want to buy it. They don't need our OK to do this. It would be more surprising if they didn't do this actually. Right and wrong really don't usually have much impact on marketing as long as there is the slightest bit of truth imbedded in the statement. We don't have "4g" either much less "bottomless unlimited 4g" we have an allotment. Not trying to be argumentative just pointing out a realistic perspective on how things are marketed to us.

well thats why i switched to simple, im still being throttled but i pay 60 bucks and speed is ok, i got tired of overpaying for getting throttled and in three months those savings will be the 200 i payed for the cancellation after that is money in my pocket, after the vibrant and this i've learned my lesson, from now on im buying all my phones out of contract.
This is what happens when people abuse the system. Yeah I agree being throttled sucks but when u get service you agree to that. No need to complain about it later. In the end everyone's prices go up. I'm actually kinda happy they patched it up. If u want more data, pay for it.
I'm not sticking up for T-Mobile. All I'm saying is that we as customers agree to the terms they set forth which includes throttling after going above allotted data.

Probably people abusing the system and tethering to save some money.
I regularly pull 50gigs/week on a hardline connection, but that's what it's for. I don't try that kind of crap on a wireless data plan. Plus my speeds are a whole lot more consistent.

Sprint's representatives can be pretty ridiculous.
I once heard A female manager at a local Sprint store related processing power to data speeds for the Evo.
Something of the nature of "The data is faster on this phone over others because it has a 1 ghz processor"
You could clearly tell she had no clue what a processor was. Much less any relation to data speeds.

Those personality tests are not that hard... The hardest ones are for at&t and best buy.. All you do is answer as honest as possible.. Most people say answer with "strongly agree" or "strongly disagree" but some of the questions are borderline and answering like a machine from irobot *(the ones that are 3 law "safe") will send a flag to the employer... And they will know if your being honest or not
But yes I agree, I commit my self to my job and try to learn something new every day (I suffer from sever ADD) so anything to keep me active weather its improving or learning helps... Rather than doing a half ass job and slacking off for 8 hours
*disregard the analogy if you never seen irobot

Detailed billing doesn't list the numbers you texted, just the calls (incoming/outgoing).
"Regular" really depends on your point of reference.
What you are describing as the regular bill is also called the summary bill.
From the Sprint blurb, even if you choose summary (paper bill), the detailed billing is still supposed to be available online.

You take advantage of companies that are doing the right thing and are giving us the benefit of the doubt that we can be intelligent, responsible adults and have self control.
Sprint doesn't give us unlimited data so some jerk can compensate for his manhood issues by getting that usage number as high as possible and then boast about the abuse on the internet.
They do it so we can use our phones as intended without the need to second guess our usage.
You are quite literally ruining it for everyone.
As far as I'm concerned the carriers should create lists for people like you and ban you from ANY service with ANY of them.

I like how people blame this one dude for their slow internet speeds or possibly the disappearance of unlimited data. How many people do you really think use this much data? Not enough to force Sprint to change their data plans.
Sprint will change their data plans because they need the money, not because 5 people are using 100gigs a month. Call Sprint and talk to a rep about all their changes, the answer I always get is their aligning themselves with the other carriers so the only think they have left is tiered data.
Sprint loses money every qtr so they figure Verizon and AT&T must be doing something right. So let's raise our ETF fee to $350, get rid of the the premier program, raise the admin fee, remove discounts from any lines over 2nd, then remove discounts from the 2nd line as well. Do you really think Sprint will keep unlimited data for long? Do you think when they change it it will be because a few people use an obsessive amount of data?
Seriously, if you want to blame anyone, blame the idiots who made the iPhone what it is today. All these changes started to come when everyone knew the iPhone was coming to Sprint.
Sure the OP is a jerk and just posts these things to get a rise out of everyone, but I don't know why people let it get to them. You guys should really go to the iPhone section and yell at those dudes for all your wonderful changes.

I've thathered more than 40 gigs in a day on AT&T and still could just for the lulz. Before my sister, (whose line has true unlimited unthrottled, and un-monitored data), leaves for T-Mobile I'm going to go for a new record and post it on this site.
I have a perfect system in place to royally screw AT&T every month out of spite. AT&T is a whore of a company and I do that stuff as a sort of protest.
Why would you do this to Sprint though? They did nothing to deserve this.

Exactly. If you can get 10gb/day on Sprint, you should really consider sticking with them.
Smh.... why are you canceling?

Because they lied to me about my discount. No service at home. And they won't let me out of my contract. And yes I pay my bill.

What do you mean discount? I think you can even grab an employee discount for your service. Also - try to get an Airave from retentions, it'll help the service at home.

Who lied? Have you gone back and disputed this? If it was done at the store Customer service can't do much as there's no proof to what you're claiming is true so the best option is to go back to store and vice versa. Airave does help if you qualify for one. Check www.sprint.com/airavecoverage. For your discount you have to apply through www.sprint.com/verify but nothing anyone can do in regards to the % the company you're claiming offers.

...And yet you expect people to help you "support autism awareness" ?
this......
Discount for ups. Store said I would get it then they said no because I'm on the second line. And wouldn't let me return the phones. It was at best buy. Supposed to get 22% off. Called sprint and they said it on best buy side. Went to best buy and they saying nothing they can do. So stuck.
I had a regular landline at home. And had boost. Got rid of it because i got sprint.

I remember a time when people didn't have cell phones. There were a lot less idiots in the world...and better drivers.
