Drop in water huh?? Dude its a really strong phone cuz it survived a washing machine!! But their were some problems in audio Jack which I got recovered because it was still in warrant 8D. . Deleting system also doesn't work, the recovery mode is still there.

even if your SGY survived. I'll never put mine in washing machine (lol). btw, whats the point of hardbricking your device?
the first im seeing somebody that actually want to hardbrick his own device
He's obviously hoping to create an issue to get a replacment or warrenty repair
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
no point to do that, if he tried to flash or delete any data on system with root explorer, his would be rooted, thus void the warranty

Wow that Chainfire guy is a genius, first Chainfire3D to help us reduce quality of HD games and play them and now a mobile Odin. Anyways even if there were a few errors here and there on the app I doubt xda moderators would allow someone to post here a modified version as this app costs money, and such post will be considered as warez. If you have a problem you can always contact the dev, he even has a profile here ofcourse.

That dump is submitted to their devs, its kinda like creating a logcat where their devs will take a look and see if they can make changes to make app compatible so your gonna have to wait for an update from them when the app is already compatible

Hi I am new to android I just bought this s3 I747M from best buy on Telus on a 3 year contract on august. I rooted it and added a few custom roms successfully. When I tried to root my first phone (s3 current one) it got soft bricked. I easily fixed it. But then I after a few months the 4.1 update barely came out. Then I heard of the multi-view thing. I really wanted it knowing that it was probably coming out for my version on February 2013 and flash the insert coin revolution on my phone. It suddenly shut down and wouldn't open nothing, not download mode, not recovery mode, not nothing. so I decided to go search how to fix it and the only solution I know is the usb jig thing, because it's a hard brick (I thought that there was only a soft brick). Is there any solution on how to fix it without the usb jig? If you know please reply s3 is the best phone I have ever held. And the warranty is void. And when I plug it in the computer is shows up as QHSUSB_DLOAD.

Unless you are extremely technically proficient and have access to the necessary jtag hardware, your best bet is to use a jtag service. There are a few out there but I know these guys have a good reputation: http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-jtag-brick-repair/
$60 and a couple weeks without your phone may be cheaper than the time you'd spend trying to figure it out. It'd be nice if there was an easy way to do it but at the moment there isn't.
Hard bricking sucks, best of luck to you.
I agree with above post, if you dont have a technial background then best take it to a jtag dealer.

Actually since it was on a 3 year contrect telus is giving it to samsung for 2-3 weeks to fix. In the mean time they will lend me a backup phone to borrow until they return it. And the best thing is that it is free of charge.

If Samsung finds out that the phone was tampered with, they will not warranty it. They will charge you to fix it.
Your only hope is that they try to boot it and they replace the M/B without finding out you flashed it.

Hi everyone. I want to ask you how can I crash my phone?? I want to make complaints on my Wildfire S, but i have unlocked bootloader and CM 10 roms. My phone was in water but still working. I want to run only a white screen with HTC logo. Someone tell me that good idea is to install stock room then lock bootloader and again install stock rom but remove the battery during installation.

Pulling out the battery when flashing hboot or radio gives good results.
Also smashing the phone against a wall is good as well.
Seriously, what a troll. Just sell your phone if you don't like it. Please someone report this!

AW: How to crash phone??
You have damaged your phone. There is no warranty for phones that took a bath ... so they wouldn't repair it either. But what you wanna do is even worse: brick your device, so they can't see CM10 and that the BL is unlocked. I don't know if this is illegal in your country, but I'm sure that you're a fraud!

Drive a car over it. Or even sit on it. Your weight will crush it to pieces. Then go to HTC. Tell them the phone became pieces automatically. They'll give you a replacement. Happy!

A bricked phone is a brick: its screen never lights up, it is inert, dead, a brick.
A bricked phone is perforce non-functional. A malfunctioning phone may or may not be bricked. It is not described as bricked if it does light up.

If you can get into bootloader as the eBay image shows, it isn't bricked. Run the RUU. If you couldn't get into bootloader then it is a brick.
